Lawn Fawn - Lots of Hearts Week

I'm so excited to share the fun with Lawn Fawn's Lots of Hearts week!

anytime I can create a card with Lawn Fawn critters, is a good time!
for my card today, I used a bunch of cute elephants! love them!

I stamped all of the images from Elephant Parade, Elephant Parade Add-on and Fly High and colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. once they were dry, I added some details with a white gel pen and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.

I used the warm pinks from the Spiffier Speckles 6x6 paper pad to die cut out the platform from Platform Pop-Up die set. then I used Abandoned Coral and Dried Marigold Distress Inks to ink blend along the perimeter of the platform! I also splattered some of the colors on top, too! ALL THE SPRINKLES! lol!

once the platform was created, I die cut some grass borders and then used Picked Raspberry to add some ink blending, and then placed the elephants all along the front and back! I also sprinkled in a few little mice, too!
I love that the balloons make your eye go up the card!
lastly, I heat embossed the sentiment from Simply Celebrate Hearts in white onto Black Licorice cardstock.

Popform Pop-Up Penguins!

today I'm so excited to share my card that's up on the Lawn Fawn blog! and BONUS: I made a video too! you can check it out on the Lawn Fawn blog, or my youtube channel, here!

I started by stamping and coloring all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I stamped the images from Simply Celebrate Winter Critters, Penguin Party and Snow Cool.
once they were dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. I also added some details to each image with a white gel pen!

I couldn’t resist coloring the penguins in a teal color, just to change things up!


I used the Platform Pop-Up die set to for the card. I die cut 2 bases, 2 Ts and 3 hills all from white cardstock. Then I used the Brick Stencil and some Distress Oxide Ink in Lost Shadow to add the subtle grey color. I thought it would make the platform look like an igloo!! I hope that came through.


Instead of using a 3rd T shape to connect both platforms together, I used a circle Acetate die cut (inspired by Grace’s Card in the Intro to Platform Pop-Up video) and some Fair Dust Stencil Paste to add the sparkly snowflakes with the Snowflakes Backgrounds Stencils. so FUN!! 
I also die cut out the letters for JOY using the Henry’s ABCs dies. then I added color with Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina to mimic the colors of the penguins. I glued those to the side of the circle and it completed my sentiment. 


the rest of the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto Black Licorice Cardstock from Scribbled Sentiments: Winter and then fussy cut out!

I love how this whole party just pops up when you 'open' the card!! so fun and SO unique!

I also used the new All Star and Stadium Seating die set along with the Platform Pop-Up die set!
I love how interactive and FUN it makes the scene! I swear it comes to life when it pops up!


All of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut out with the coordinating dies! 
I also added some details with a white gel pen, too! 



I used some of the new paper from the All the Dots 6x6 Paper Pad, and did some ink blending on top! I used Distress Inks in Mowed Lawn, Pine Needles and Twisted Citron. Then I splattered water and colored ink on top, too! 


The sentiment was heat embossed in white onto Black Licorice Carcstock, which was die cut with the Fancy Wavy Banners! 

I also added some grass behind the scene, because I added a few little details all around the card!

feeling a little squirrely

well hello there!

today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawn blog, and bonus! I have a video for it, and you can check it out here!


I used the Center Picture Window Die Set to create a FUN, 3D scene inside this card!

bam! so much fun!
I colored all of the images from Let's Go Nuts and Big Acorn with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out! then I die cut out pieces of white cardstock with the Center Picture Window dies and went to town ink blending! ha!

I also ink blended the clouds, die cut with the Puffy Cloud Borders, to look fall with Abandoned Coral and Dried Marigold!

the sky was ink blended with Distress Oxide Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Salvaged Patina!

I did the same thing for the front and back of the card - to tie it all in!

a toucan of my appreciation!

today I have this fun, 3D card up on the Lawn Fawnatics blog! 

of course, I was playing along with current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge - 3D cards! and I made this card using the Center Picture Window Die Set! it was my first time using this die set.  I was intimidated at first, but after following along with the release day video, I was able to easily create this card! And I’m so glad I did because I love this little card that packs a BIG punch!


I did a LOT of ink blending on this card - I used Distress Inks In Mowed Lawn, Pine Needles and Twisted Citron to ink blend both sides of the large die from Center Picture Window, as well as the  inside mechanism! I think my fingers were green for 2 days! ha!
Then I used the Tropical Leaves Background stencil set to use the same greens I had ink blended with previously, but with more pressure, over all of the areas I had previously ink blended! lol!



 
I love those birds in the Toucan Do It stamp set! they’re so cute, and combined with the Tropical Leaves stenciled background - it’s a match made in heaven! I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then die cut them out with the coordinating dies!


I didn’t use any of the included die parts inside the window, instead I used the tree branches from the stamp set to add the 3D elements inside the window! 


 

I also decorated the front and back of the card with extra leaves, birds and flowers!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #107 - 3D Cards

let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

Lawn Fawn has so many different dies to use to make your cards POP with 3D fun!
I used the Shadow Box Card die set!

I started by die cutting out the Shadow Box Card pieces with Mermaid cardstock.
Then I used Blueprint Sketch and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Inks to add some water.

I also die cut out some the sandy sea floor with the Stitched Hillside Borders and then used Distress Oxide inks in Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber to add the color. I splattered some ink color and white acrylic ink on top to add the sandy texture.
  you know I can't resist splattering! ha!
I stamped images from Mermaid for You, Mermaid for You Flip-Flop and Keep on Swimming. all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut out.

  

I love how cute this came out!!

hello there! i hope you're singing along to some 80's rock with me now! ha! 

I have this card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge Blog today, and it's made with the current 3-D challenge in mind! :)

I made my very first 'waterfall' card! and while i LOVE the result...it was *not* a pretty process for me to make! lol!! I'm ready for Lawn Fawn to come out with this as a new die! lol!! anyway, here's a little video of the card in action:

ok, so all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut out! I used images from Pumpkin Spice, Love You a Latte and Push Here. The sentiment was made with Harold's ABCs. 

I created the background by using Distress Inks (Mustard Seed, Squeezed Lemonade and Fossilized Amber) and ink blending. I also splattered some color and white acrylic paint onto the background! love that happy yellow!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #27 - 3-D Cards!

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

this time...we want to see you make some 3-D cards!!

this was so fun for me!!! it pushed me to make my first ever pop up card!

So fun! I love it!
I used the adorable little Duh-Nuh stamp set for my images and sentiment! I created the 'ocean' with Distress Inks in Wilted Violet, Seedless Preserves, Blueprint Sketch and Peacock Feathers! 

Then, for the inside background I used the Ocean Wave Borders to die cut the top of the sea! love the layered waves!
I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut them out! 

ha! I love that little fin at the bottom of the front of my card!!!! I can hear the jaws music playing! 
And finally, the Everyday Pop-Ups dies were used to pop up that cute little shark! I love how this card came out, but now I'm ready to get a little more 3-D cards under my belt!

three (oh!) it's the magic number

my littlest mann turned 3 last saturday!
i honestly don't know how that happened!! he's still my little babe, time is going by WAY too fast!

the simon says stamp wednesday challenge is all about adding sparkle!! well, that might as well be anything goes, right?! it's hard to NOT at wink of stella to everything i do...and stickles recently too! so i'm entering this into the challenge this week! 

anyway, in honor of his birthday, i wanted to make him a very special card! 
i have ALWAYS loved the school house rock song about the number 3! wait, you don't know it?? well please go take a listen here, it's amazing! (like all school house rock songs! ha ha!)

ok, so my card, is totally in honor of that! for my big little 3 year old!

i used a few different lawn fawn sets here. bannerific and harold's abc's (my old favorite duo!) and then the 'magic' top hat from making frosty friends!

i used the lawn cuts puffy star stackables (which i covered with wink of stella, along with the top hat!) to add the mint colored stars to the number 3! oh but wait! the NUMBER 3 ITSELF! i used a cut file from the silhouette FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER. 

...next time, i probably shouldn't have combined using my silhouette for the first time and making a 3-D card for the first time...there was lots frustration...and perhaps a crafty item or two were flung across my room. i can neither confirm, nor deny that! lol!

but in the end, i really like how it turned out, it's fun and happy and all about 3!
