hello!
happy weekend! today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawn blog using some of the newest products! so fun! and BONUS, I have a video to share with this card, too!! you can watch it by heading to my youtube channel, or clicking here!

I think this card is so cute!
I just love the pops of color! and speaking of color, I stamped the images from A Bug Deal, Year Ten and the new Critters in the Desert stamp set. I colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.
I also added some details with a white gel pen.

I did a LOT of Distress Ink blending on this slimline card!
I cut the card base using the Scalloped Slimline with Hearts: Portrait frame. then I used some white cardstock and the Stitched Hillside Borders and die cut 3 hills. I lined the hills up according to the height that I wanted them, and then I used some washi tape on the back of them to keep them together. then I used the same frame from before and die cut out the hills! and that is how the rest of the scene comes together in a cohesive manner!

I used Distress Inks in Fossilized Amber and Vintage Photo for the hills. then I splattered some white acrylic ink, as well as the ink color on top to give it a sandy texture.
for the sky, I used Black Soot, Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina. then I used the stencil and the same colors, but with more pressure then I splattered some white ink on top to mimic night stars! 

all of the critters were attached with foam tape. and then the rest of the images were glued directly to the scene.
I heat embossed the sentiment onto Black Licorice Cardstock and then used the Fancy Wavy Banners to die cut it out.

hello and happy Wednesday!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!
the current challenge is all about only using dies and it's such a fun way to stretch my creativity!

I used the I Scream, You Scream die set from Lawn Fawn to start my card! everything was cut from white cardstock and then I added color with Distress Oxide Inks. I used Antique Linen for the ice cream (it was as close to Vanilla as I could get! lol)
then I used Saltwater Taffy for the blush!
I also used Saltwater Taffy, as well as Candied Apples, for the cherry on top. the stem uses Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn.

I used Vintage Photo, Fossilized Amber and Walnut Stain to the cones. I also used the same colors for the 'cone' sentiment. once those letters were die cut using Henry's ABCs from white cardstock, and ink blended with the colors above, I placed the letters inside the cone dies and ran it through my die cutting machine to add the stitched detail to the letters, too!

I die cut out the rest of the sentiment with black cardstock. all of the letters were popped up with foam tape.
I also added some details to the images with a white gel pen.
for the background, I used Blueprint Sketch, Peacock Feathers, Salvaged Patina and Cracked Pistachio to ink blend and add color. then I splattered on all of the colors on top, as well as some white acrylic ink.

hello and happy Monday!
today I have a card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog, and it's giving me summer rainforest vibes! lol!

so fun, right?!
I stamped and colored in the butterflies from the Monarchs stamp set. then I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.
I also die cut out some vellum and used my sewing machine to stitch the two together!

for the background, I used some dark blue cardstock. then I used the Transfer Duo gel and the Tropical Leaves stencil. once the gel was dry, I used flock in greens and teals to add texture and color! I love the bold jewel tones!

I die cut out the sentiment using the Essential Alphabet Die Set and then glued the butterflies to the background!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge - Dies Only!

let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

yay!    

a Dies Only challenge and so fun! it definitely pushes me since I'm SO used to stamping and coloring! love how this card came out!

I decided to make a PUNny and summer-y card!
I used white cardstock to die cut out the Flamingo Floatie, Stitched Wave Borders, Stitched Hillside Borders and Hammock and Trees.
then I used Distress Inks to add color to alllllllll the things! lots of ink blending!

below are the colors I used for all images:
waves: Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers, Salvaged Patina
land and palm tree bark: Vintage Photo, Fossilized Amber
palm tree leaves: Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn
sky: Mustard Seed, Squeezed Lemonade, Picked Raspberry

I used the new Draped Ribbons Stencil for the sky.
then I die cut out all of the letters for the sentiment in white cardstock with Henry's ABC's. I finished off the card by adding some chunky glitter to the bottom of all the letters.
the entire card as die cut with the Large Slimline with Sliders.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #172 - Inspired By...

let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

yay! 

this is such a fun and unique challenge! and every single person on the Lawn Fawn and Lawn Fawnatics Challenge team inspires me every day!!

for this challenge, I was inspired by Jenn Shurkus! she works magic with Distress products and I looooove her watercolor backgrounds!

I used Distress Inks to ink watercolor the background. I used Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon, Chipped Sapphire, Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina for the bottom. and for the top part, I used Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade. then I splattered some of the blues all over the other blues, as well as some white acrylic ink!

I used the same yellows as well as Picked Raspberry and Worn Lipstick on another piece of cardstock. and die cut out the letters of the sentiment with Quinn's ABCs. I also added some chunky glitter to the letters! the shine is so pretty! 

I stamped the sun and cloud images from All the Clouds and then die cut them out with the coordinating dies! I stamped the sun and cloud images from All the Clouds and then die cut them out with the coordinating dies! 
I popped up the die cut letters with foam tape, and then heat embossed the sentiment in white on top!
