Create a Smile Stamps December 2019 Release!
hello!
what a wonderful holiday week, and Create a Smile Stamps is release a Wonderful Winter kit!
it has new, exclusive patterned paper, stamps, wood veneers, dies and a stencil! whew! not to mention some new letter stickers, too! (they're my personal favorite!)
I created two projects with this ADORABLE, and beautifully colored kit!
my first project is a card!
eeeep!
I love cute, little naughty penguin!!! ha!
I used some Distress Inks in Seedless Preserves, Spun Sugar and a tiny bit of black soot over the gorgeous, diagonally-striped patterned paper! then I splattered some water, ink color and white acrylic paint on top!
I also die cut some hills from white cardstock, and used Peacock Feathers Distress Ink to add the same color to the snowy hills, as I did to the snowman! ha!
all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then fussy cut out!
I then stamped one of the tiny sentiments from Clear Small Christmas Sentiments onto a small speech bubble that was die cut using the Speech Bubbles die set! it totally cracks me up!! I image Santa yelling that from off the 'scene' lol!! ha!
my second project is a scrapbook layout!
and I looooove how it came out!
I used various papers from the kit to back the photo, and accent the side of the page. I torn the edges because it reminded me of snowy hills!
I used the stencil and some white embossing paste for the background! once it was dry, I used some grey watercolor on top of the stenciled areas for some fun color and texture, in a subtle way!
I used the letter stickers to add to the title, and the sprinkled some of the wooden star embellishments around, too! sooooo fun! love all the texture, and subtle colors!
I love how versatile this kit is - you can create so many different kinds of projects and they're all so different!
the layout is when we were in Charlotte, NC for my oldest Mann's hockey tournament! and in the bit of down time we had, we went ice skating outside at the National White Water Center! it was a blast, and so fun!
be sure to check out the Create a Smiles stamps site to grab your kit and get to creating!

magical Christmas wishes
hello!
today I'm excited to share a fun card I have up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!
I used the current challenge as my inspiration, which is a beautiful, wintry mood board!
such a sweet, little Christmas scene on this Christmas morning!
I used the sweet and serene Winter Skies stamp set for my images! that little family of polar bears and the trees were all colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut out!
I used Distress Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Black Soot to create the sky! I used the Stitched Mountain Borders dies and used Distress Inks in Shaded Lilac. then I splattered some white acrylic paint to splatter 'snow' over the whole scene!
the snowy hills were die cut out of Stitched Hillside Borders and then layered on top of each other!
I stamped the image of santa's sleigh in black and then heat embossed some clear glitter powder on top to make it sparkle!
be sure to play along with the mood board challenge and join in on the fun! :)
enjoy!

let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!
yay!
there's nothing better than the beautiful Mood Boards that Jenn Shurkus creates! and this one is winter at it's FINEST!
all of the images are from the Snow Cool stamp set! I colored them all with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut them out!
I also used the Stitched Hillside Borders Die Set to create those snowy hills!
I couldn't decide on a sentiment so I basically just combined them all! ha! I heat embossed them in white embossing powder onto a Black Licorice Cardstock, then fussy cut it all out around the phrase!
then I finished off the card with some white sequins! (aka snow!) ha!
I really can't WAIT for you to play along! you could win a $25 gift certificate to Lawn Fawn!!!!

I just love that sweet sloth!!!!
I colored the image from Slothy Christmas with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut them out with the coordinating dies!
I also die cut out a bunch of hills with the Land Borders Die Set! love those snowy hills!
the background was ink blended with Blueprint Sketch and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Inks! once it was dry, I added some white embossing paste with the Snowfall Stencil! love that texture!
then I combined the sentiment from the stamp set, to the die cut "merry" word from Holiday Greetings Die Set! I die cut out the word 5 times and then stack them all on top of each other. I also added some shading to the word to add a little extra dimension!
thanks again for joining me!
