hello and happy Sunday!
today I'm happy to be a Guest Sweetie as part of the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge blog's newest challenge! :)
hello!!! could this challenge be anymore PERFECT for Newton's Nook Designs to sponsor?! ha ha!! I couldn't WAIT to play along!
I used the new set released this month: Newton Loves Cake and paired it with a few oldies! the balloon is from Newton's Birthday Flutter (hilarious and AWESOME mini set!) and the party banner is from the very FIRST release Winged Wishes!
I colored all of the images with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut them out! and of course...rainbow! the banner just screamed for it! ha ha!
I used Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers and Blueprint Sketch to create the background, and then splattered water on it, because..I CAN'T RESIST doing it!! ha ha ha!!
so that's my card!
be sure to play along for your chance to win! I can't wait to see what you make!
enjoy!

folded heart front!
hello!
today i have this card up on the Newton's Nook blog! :)
i started by die cutting two hearts with the Darling Hearts Die from some scrap mixed media/acrylic paint paper i had on my desk! :)
then i folded the hearts together and left a little line between them when i scooted them next to each other!
the card front was stamped with the gorgeous florals from the Beautiful Blossoms stamp set, in alight grey! then i also splattered some of that ink around the image too.
inside, i placed a banner in a light grey with the sentiment from Newton's Support. I also added some florals, stamped in pink around the banner. :)
love how this card came out, it's so sweet! :)
be sure to check it out on the blog! :)

and i love it!!
i tore a piece of striped paper, attached it to the card front, added some watercolor in Distress Ink Spun Sugar and then used a stencil to add some polka dotted embossing paste!
I also stitching the whole thing on, and then added the image over the oval of the Window Die Set! i colored the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! so FUN!
my 2nd card is more me, i think! ha!
i used Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick and Mustard Seed Distress Inks, squished them onto my round acrylic block, spritzed with water and pressed it onto my card front! LOOOOOOVE! sooooo pretty!
i heat embossed the sentiment in white, and then popped up my images! LOVE that Newton with the party hat!! ha ha ha!!

for my 1st card, i decided to just use the pot of gold image!
he he he!! i just used two sheets of printer paper as 'stencils' to create the rays with the Mustard Seed Distress Ink! :)
I colored the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then heat embossed the sentiment!
I colored the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then heat embossed the sentiment!
I used my Spectrum Noir Glitter Pen and some glossy accents on the coins!
i used the full image for my 2nd card and went uber traditional!
again, I used the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color the image, and then heat embossed the sentiment, this time on black cardstock.
I created the background with Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron Distress Inks, that i watercolored. once it was dry, i splattered some Heidi Swapp gold Color Shine.

it's time for a new Inky Paws Challenge!
And just a reminder, it has moved to it's own blog!! yay!! you can find it here! :)

i used a bunch of different sets on my card, and i SUPER (ha ha!) love how it came out! oh...and I should mention that i flipped the sketch upside-down for my card! ha!
the 'cityscape' was created with images from Newton Dreams of London and Newton Dreams of New York! creating cityscapes is one of my favorite things ever! love it!
and of course the super pup is from Dress Up Doxies! i used my beloved Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color everything! and i used a square of vellum, to create the small square on the sketch! i used a star stencil and some embossing paste to add a little, subtle texture!
i heat embossed the sentiment onto a flag banner, and the pup is popped up!
