Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Hello!! I haven’t done a Hunt since March!! That is far too long! I had some things happen to me that took up much of my attention so that kept me away from Scavenger Hunt and blogging, in general. I’m back and I hope to stick around! I had fun with my photos! I did use my archives, but the farthest back is May 6th! Pretty good, I think! I also had fun playing with the editing of the photos in Picasa!

1. Travel- at the beginning of May we had a weekend getaway to Reno, Virginia City Nevada

 

2. Silly- Captain in the sand on Wednesday

 

3. Black and White- only color on the flag. taken on Memorial Day

 

 

4. Dots/Spots- large sun spot on the piñata

 

 

5. Paper- two buddies, Captain and Pickle, playing with stickers and paper.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

 

HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY!!!

I know I kept promising my Week 10 Project Life, but this week was very tiring and slow. It was a rainy week and we spent most of the days inside playing with Legos and watching TV. I promise to have Week 10 and 11 on Tuesday!!

Today we continued our tradition of putting on St. Patrick’s Day silly hats and taking photos on the lawn. Hubby was slightly embarrassed, but he took some great pictures!

An old train car we saw on the sign on the road. I had hubby make 2 U-Turns just so I could take a picture.

I took some of holiday decorations outside to take a picture. I love how this one turned out!

My amazing sister-in-law came to rescue on Wednesday when I was so tired. She even did some painting with Captain AND let him paint on her face!

Another sleepy, rainy day. I decided to wrap my son’s cast in a plastic bag and go outside! This is me looking up at the wonderful rain and enjoying the outside.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

 

Hello. I haven’t been around much this week since I have been feeling yuck and tired. Little man keeps getting early and I’m staying up too late. I need to learn my lesson and just go to bed! And right will now I am watching Grimm with hubby! We love this show and are completely hooked!

 

1. Water- holding up my water bottle on a walk this evening

2. Light- I love sun flares and any chance I can get to take pictures with a bright spot of sun I jump on it! This was at our local park on Friday.

3. Chocolate- A bowl of yummy chocolates at my friends baby shower.

4. Animal- This might be a stretch,  but this the animal bag I gave my friend at her shower.

5. Crowded- This also may be a stretch, but when I thought of crowded I immediately thought of all the trees ‘crowded’ with blossoms!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

 

Good evening!!! We just got back from a wonderful family birthday party for my Uncle. Everyone was so loving, sweet and helpful with my son being in a cast. And he was in great spirits and even put weight on his cast which scared me half to death!!! (I don’t even know if he should be doing that). My Mom also surprised him with a goodie bag full of art supplies, a new Curious George movie and chocolate crackers. It was the perfect ending to a long, slow moving day.

 

 

1. Routine

Standing over my son after I gave him his breakfast. He has been using this picnic table as his ‘central hub’ now that he has the cast.

 

 

2. Music

This is how we listen to music around here. Using the IHome I listen to all my favorite stations (toddler radio, Selena Gomez- which plays mostly oldies which I love and Johnny Cash)

 

 

3. Technology

I gathered up all our cell phones at the birthday party and snapped a picture. I also add some saturation. Do you like using saturation on your photos??

 

 

4.  Show my Your Style

This was taken on the 21st but it’s the last self portrait I could find.

 

 

5. Mismatch

My son with one shoe and one cast. Makes my heart break a little.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Good evening!! I hope everyone had a good week. My week was so-so; lots of sleepiness with my almost-3 year old who won’t stay in his big boy bed. He always winds up in our bed and loves to sleep cheek-to-cheek with me. And he wakes up at 7! Its been an adjustment with the earlier wake up times. I just hope we get to the point where he sleep all night in his bed. Any suggestions are welcomed!!

I had a lot of fun hunting for these prompts this week. I especially loved Glimpse and Bliss. We enjoyed a few walks outside which always brings good photos and changes a grumpy attitude!

1.  Crossed

Tree branches are definitely crossed. I captured a few this week with all our walks. 

2. Glimpse

lovely, blooming glimpses into spring. I love capturing the beautiful changing flowers!

3.  Handwritten

A handwritten note from Auntie Amanda to my son, Captain!! She is the best!!! 

4.  Bliss 

Not to be chessy but bliss is with my son. He is definitely challenging these days but in this moment and photo we were blissfully happy. It was a great day and we both love being outside. 

5. Gray

Might be a stretch but these are the gray undersides of my son’s cars. He kept passing them to me as he asked me the names of them. 

Another stretch but the gray sidewalk and our gray-ish shadows. I LOVE shadow pictures!!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Hello everyone!! Hope everyone had a good week!! I worked 3 days, had 2 Valentines playgroups, 1 birthday, 1 date night and 1 trip to the museum. Its been a busy week around here! This will explain why my prompts may not be the best!

 1. Love

My son and his playgroup CC having a lollipop together. So so sweet!! (and I have to confess ithat a little while after this he would run after CC and try to tackle her. this got a time out and he wouldn’t say sorry so we went home). 

 2. Duplicated

When I think duplicated I think of Pinterest and all the wonderful ideas you can make you own. This is my take on a jewelry organizer using a towel rack and the rings. 

3. Trending

Just a screen shot of the top searches for Yahoo right now. Its not what I had planned but I am going with it. 

4. Paper

My son’s Valentines for his 2 friends. 

5. Plastic

My friend’s beautifully decorated plastic water bottles and glass bottles.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Happy late night!! I just got back from a big family celebration for my Grandma’s 70th birthday!! It was a wonderful night, but exhausting keeping (aka wrangling, wrestling) my son. Whew! I am tired!! But, I had to stay up to put up my entries for this week’s prompts!! 

1.  Facial Feature 

Photographing my friend’s daughter at the park. It was her first swing ride! So precious! And she was full of giggles and happy squeals! 

2. Shadow

For some reason I look very large in my shadow, but this is one my favorite ways to capture myself in our everyday life. 

3. Spicy

Panda Express orange chicken!! The perfect combination of sweet and spicy! 

4. Gold

My Grandma’s beautiful necklace. 

5. Fabric

We spent our morning at Ikea and I just loved all these beautiful rugs!

Good morning!! I am blogging while little man watches his favorite show- Super why! And it’s a family day so it should be a great day!!

1. Strike a Pose

I told Captain to ‘strike a pose’ and this is what I got! 

2. Footwear

At the park on Monday. I looked down and snapped a picture of our shoes. 

3. Hobby

My craft room. I don’t do a lot of scrapbooking these days, but I do lots of Project Life!

4. Shiny

A few shiny stickers in our new bucket of Valentine stickers. 

5. Color Me Green

These growing plants will become gorgeous flowers in bright red, purple and pink. These flowers usually only last a week, but they are so pretty!
