5 Things

Just so you know, I also have 5 things which meant a lot to me.

#1.. Forever 21 Price Tag
Price tags might be useless for somebody but keeping this price tag will remind me to stay young forever, at least the way I think.

#2.. A Small Packet of Butter Milk Cookies from Taiwan
The taste is so nice which enough to make you fly from your first bite.

#3.. My First Pair of Canvas Shoes from Converse
It's blue and I'm not going to step on any muddy places while wearing them.

#4.. Mall Christmas Decoration
Christmas trees, colourful light bulbs, pretty ornaments, mistletoes and carol songs in the mall made this festive season even more lovey dovey.

#5.. Starbucks Christmas Member Cards
Because I love their Christmas designs very much and so I collected both.

I Enjoy Comic Blogs

People say picture conveys thousand words. I say illustrations can do the same plus they convey the message in a much cuter way! Especially cartoons and comics!

From cartoon that I used to watch when I was young such as Tom and Jerry, Cow and Chicken, Mickey Mouse and Friends, and others, I was always feeling surprised that why all these cartoon characters can be so cute! So I tried to draw the same thing on paper but failed. :(

As I grew older, I was once addicted to comics, especially those from Japan which has already made into animation shows. For instance, Crayon Shin Chan, Detective Conan and Ranma 1/2! Top three Japanese Manga I like the most during that time! LOL

Yes, I had tried to draw those characters by mimicking the style based on what has printed on the comic books but they still looked weird anyway. Till then, I can still remember that I used tracing paper to trace the characters out in order to make them looked more perfect, or nearly the same as those on comic books! Haha, this is the cheat way! :P

Then I stopped all these as I couldn't take in my failed comic character drawings anymore, not until I found out this cute comic blog! Like to read this blog so much because the blogger's avatar is so so so cute! It was so fun by reading her comics!

So by reading her blog, somehow it triggered me to draw my own avatar...
Here is it! I drew this for the Mid-Autumn Festival that had just passed not long ago. That's me holding a lighted lantern in the dark. Featuring the green stripes shirt I bought from Bangkok and the orange skirt which my sister bought for me. XD

To brush up my drawing skill, I even bought two books about techniques on how to draw cute illustrations from the book fair at KLCC!

Determined enough? LOL

I know that by reading these two books are still not enough for me to draw more nice and cute comic characters! I need some shortcuts or tips from the professionals!

Luckily, I found that Nuffnang is kind enough to provide a golden chance for those comic blog's readers or whoever enjoys reading/drawing comics to meet with Nuffnang featured comic bloggers (CheeChingy.com and Dontlikethatbro.blogspot.com)!!!

Gosh! I want to meet up with these two awesome comic bloggers at CAFFEine, on 10 Nov 2012! I want to know what's their secret behind that makes their comic characters become so cute and the comic stories are so humorous! And, I am also curious about how they looked like actually because we seldom got the chance to see their face appeared on their blog. This is a really really good chance! *laugh cheekily* no la this is joking XD

I still feel that my drawing don't have my own style, or even a very own personality. My avatar is still very normal, an ordinary female comic character. There's a big room for improvement :/

Therefore, I really wish to attend this comic bloggers gathering because I need their guidance very much. Wondering what kind of style suits my drawings better?! Hope I can learn something new from the meeting with them. :)

Internship

It's already the second week of October 2012. Almost two months away from the end of the world (rumours has it). What I have been up to recently? HOLIDAYSSSS!!! which gonna come to the end in two days time.

I saw the last post i blogged was in July, three months ago from now. So, I'm back here again! Went and back, went and back, like a never ending cycle.

Stepped in my final year of my degree course. I had an industrial attachment, a term used to replace "internship" in my university, at a book and magazine publishing company in the past three months.

I was under the marketing department of the company and there's only 4-5 persons in the team including me! Gladly to say, my direct supervisor is really a nice and helpful person! Not to forget the other colleagues in the company who always bring me joy and laughter during my internship period.

Except the lady in the room. (Let's not talk about her.)

Alright! Here's a bunch of photos of my with my lovely colleagues :)

The marketing department with messy tables.

Rachel - The coolest supervisor ever! <3 her so much

Ah Sam - My coursemate who also interned at the same company with me! Helping each other in every way  during our internship, thanks for accompany me, <3 her too T_T

Yen Yen - Her table used to located very far from ours but then was being transferred to sit with us towards the end of my internship. She was so not willing to sit in front!! We all knew the reason behind LOL!

Marilyn - Another intern under the marketing department, also the one who's the first left the team among all the interns! We were so envy her that time!

Stella - The one in the company who always discuss TVB drama series with me! Got guts and come with a very strong UK accent whenever she speak English. I feel shameful on my English now. ><

Done introducing my former colleagues from marketing team. I miss them so much!

Yvonne - She's not from our department but still spend almost every day to lunch with us! So, we are quite close also :)

Photos with another magazine team! Mei Jin (top), Yuki (Left) and Hooi Chin (Right). Worked with them during an event in KLCC!

Beside missing this bunch of cute colleagues, the other thing I missed the most is our tea break time! Tong Kei desserts have been my favorite choice of tea-time dessert during my internship, aside from other tidbits and snacks. XD

The iconic dessert from Tong Kei - Egg Tart! The butter flavor is so much nicer than the normal one!

Just some cheese cakes. XD

Japanese Curry Rice, that was my lunch on the last second day of my internship period. Then egg tarts and almonds tarts as the tea break dessert!

Coconut tart!

Onigiri! So damn nice I can say!!! Highly recommended by me!!!

That's the reason why I gained a lot of weight during my industrial training. Just eat and sit in the office, so unhealthy lifestyle!!! FAT! OMG

What I need to do is READ ALL THE MAGAZINES IN THE OFFICE!!! This was true! One of my job scope!! I can read fashion magazines for free over the past three months! I was given permission to do so LOL

Other than that, my duty was basically, just dealing with the readers, some office documents, workshops, roadshows and sometimes simple design works. Easy but quite tiring especially when I have to work in a roadshow for long hours.

Overall it was a very interesting experience as I got to know how a publishing company operate. Learnt a lot of beauty tips from reading the magazines as well as getting free beauty products hehehe!

Too bad, one important lesson I learnt from this working experience is it will never be my field of career in the future. Don't know how to describe the reason. It's just doesn't suit me. :/

Btw, if you notice it, my office only got females employees, not sure if the boss sexist or what -.-

Okay, that's all for it now. Signing off. x.

MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2012

Here's the story. I went to MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2012 happening at Sunway Lagoon Surf Beach on last night! Unexpectedly!

A big thanks to my friend Hui Yee for inviting me and Pei Wen since her course mates unable to make it to the concert.

Got my pass!

Last night was my third time been to Sunway Lagoon and I spotted a tiger on the way to the surf beach from Lagoon entrance.

Hi tiger!
Imagine if the cage was unlocked. O_o

Here's the distance between me and the stage with the crowd.

A lot of #teambieber and #teamjaypark around me. @@

So, JUSTIN BIEBER kick-started the whole show with his "Baby"! My lousy camera didn't allow me to take a full HD photos, i'm here presenting to you the best I got from my camera's SD card. :/

Spot him?

Nah, this is the super clear one. Click here to view more if you're a Belieber. LOL

This was the annoying moment when tall people standing in front of me and using their high tech gadget to take pic. Other than food and drinks were not allowed in the concert, I suggest the organizer should set a rule that prohibit any kind of tablets entering the event. -.-

KARA, the second group of performers on that night, was bringing their sexy dance songs to the stage of Malaysia for the first time!

Hmmm, their legs not that skinny and long, like that only real mar. XD

From here.

After KARA, the concert was continued by our sexy girl from Kuaaaala Lumpur, MIZZ NINA!

Proud of her for stepping on the international stage!

She's giving me a feeling of Malaysian's version of Beyonce during that night!
From here!

Found that her new song "With You" is so nice! Can't stop listening to her song tonight!

Saving the last for the best! It's finally JAY PARK's turn to be on stage!

It was funny when he said "Malaysia is hot!" while he went to a corner or backstage (can't really see him) to change clothes and then a girl who stood behind me shouting "Yes I know Malaysia is hot so take it off!!!" She's so fierce man! LOL

From here!

Ain't a kpop fan or a fan of him, but he got a song that I like very much, probably is the song's rhythm.
This one, Star.

Luckily I didn't bring my own raincoat on that day (coz I forgot where I put it), coz the organizer was going to confiscate mine if I bring it. Haha, they were so nice to provide us with the handfan that imprinted with the MTV World Stage logo and a raincoat that looked exactly like a sanitary pad. LOL.
It was an unforgettable night with all nice music! I was so glad that I didn't miss it this year! :)

Birthday on 2012

Aloha!

Last Thursday was my 21st birthday. The day that I'm afraid the most meanwhile I was looking forward to it. Dilemma. Afraid cause I'm becoming older. :(

I was officially turned into a vampire an adult on Feb 2, 2012! *fireworks*

Woohoo! Let's drink beer!
You think I drink beer? Haha, I'm kidding.

I didn't expect much on my birthday. I knew that my birthday is gonna be a typical celebration without much surprise and pressies because I didn't organize a birthday party which I could accept gifts from the guests that I've invited!!! What a lost!

Anyway, I still felt lucky and grateful coz I have a bunch of cool classmates who gave me a little surprise one day earlier than my actual birthday in the classroom.

I was talking with my friend after the class was end while the others seemed like packing their stuffs to go back. Suddenly the light in the classroom went off.

Honestly, at the moment my heart was cursing the one who switched off the light so badly. "Is that you need to be so rushing to get back home? If you're in a rush, just go and why you want to off the light?!?! Hey, there're still a lot of people in the class and I can't even pack my stuffs without the light!" Night blindness wtf.

After that I heard people singing birthday song and then I realized that they're giving me a surprise. So sorry for the cursing. T_T *tears down*

Stole some photos from my classmate, ah Lim! lol

Wishing!

Serious smiling group photo! Thank you guyss!!!

Weird posing group photo!

On my actual birthday, I wasn't in a good mood because I got a presentation in the morning. Butterflies in my stomach for whole morning! Luckily the presentation went smoothly but the Q&A session was terribly "no eye see".

Till then after lunch, another surprise!

Another photo was stolen from my "coursemate", Candy. LOL
A huge birthday card from my class's besties!!!

When I was on my way to have lunch, I passed by my car without noticing this huge thing on it! Sorry car, not that I didn't care about you but I was not observant enough.

Saw this board about two hours later when I had my lunch finished. Imagine how many people were passing my car and they saw this within the two hours! Oh gosh, it was embarrassing and touching at the same time. T_T *tears down again*

From far, it looked a love confession card board bcoz of the "爱你一万年" wordings at the bottom geli-nya! They said it is a finger shape but I saw it more like a recycle card board whereby a quarter part of it have been cut out LMAO

The back view of the card board!

Love you people!

Birthday present from the girls! Branded somemore. LOL

Thank you so much all the surprise and present! Thanks for all the wishes! Thanks to those who treat me makan! You guys definitely made my day great!

xx

My Pass Out Experience

Hey guys!

Have you ever collapsed in a faint because of illness or tiredness or over-exciting?

Well, I had experienced it before! For THREE freaking times!

My first pass out experience happened at a clinic when I was ten years old. I was having high fever and that time I was standing in front of the medicine collection counter when my mother was collecting the pills from the nurse. Out of the sudden, I felt very dizzy and tired, everything in front of me was becoming darker, then blackout.

Second pass out experience happened few years back at my house kitchen, before having my breakfast. High fever too.

Third pass out experience, it happened few days ago, on January 1st, 2012! (Oh God, why must you choose this day?) Same venue as the second one and also before having my breakfast. I woke up with sore throat and weak body. I knew something was not right with me, I suspected it's fever again. I walked to the bathroom and started to do my business, small one. Halfway of the process, my sight started to darken, my heart was beating oddly faster than usual. Correct, I was going to faint again, for the third time!

I quickly settled down my business, flushed the toilet bowl and rushed to the kitchen so that I wouldn't pass out with my pants off and lock out myself in the bathroom. It's easier for other people to save me and also guarantee no #theawkwardmoment wtf.

Here, I'm going to demonstrate how I see things when I am about to pass out.

--Demonstration starts here--

Let say, you are reading a magazine one day. You flip through a page that looked like this....
...
...
...getting excited...
...
...
...

"OMG! Tom Cruiseeeeeeeeeee!! My perfect mannnnnnnn! He's hottttttttt!!" you scream.

You scream because you are too excited when seeing this page, and screaming used up energy in your body. So, your body is lack of energy. To get more energy, you need to inhale more oxygen so that your heart can pump the oxygenated blood to your brain to keep you conscious and also to other organs/body parts to produce energy.

So, at this moment, you can feel that your heart is beating faster.

Because it happens too sudden, the oxygenated blood is unable to be sent to respective organs in a short time. Due to this problem, your brain doesn't receive enough oxygen and your body doesn't produce enough energy for you. Thus, you will feel dizzy and your body becomes weaker.

Until this stage, you are about to pass out.

Let me show you what will you see when you are in the state of becoming unconscious.

1. You see things starting to be darkened.

2. Darker.

3. Almost black.

And at last...
...
...
...
...
...

YOU SEE NOTHING!!!!
Congratulations! You are certified dead in the state of being unconscious. :/

--Demonstration ends here--

When I was fainted, I could still hear the noises from surrounding, especially my mom's voice. I heard she was shouting at something hastily but I couldn't react to what was going on. I thought I was dreaming, so I just continued my "sleep" until I realized that I was passed out.

My eyes slowly can see things, I was able to move in a very weak manner. Then I only knew that I wasn't dreaming, my mom was actually shouting my brother's name and asked him to come over and help her to move my body from kitchen to the living room.

I took a rest on the sofa until I fully gained back my consciousness, that time I was sweating. This is very normal for me because every time I'd awakened from unconscious, my body tend to sweat a lot and I can feel the sense of relief. What a good feeling!

I think my heart was back to function normally and therefore the blood started to pass around my body. Till then, my body wasn't that weak anymore. Without further ado, my parents fetched me to clinic and luckily there's still got clinic opened for business on new year!!! Thanks God.

So, I was falling sick on new year with fever and sore throat. Do you know that sore throat can cause fever? Well, it is. Doctor said that.

After this incident, my new year resolution is no longer becoming slim, rich, happy... but
I WANT A HEALTHY BODY, sickness please go away!

How about you? What's your new year resolution? :)

Although it's kinda late, but since this is my first post in 2012, here I wish everyone

***HAPPY belated NEW YEAR!!!!!!***

and also wish everyone dreams come true!!!

p/s: The demonstration above was simply a crap, if you read until this line, I want to say a big thank you to you for reading my crap! LOL
