Working from home and loving it!

Pin It Now!

My home office (a work in progress)

Happy Monday! Surprise! I didn't wait three years to update my blog again!

I've been working from home since the pandemic hit and luckily I will be working from home even after everything opens up. My company gave me the option to relocate to Houston and keep my same salary but I'm not ready to leave California yet. I don't do well in hot and humid weather! Luckily I can stay here and just work from home with the option to go into the San Jose office when needed. Most of my team is located in other states though so I don't think I will have the need to go to the officer very often!

My housemate that moved out had his own business and always worked from home so he used the 4th bedroom for his office.  After he moved out I decided to move my desk out of the living room and into my own office! Of course I had to pay more rent for that extra space but it's so worth it! I'm still in the process of decorating it and plan to buy a small loveseat or a set of comfy chairs to replace that bench under the window. I also want to add some drapery panels. For now I just put things in there that I already had with the exception of the rug, that is new.

My bedroom

I thought I would also share a pic of my bedroom.  That window faces east which brings in the glorious morning sun! I've been growing orchids and African violets and they just keep blooming continuously. I've never been able to get orchids to rebloom for me in the past! This location is perfect growing things!

I mentioned in my last post that we had to find a new roommate and I'm happy to say we did! I'm so happy we get to stay here. I'm loving it! For those of you local, I'm in the Willow Glen part of San Jose which is my favorite!

I'm not sure when my next update will be but I'll try to be better about posting every few months at least! I wonder how I did it back in the days when I would post 5 days a week for years!

So great to "see" you again, and to know you are doing so well!

Your plants may love the sunny spot, but you should probably find another place for your perfume, as sun light will cause them to degrade much more quickly.

Aw, it's so good to hear from you every once in a while. I check the blog every so often just to see if there are any updates from you. Glad you are living in a place you love; you definitely sound happier than where you were previously. I was just in San Jose visiting my family, but haven't been to Willow Glen for a while. I really should check out some of the newer restaurants there, it really is a lovely neighborhood. So nice that you can continue working from your lovely home :-)
