FEBRUARY 16, 2024 (New York, NY) -- Exactly 20 years after its initial release on May 10KEANE announce full details of their forthcoming special remastered version of Hopes and Fears, undoubtedly one of the best debut albums ever. Pre-order HERE.

The band also take to the road this year to embark on a full world tour. U.S, dates include LA’s prestigious Greek Theatre on Sept. 5th, Nashville’s fabled The Ryman Auditorium on September 15th and NYC’s legendary Radio City Music Hall on September 24th. UK and Irish dates include two huge and extremely special shows at London’s O2 Arena on May 10th and 11th.

Making up this 20th anniversary celebratory release, comes a special version of the original album remastered and cut by Frank Arkwright at Abbey Road Studios, as well as the unveiling of B-Sides, previously unreleased demos and rarities. 5.1 Dolby Atmos mixes come from David Kosten.

On the same day as the box set release, the band play the first of two London 02 Arena shows as part of a world tour that kicks off April 1st in Mexico City before reaching Europe and the UK. Their U.S. tour starts off in September at UC Berkeley’s Greek Theatre on September 4th and concludes at Washington, DC’s The Anthem. More dates are to be announced.

Keane recently took their live show to India and South Africa, playing these countries for the very first time and proving the ever-growing demand for the band worldwide. They were joined onstage in Mumbai with Anoushka Shankar to play a special version of “Everybody’s Changing” - watch here.
 
Hopes and Fears was a landmark album for Keane and has set all kinds of records in the process. It’s one of the best-selling albums in UK chart history having sold over 2.5 million in the UK in its first year, and a million in the USA propelled by their absolutely classic song “Somewhere Only We Know”. Hopes and Fears is 9x platinum in the UK, a remarkable achievement. The album has sold over 10 million copies worldwide.

Keane emerged alongside a new vanguard of bands that would change the shape of music: Snow Patrol, Scissor sisters, the Killers and Coldplay. They were the first to create a sound solely revolving around keyboards which enhanced the emotional pull of their songs. “Everybody’s Changing” from Hopes and Fears became a fan favorite and a top five hit.
 
In 2004, Keane were the biggest selling British artist in the UK. The following year they won two BRIT Awards: Best British Album for Hopes and Fears and British Breakthrough act award as voted for by Radio 1 listeners.
 
Somewhere Only We Know” has enjoyed a recent revival on Tik Tok going viral in Asia which lit the spark for a global renaissance of the track which is currently clocking up over two million Spotify streams a day, and in the past 12 months has become Island Records’ biggest selling single. In total, it has been streamed over a billion times.
 
This year’s tour will celebrate Keane’s acclaimed body of work from their imperious debut Hopes and Fears through to their 2019 studio album Cause and Effect.
 
Lead singer Tom Chaplin says; “I remember standing by that amazing old mixing desk at Heliocentric Studios where we made Hopes and Fears, listening to an early mix of ‘Somewhere Only We Know.’ I had this feeling that we’d come up with something that had an extra bit of magic. Making music is so often a process full of doubt…but on this occasion there was something undeniable about what we’d created. Clearly a lot of people felt the same when the album came out!”

Founding band member and songwriter Tim Rice-Oxley said: “When I think about these songs, I still picture us playing them in little rooms in pubs around the UK. I remember how exciting it was watching the crowds start to grow. Those songs opened the door to another dimension for us; everything that has happened in our lives since then was born out of that moment. It’s an incredible privilege for us that people are still listening after all this time.”

Cassadee Pope

Modern country music artist Cassadee Pope has just released the new music video for her latest single, "Say It First," off of her upcoming ninth album,THRIVE, exclusively with Sounds Like Nashville. The video, directed and edited by Ed Pryor, is a colorful depiction of the inner storm that matches the song's eruptive angst along with the vulnerability of its lyrics. 

“Working with Ed Pryor again was such a treat," says Pope. "We both knew we wanted this video to include weather elements and fast flashes to coincide with the inner turmoil the song talks about. I wanted to wear a beautiful dress to further illustrate the fact that vulnerability is strength.”

Sporting a mane of curly locks, a hilarious sense of humour and a lilting Irish brogue, Shiny Joe Ryan is a wonderous enigma.  Today, the Pond multi-instrumentalist releases his second studio album Shiny’s Democracy via Spinning Top RecordsShiny’s Democracy is available in digital formats as well as limited edition apple red 12” vinyl HERE.

Today, Shiny Joe also releases the video for A Stitch In Time,” Shiny Joe explains the premise for the video saying, “This song is a love song, but that didn't mean it had to have a super serious video clip. So for fun I bought a dog costume and headed to the beach with my mate Shane (who's filmed all my video clips for this album) and Chook my housemate Lizzie's dog. Chook is a 2 year old American Pointer/ Blue Heeler who we've had since he was a pup. The video is Chook and I frolicking on the beach in slow motion with some light analog video effects for fun. “

He went on to say that the song “is one of only two songs on the album that I used my original demo as the basis for recording and then overdubbed the rest at home. I got the name from a something my Mum used to say, 'a stitch in time saves nine' and I guess it's a love song at heart. I have a dinky old plastic keyboard I got as a kid that has really cool string quartet sounds on it. I used that as the base for the song and added a bit of guitar and a basic drum beat. It's a simple song but I find it very nice to listen to.”

It’s been a long, seven year wait since the release of his debut solo album The Cosmic Microwave Background in 2014. His musical offerings are as unique as he is - a mix of genres encompassing country, pop and rock, all mangled and mashed into something new, strange and tender. Joe finally found the time to record this new offering between touring as a crew member for Tame Impala and performing with Pond. He wrote and recorded this second album at Tunafish Studios with his band The Sky Dolphins in Western Australia and as well as mixing it himself along with his Pond bandmates, Jay Watson and James Ireland, it was also carefully mastered by fellow WA musical alumni, Kevin Parker

Shiny Joe explains the concept behind the prolific artwork for the single and album, “It’s a recreation of a photo I saw of Australian Prime Minister Gough Whitlam being dismissed from parliament in 1975. He's standing on the steps of parliament house surrounded by reporters. I thought it was a very striking image and represented a failure of democracy in Australia. I summoned as many friends as I could, instructed them to dress as 70s as possible and told them to meet me at the clubhouse steps of the Fremantle football oval.”

Shiny’s Democracy is an album for anyone and everyone and a sign of a musician who wants to try everything once (or twice) with no plans of slowing down. You’ll find glimpses of his contributions to his band Pond on the record but Shiny Joe definitely carves a path all of his own. Written with a perfect balance of grit, wit and expertly crafted instrumentals, this second album from Shiny Joe Ryan will place him firmly alongside the rest of the Western Australian musical mainstays and definitely marks his triumphant return from his initial solo offering back in 2014. Today, Shiny Joe Ryan is inviting you to climb aboard the Pub Boat and get your groove on!

 – iHeartMedia today announced the lineup for the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Festival, the annual legendary concert event on Friday, Sept. 17 and Saturday, Sept. 18 at Las Vegas’ hottest entertainment venue, T-Mobile Arena, and its Daytime Stage at the iHeartRadio Music Festival on Saturday, Sept. 18 at the new immersive event and entertainment district, AREA15. This year, the epic two-day lineup for the iHeartRadio Music Festival main stage will feature performances by Billie Eilish, Cheap Trick, Coldplay, Dua Lipa, Florida Georgia Line, Journey, KhalidLil Baby, Maroon 5, Nelly, Sam Hunt, Weezer and more. Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, the iHeartRadio Music Festival will once again include one-of-a-kind collaborations and surprise performances. 

 

The Daytime Stage will feature live performances from DaBaby, Olivia Rodrigo, The Kid LAROI, Saweetie, All Time Low, 24kGoldn, Russell Dickerson, Yungblud, Gabby Barrett, Tate McRae, Conan Gray and Addison Rae, with more to be announced. In addition to live performances from today’s emerging artists, the Daytime Stage will also include fan zones and interactive experiences by iHeartRadio's brand partners.

Each night, the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Festival will broadcast live for fans via iHeartMedia radio stations throughout the country across more than 150 markets. The CW Network will broadcast a two-night television special on Saturday, Oct. 2 and Sunday, Oct. 3 from 8 p.m. – 10 p.m. ET/PT. In addition, The CW will exclusively livestream both nights of the festival via The CW App and CWTV.com.
