I can't really give much of a recap on Daddy-Jacey Day, because I wasn't there. But the first thing that Will said when I asked him how it went was "It was so nice to not have to rush her, and to just be able to let her take her time and do what she wanted." Does that sound familiar?
Here's the rundown as reported to me by Jacey: First they went to Mimi's Cafe and ate a HUGE breakfast. Then they went to the park and flew Daddy's kite for a while. Then they went to see Horton Hears a Who (Will gives it 2.5 stars; Jacey liked it). Oh, and I can't forget the popcorn and drinks at the movies - Jacey was far more excited about that than the movie, I think. After the movie they went roller skating. Will said that was a waste of money -- that the skates were just too much for her to handle. But Jacey said she was getting pretty good at it, so who knows. I kind of felt bad that the skating didn't work out because it was my idea. Sorry guys. Anyway, after the skating fiasco they picked up some Cafe Rio (Jacey's favorite) and took it to a park to eat. Then they came home and Jacey had a nap, and after that they ended the day with a Jamba Juice. Phew! Just typing all of that out has made me tired.
Mommy-Londyn Day was much more low-key. I had planned on taking her to the park, but I still wasn't sure if she was still carrying around Hand Foot & Mouth, so I thought it best if we stayed away from other kids for the time being. We ran some errands, did a little shopping, and got some lunch at Paradise Bakery. (Yes, it's as good as everybody says it is.) Londyn was less-than-specific in her requests for the day, so I had to interpret. I'm pretty sure she said shopping.
I love our date days. Definitely something we're going to do as long as these girls are interested.
PS, I cut my hair. Jury's still out.

What fun parents you are. And I love the hair. Very cute. Hey, lets do something. Ty is on spring break this whole week and we do not have any major plans.
Wow! You guys fit so much into your day!! Love the hair. At first glace I didnt recognize you. Whenever I think of you I see you with your long long hair. It's official, you look great no matter what your hair length!;)
I love your hair, Cynthia. I went to church yesterday, and three girls there also chopped their hair off. It must be getting hot outside. I'm glad you guys had fun on your day dates. Your husband really did fit a lot of fun activities for Jacey in one day!
Love the haircut - so cute! And, the idea of the date days is such a good one. We'll have to implement that into this house! Hey, how do you blur the background of your pictures like that? Is it the camera or an editing trick. It's pretty cool! Post a comment on my blog and fill me in the tricks!
I LOVE the new hair!!! I love that you guys have date days with the girls too. I take Cait every once in awhile too and those days are just the best.

How fun for your girls! I love that idea of date-days! I also think your hair is very cute:)
You guys are super cute parents. I've told Tom about your date days and he is so excited to do stuff like that. And way cute hair. You've always been so adventurous with your beautiful locks and it always looks great. I need to mix mine up a bit more.
I thought the same thing as Heather (Davis) I didn't think it was you, I am so use to seeing you with long hair, but it looks AWESOME! You look great with short hair too! We try to do the dates too and hopefully it will be as good of a memory for them as it is for us! How often do you do them?
I love your hair! You look so with-it. Your mom was shocked about the "democrat thing" on Rachel's blog. She previously thought we were a good Mormon family.
Wow you look amazing, your hair looks so cute! Your family is so adorable.
I think your hair is super cute!
I am blog stalking you, oh, I mean I was blog hopping and found you! I had no idea you were such a great photographer. The talent. Hate to sound like a broken record, but I also love your hair.
