Happy Easter!

I have three Easter cards for you today!  This first one is my attempt at a Clean and Simple card.  The bunny is stamped on an Inchie square and matted with a shimmery aqua paper and the pink patterned paper from Imaginisce.  The bottom section was dry embossed using a Spellbinder's Elegence M-Bossabilities folder.  The sentiment, button and twine are from Papertrey Ink.

The Fluffles the Cat Easter basket stamp on this card is from Stampendous and was colored and airbrushed using Copic markers.  The patterned papers are from Imaginisce and the mat layers are Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles and Labels Ten.

And last, but not least, is a Pure Innocence image from My Favorite Things' Basket of Eggs set.  The patterned papers are also from Imaginisce and the image was colored and airbrushed using Copic markers.  The mat layer was cut using a Spellbinder's Decorative Labels Eight die.  This card was made using this week's sketch from Raise the Bar (Challenge 137).

Thanks for stopping by and have a Happy Easter!

Life is a Cabernet!

Happy Friday!  Today I have a birthday card that I made for a fellow wine lover who currently resides in the South of France among many picturesque wineries, so this image seemed perfect for her!  The scene image is from Stampendous and was colored and airbrushed using Copic markers.  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.  Have a wonderful weekend!

Quilt Thank You

Greetings!  Remember me??  Forgive me, for I have sinned....it has been over a month since my last blog post!  Sorry for the drought - things have been busy around here and card making and blog posting time have been limited.

Shortly before Christmas we adopted a new kitty and that kept us busy for a few weeks.  My sister-in-law made a fabulous quilt for the cats for Christmas, and you can see from the photo below that it has been well-received by our new little ball of fluff, Caicos!

Of course, a thank you card was in order for this exceptional gift, so I decided to mimic the quilt on the card.  I used several patterned papers, including BoBunny Zoology.  The Thank You sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and the sleeping kitty image is from Stampendous.

This is a perfect example of why I love card making so much - being able to customize them for the person and occasion!

Thanks for stopping by!

Life's Uncertain!

Fluffles looks about how I felt after a yummy Thanksgiving dinner yesterday! Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving, too!

This is a birthday card I made for a friend who lives by this sentiment! She has ordered dessert first when eating out to be sure she doesn't miss it! The image was colored with Copic markers and I used some Spica pens to add a little sparkle to the frosting, the candle flames and for the doodles around the edge of my image panel. The balloon has Glossy Accents on it.

The patterned paper is from BasicGrey and the ribbons are from Cosmo Cricket Earth Love (striped) and Stampin' UP! (twill). The sketch is from the OCC's November 5th SASSC39 challenge.

Enjoy your weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

S.C.U.B.A

I must admit that I haven't been on the Changito bandwagon....until now, that is! Since I am a SCUBA diver, I had to have these two stamps as soon as I saw them, and now I am forced to admit that this little Changito monkey is pretty fun to color!

For those of you who are wondering, this is actually the birthday card I made for our friend Chuck, not the one in my last post ;-) There isn't much to tell about this card - the image was colored with Copic markers and I highlighted the mask, fins, tank and fish with Spica markers. I also added some Stickles for the bubbles. In keeping with the underwater theme, I cut the sentiment layer out using wave edged scissors and layered a couple of strips of Magic Scraps' Coastal Netting under the main image.

That's about it. Hope you're having a good week! Thanks for stopping by.
