Random Roxy

I take a lot of pictures. surprise! I am sure that comes a s a shock. I have always been a picture taker ever since I was little. And now that I have kids it's even worse! rob always jokes with me that I should have my hand removed and a camera transplanted on! I document EVERYTHING....e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g. And I end up taking most pictures with my phone. it's just so handy. so I was going through my phone and found all these cute pics of Roxy and thought I'd share.

This little girl is just so fun. I love her so much! She just turned 11 months and I CAN NOT believe it. this has been the fastest year ever! I get really emotional thinking about her birthday coming up next month. how can this be that she is going to be one? oh so sad!

but she is getting so fun and more and more cute everyday. She doesn't not crawl, does not walk, and does not have any hair but I'll still keep her! She is definitely my slowest baby by far. I really wish that she would crawl because she wants to and I know she would be SO much happier if she did. oh well one day right?

Anyway enjoy some pics!

Look at that belly! no wonder she can't crawl!

I sent this pic to my dad and said I made her a new bow.
He HATES her bows and head bands I put on her!
he got a good laugh out of this one though.

grocery shopping

She's such a little ham already!

And in addition to pics I take LOTS of videos too.....

I just want ONE!

2 things that don't happen for Rob and I often... Date night and a good picture of just the 2 of us. Well last Friday night there was a chance to do both! We had our cute 15 year old neighbor come over and watch the kids for us so we could go out. (the boys LOOOOOVE her by the way) anyway before we left I asked Rob if he would take a picture with me because this is a momentous occasion and that we don't experience that often! he of course said "NO" so I begged and pleaded and he finally agreed. now I just want ONE good picture. but I know that if usually take a few snaps of the camera before we get a "good" one. and with Reven as our photographer I knew it was going to take a little more. Now the hard part. Rob does not cooperate when taking pics. every pic I have of him he is making a stupid face, or has food sticking out of his mouth or something gross like that. seriously, like EVERY picture! and this was no different. I wanted to show you just how difficult it is for us to take ONE picture. Reven was snapping a bunch I guess while I was asking Rob to just hold still and smile. and this is how it went down.....

And we went to a friends surprise party and this was a little game we played. I shouldn't be surprised, I know.

Hand stamping

I told you I was into all things crafty lately. well one of my new favs is hand stamping jewelry. I have a few sets of steel letters and numbers and have been having a lot of fun making gifts for my friends (and some for myself). Here are a few of my creations. oh and if you get one of these from me...just act surprised and that you never saw this post :)

I made this necklace for myself. if you can't read it it says
"every little thing is gonna be alright"

I'm having fun stamping these and paying with them at the store :)

I wore this one to the Twilight 4 (breaking dawn) movie :)

gift for my friend. It's her and her hubby's initials and year they got married

one of my best friends daughter got baptized and I made her this charm bracelet. each thing on here stands for something significant. and the white pearls were to remind her to stay clean and pure like the day she was baptized. I stamped CTR and then her baptism date on there too. I love how it turned out!

Same friend's kids initials...

We had a RS birthday celebration for my church. We did a service auction. I made this to auction off, I like how this one turned out too!

and this was the gift we handed out. I stamped the word CHARITY into 60 washers and glued on the 3 jewels and made a key chain out of them. They were a hit! totally worth the carpel tunnel!

I'm having a lot of fun with it. I have made more things but forgot to take pics. I am getting more and more ideas everyday. If you want one let me know :)

Thunder, lightning, and tornadoes

We get some pretty intense storms around here. and almost 100% of the time they happen in the middle of the night and scare the daylight (haha) out of my children. They all have to sleep with me in the bed and it's not too much fun. Well the other day was no exception. Except this time there was a pretty severe tornado warning. Nothing happened of course but we did a few things to get ready for it. There were no tornadoes but LOTS of thunder and lightning. My kids were up all night long and so was I. but I got some pretty cool shots so I guess it was worth it!

These were taken at 3 in the morning! Look how bright the lighting was!

Letting them watch the storm

Mom of the year

I don't know if you know this but I am going for the mom of the year award! Between, teeth being smashed back into gums, broken arms, and now this I think I have a GREAT chance!

I know there are like a million videos here. but they are pretty funny. If you don't watch we wont be friends anymore I'll understand.

Haha kidding...kinda

Jesse's Party

So I don't really do kids birthday parties. Just FYI. I always have an official 1st birthday party but after that I just kinda...slack off as a mom. I have never had invitations, I have never had a "theme" for a birthday party or anything that goes along with it. I always do SOMETHING but just not the crazy all out I'm-going-to-prove-I-love-my-kid-more-because-I've-spent-our-life-savings-on-the-birthday-party  kinda thing. I know one day I will because as my kids get older they are going to want something like that but as for now they don't really know the difference so I capitalize on that!

Well Jesse turned 4 and I wasn't really going to do much but then I felt bad so I started off by inviting two couples over that have kids his age. and then it turned into a lot of people and A LOT of fun! We had tons of food, a pinata, cake, water balloons, and of course on awesome backyard to play in! there were about 15 kids I think and only 2 were girls! haha all my Friends have boys I guess.

Jesse had a great birthday and we've made some great friends out here. plus the weather is perfect and I LOOOOOOOVE having a house!

We got our friends to try front and backflips on the tramp!

Rob taught them the "flour" game. ha! (if you don't know how to play, I'll teach you!)

money from grandma and grandpa Hogge

I love you Jesse!!
Happy birthday my big boy!
