25May10. It still feels so surreal to me that I have done this backpacking trip with J and back. Long story how it all did happen, translating from thought to plan, but we were convinced that we should go for it before we turn 26 and so we did. :)

Initial plan was to not be greedy and choose about 3 cities to visit for about a week or so.. but it turned out to be really hard to choose! The more we read, the more places we want to go! Eventually we tried to focus on where both of us really want to go, mapped out a reasonable route and tadah ended up having to stretch our plan to 6 countries.

Started our 3 weeks long adventure in Munich, Germany! Took the S-bahn for the very first time and was impressed+amazed by how an "honour system" for transport would really work? Joined the newsandemans' free walking tour (highly recommended!), walked around the lively marienplatz, saw the glockenspiel & loved the new-old building! Food-wise, we were utterly amazed with the variety of ham & cheese we get at our hotel's buffet breakfast, and had pork knuckles + beer two nights in a row for dinner. Wunderba! Enjoyed the serenity at englischer garden, had currywurst for lunch near the chinese tower before ending our day drooling over the nice cars over at the BMW gallery and visiting the olympia stadium that once hosted a world cup. Sad that we could only spend two days in Munich but alas better things to come...

It's been a month since we got back from the trip and i miss it so much already! Miss the planning, the travelling and of course the sights & scenery. It had been an amazing amazing advenure. Can't wait to go back. Will write more soon :)

normally i'm more of a bag-person, perhaps partly due to the fact that i can't survive much in high heels.. but this pair of maya wedges by acne are just to-die-for!
