Subtleties of Language

On the ride into work yesterday…

SL: Damn, I forgot my phone at home.
Me: Um, where do you work? (she works on the cellular side of the same company I work for)
SL: You can mock me.
Me: I am mocking you.
SL: On Communicator (Microsoft Office Communicator)
Me: BAHAHAHAHAHAH!
SL: (appropriate response withheld due to children in the car)

  4. Ah. Working for the same company like Almost Hubs and I do.

I requested a transfer outof the office... working together all day is just um, too much of a good thing. Yeah, that's it.

  6. You like to live dangerously, apparently. Hope your life insurance is paid up. Don't you know the rules of marriage yet? Okay here's a refresher, just in case, 'kay? Rule #1: The wife is always right. Rule #2: See Rule #1. Pretty much you can never go wrong with that in mind. Just sayin'. hehe

  9. So, SL is the one training your small cannibal to bite your eyelids, then? You should be careful, she might encourage him to move on to bigger & better things.

  11. When will you learn that you can't get away with such mocking tones when someone has popped out three children and dedicated their life to you? Silly man.
