House Mouse Birthday card

This is another card that my husband colored for me to use.   I think it's so cute...

I'm in need for some birthday cards to replenish my supply.  I thought this one would make a cute card for a birthday.

I finally managed to make some more cards...Now all I have to do is find time to post them.

Hope everyone is doing well...

And thank you for stopping by my blog today..

Yes, Another Bridge card

Yes, I'm still making Bridge cards.  I really like this fold.   The one thing I don't like about it is that It's difficult getting a good picture of the cards.  Then again It's probably me again.  I would not win any photography awards for my taking pictures.

The card was made using an image from House Mouse.  It was colored by my hubby for me.  He used 21 different colors.  I knew I wouldn't do this image justice and I wanted the card to look nice for my neighbor.  I thought the image would make a perfect card for a librarian.  She did seem to like the card, and the bridge fold.  In fact, when she came over to my house for craft night.  She started making a card using the bridge fold..

Sorry, that I have not been around too much lately.  I've been busy trying to finish up making my Christmas cards.  Every year I have this hope of getting my cards done and addressed and in the mail by Thanksgiving.  I have yet to achieve that goal.  Many times my cards have arrived AFTER Christmas.  So far, I'm doing better.  My Christmas cards are made, now I just have to address them.
Maybe...Just maybe, I will get them in the mail on time this year.

Thank you for visiting my blog

Lilac time

My last post was posting my tulip card because I found a tulip growing in my garden...

Today, my lilac bush is blooming...so I thought it was time to make a card with a lilac image
that my hubby colored for me with copics.

My image is a House Mouse image from Stampabilities  (Fragrant Shower HMTR1052)
I only added a small die cut in the corner and a stick on bead.

Twisted Sisters Challenge at Split Coast Stampers #TSC0124

I made this card for the Twisted Sisters Challenge at Split Coast Stampers.  Jan issued this challenge.  For this week the challenge is to make a card with Food!  I made my comfort food.  Hot Chocolate!  It's especially comforting this time of year with all the snow and cold weather that we have been having.  (and Yes, it snowed again today)  Sure wish I could send some of this snow to areas where they really need rain, etc.
My card was made using a rubber stamped image from House Mouse stamps, colored with copics by my husband.  I added a sentiment stamp using  a stamp from Hero Arts.  I also using a cuttlebug folder for my background (Argyle) Added a ribbon, sticker and dimensionals.

"In the sweetness of Friendship.  Let there be laughter and sharing of Pleasures."
~ Kahill Gibran

(I'd like to add much JOY too!

Kindness

I made this card for two challenges...The Queen for a day challenge at Split Coast stampers (for last week's challenge...I'm a slow card maker!) and also for this week's Twisted Sister challenge at Split Coast stampers...

First the Queen for a day challenge...QFTD167...Stacy aka "Twinshappy" at Split coast...This is Stacy's card that I chose to case...
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/2289455?&cat=500&ppuser=60960
I've been following Stacy's blog for a long time, and admiring all her lovely, creative work.  I was really happy to see her given the well deserved honor of being queen for a day.

The second challenge is Twisted Sister challenge TSC0607.  My card was supposed to have a square, rectangle, oval, and a bit of yellow.
I made a card that has a square (my card base) a rectangle, spellbinder die, and a CIRCLE, My Cheery Lynn Doily Die  (whoops!) It was supposed to an oval.  But did add the yellow.  I managed to 3 out of 4 correct.
My house mouse image was stamped with Memento ink, and colored with copics by my husband.
BG000, B0000, C1, E50, R00, W3, RV000, Y00, Y02, YR20, G21, YG17. G82, C0, BV0000, RV10.

House Mouse New Beginnings challenge

This the card I made for the "New Beginnings" Challenge at House Mouse.  At first I couldn't think of any image I had that would work for this challenge, and then I saw Tracy's card which inspired me

http://tracy-countrymouse.blogspot.com/2013/01/new-beginnings.html.  Tracy, if you are reading this...I didn't realize what a copy cat I was till after I made my card and looked at yours again,  (Of course, Your card is much nicer)    My daughter will be starting a new job, and I know she needs some encouragement right now...  the transition has and will be difficult.  I want to let her know how proud I am of her.
The Link for this House Mouse challenge can be found here

The flowers in the Pic above is a treat my husband gave me, over the weekend, I just remembered to take a pic today,  so they are starting to get a bit wilted, but I still think they are so pretty,  notice the color.  My favorite color!  No, it is not my birthday, nor is it our Anniversary.  I guess he gave the flowers to  me because he likes me...smile.
Just a quick card I made...No snow here right now, but it sure is cold!

The card reads...
May your days be filled with Joy!
and I do hope...to anyone reading this post
that your days are filled with JOY!

Blessings,
Jill

Another New Year's Card

I needed another card to send out for the New Year.  Notice my House Mouse image is NOT colored.  My hubby didn't have time to color it for me, and I'm still a bit intimidated with using copics.  smile...

Obviously, I used a House Mouse stamp for this card, and then paper pieced the hats.  I used my Pennant Parade Stampin Up punch to punch out the Banner, added stick on letters.  My Designer paper was by Stampin' Up, and I stamped my image with Rich Cocoa Memento ink.

Thank you for stopping by My blog...

Card for Teapot Tuesday

I made this card for a challenge at Split Coast Stampers...Tea Pot Tuesday,  It's one of my very favorite challenges, but this is the first card I've been able to make in a while.  This card will be going in the mail to a fellow split coast member who has cancer.  I made the card using a House Mouse image that was colored by my husband, my background paper is from Stampin' Up and I used my Lattice folder on it.  I added a flower made with one of my spellbinder dies, added a brad, pop dots, and a crocheted flower that was a gift from a friend.

House Mouse Challenge HMFMC124

This card is for the House Mouse Challenge, HMFMC124, The theme for the challenge is, Summertime fun, Anything to do with summer.
My husband colored the "Gruffies" image with copics...YG17, YG03, YG61, YG13, Y02, E99, E50, E19, E31, E40, E33, C4, B000, RV00,RV10
I did some HAND stitching around the card. For years I did cross stitch, embroidery, crewel, smocking, needlepoint, sewing, etc. I forgot how long it took to do stitching! (Maybe it's just because I am out of practice...smile...)
I added some stick on beads, and made my umbrella by paper piecing using a Dream Weaver Umbrella stencil LG737,
I am also entering this card in the Dream weaver challenge this month which is also using the "Summer" theme.
Links to these two challenges can be found on the right side of my blog.

Another House Mouse card

I originally made this card for the House Mouse Challenge HMFMC12, but I just realized that I am a day late...I missed the challenge. smile...It sounds like something I would do. This is the newest stamp that we just purchased, and I thought it would be cute for the "Let's Get Fruity Challenge.
I think I said before that One of my Motto's is... "Always a day late and a dollar short!"
That's me for sure...LOL. My husband colored the card with copics, and even made me flowers out of the cut end of straws to embellish the card. He seems to be taking this card making even more seriously all the time. (Which is alright we me!)
Rubber stamped image is from Stampabilities, and it's called Soda Fizz, HMTR1063
Colored with copics, E30, E34, RV29, G99, RV55, BV04, BVo8, Y000,R81,G21,G40, G07,YR68,

Summer Time at House Mouse...

This is for the House Mouse Challenge found here.  HMFMC121,
Here comes the sun!  Make a card for Summer...

This is a perfect summer card for me, because I like to drink lots and lots of ice tea and Lemonade during those hot summer days.  It would have also been a good card for two years ago, when we were fortunate enough to have several humming birds coming in our yard to visit our feeders.  They were so neat to watch.  But so far, this year,(and last year) sadly, we have not spotted any in our yard.

My card was made with a stamp  I purchased at a yard sale,  It's an oldie but goodie, the stamps has 1998 on it.  and it's called Sweet Treat for Two, by House Mouse Designs.

I used Stampin' Up designer paper, and added brad on the flower.  My card was colored with copics by my husband.

It's been a very busy summer so far, My husband's sister and her husband are in visiting from Arizona, and also our best friends are in visiting from California.  Trying to spend as much time as we can with them.  They are some of our favorite family and friends.  Bathroom remodel is still going on...should be finished soon.  Can't wait!

House Mouse Midway reminder

It's for their Mid week reminder

My husband colored my image for me using copics.  The stamp for this adorable House Mouse image is one of the larger stamps, so I kept the card kind of plain so the focus would be on the cute image.

House Mouse "Humor" Challenge, HMFMC119

Happy Monday!
It's Time for a House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge!  I still can't believe that I was asked to be a guest designer!  What a Happy day that was...Below is the link for this week' challenge.

http://housemouse-challenge.blogspot.com/2012/05/its-is-all-about-humor-for-challenge.html

Anyone can enter this challenge...Just make a card using Humor as your theme...

Please remember to reference the current Challenge Code: HMFMC119, when uploading your projects to any online galleries. This helps  to find your Mousey work more easily

And Yes, My image was colored by my husband, He loves to use copics, and colors most of my images for me.  He even gave me a list as to what colors he used, and at the moment I can't find that list...so I will have to add the copics colors when I find them...and if I find them..LOL

I think I do have a valid excuse for being so unorganized...at least for being even more unorganized than I usually am...smile.  I know I would not win awards for being the most organized person---
My craft room has been mostly in boxes for the last couple of weeks, while we had a contractor come and re plaster a water damaged ceiling from a leaky roof.  While we were at it we had a new floor put down, and, of course, all of the above means that I had to take everything out of the room and box it up.
Well, for those who have been following my blog, I am happy to report that my craft room is almost done.  Just needs some finishing touches.  And, so far, I have found that it does help me to be more organized.  (hopefully, I won't "junk" it up again).

Back to House Mouse.  I was so delighted to know that I had won the opportunity to be a guest designer, but I also won a gift certificate for the free stamps.  It was so difficult to choose which ones I wanted.  I asked my husband for help picking them out.  I asked him, "Which ones do you want? and he answered me by saying...."I want all of them!"  LOL.  It seemed that I had no sooner ordered my stamps and then were in my mailbox.  House Mouse had no way of knowing this, but they arrived very shortly before my birthday, so I thought they felt like a birthday present.  I am so grateful for the lovely stamps.  Which you will definitely being seeing on my blog in the near future.  My husband has already colored them.  smile.

So Sweet

This card is for the "So Sweet" challenge at House Mouse this week.  The Challenge can be found here
This week the challenge is  to make a card with something "Sweet" on it.  I chose to use Hot Cocoa for my sweet, It's something I indulge in quite often...but I'm not supposed to, so please don't tell my Doctor...smile.
My House Mouse image was colored with copics, again by my husband.  He used E25,C3, W1, C5, G99, W00, E07, E19, E0000, RV00, T2.

I used a Cheery Lynn die for my background frame (Lattice 2 die)  I colored in the squares with copics, popped my image up with pop dots, and added a Jolee spoon in the corner (and the spoon is silver not black.  Some day I will learn how to adjust the colors.  I hope so anyway...smile.

Hope everyone is having a good day...Blessings to you, Jill

PS. In case you missed it, Yesterday, I had a wonderful surprise when I logged onto the House Mouse Web site.  I won the last Challenge.  I was stunned!  (ask my husband, how excited I was...LOL) Along with my prize, I have the opportunity to be a Guest Designer.  WOW!  What an Honor!  I'm a bit nervous.  I have trouble thinking outside the box.

And right now, it's still more of a challenge these days to make cards, because I still don't have my
craft room back.  I'm still digging through packed up boxes for my supplies.

House Mouse Challenge HMFMC116

This card was truly a challenge for me, because in order to make it, I had to unpack many boxes.  I have most of my craft room packed up, and in order to do this card... I had to go searching through many of the boxes to try and find some supplies to do a card.  Wow!  Do I ever miss having my craft room!  Even if it was always an unorganized mess, it was still easier to find supplies than this was...LOL!  Hopefully, my contractor who has been promising me, for a while now, will be here soon to fix my  my damaged ceiling in my craft room, and put down my new floor.

My husband and I went to my favorite craft store on Saturday (my second time this week that I was able to go there!  Yea! While we were there, he found this House Mouse stamp, and came home and colored it right away.  How could I not try and do a card for the challenge with it?  smile.  I think House Mouse stamps are his favorite to color.

The copic colors he used are E35, V12, BV23, R00, R85, C0, C00, E40, E43, Woo, B00, R002

I  paper pieced the hats, used a cuttlebug folder to emboss part of the background.
I used October Afternoon for my designer paper, added pop dots, and a sticker, and string bow.
