Just Us Girls

I was inspired by the colors and the boots in this photo.  However I actually couldn't find a "boot" stamp, so I pulled out this old Unity stamp and used these roller skates.  The sentiment is from a new kit called "More Like a Sister".

Just Us Girls

It's color week at Just Us Girls and this week we are using MUSTARD, TURQUOISE and HOT PINK!

Here is what I did using Unity Stamps called Keep Going Away. I think this card ended up with a mixed media look in the end.  I almost made a different card but ran out of time so went with it. Check out the great "moving" sale Unity has going on all weekend long!

Here's a creation for this week's Unity Stamp of the Week:

I colored using watercolor crayons and Dylusion inks.  The background is a piece of pattern paper that I embossed with the Swiss Dots embossing folder.

Just Us Girls - Birdie Fun!

It's time for another Just Us Girls Challenge!  This week Bobbi is our hostess for word week and the word is BIRDS!  I pulled out this cute Dina Wakley bird to play with.  I created the background with Dylusions Sprays and the Tim Holtz Spatter stencil then embossed over it with Swiss Dot embossing folder.  The bird I did not color in!  I had him stamped already and add left over spray on a craft sheet so I swiped the image through the paint and this is how it "colored" the bird!  Easy, fun and super cool!

Unity Weekend Fun

Hey there!  Just wanted to pop in to share a fantastic sale going on at Unity this weekend!

Have you seen the new KOTM??  It's amazing:

I have been coloring some images last night, didn't get to finish a full card yet:

I love using Dylusions Sprays with a water pen to color images:

Here I used the sprays to color the right flowers but had ink left over on the mat.  Can't waste it!  So I took the bold flowers from the set in black and cleaned the mat up using the cardstock and got this look (Left).

Next to turn these guys into cards!

Mixed Media Mojo!

I have this month's Mixed Media Mojo project but first a SUPER FUN ANNOUNCEMENT - I have been asked to join the Unity Design Team!  OMG!  So excited!  I have LOVED and used Unity for the last 8 years when they first opened!  Love love love them!  So I'm very excited to be a part of the team!

Now let's get onto this month's Mixed Media Mojo:

How is it June already!  Well it's time for another Mixed Media Mojo challenge!  

In honor of the Queen of England's birthday this month's theme is "FIT FOR A QUEEN" with a twist of Jewels / Gems.

This is a layout in a small Dylusions Journal.  I created the background just from playing with Golden Paints:
