Panasonic Q Console System

When Nintendo and Matsushita decided to work together on the GameCube's unique drive and disks, they also agreed to allow Panasonic (a part of the Matsushita empire) to produce a GameCube, that would also play proper DVDs. Thus the Panasonic Q was born, but only released in Japan. Happily, you can now own one with the help of this Panasonic Q eBay auction. You'll be bidding on a complete, boxed system in great condition and a copy of The Tower of Druaga. Seller ships worldwide.

GameCube Metal Gear Solid Edition

The rare, shiny and beautiful Metal Gear Solid Edition of the Nintendo GameCube is one of the few reasons to actually pay much for a GameCube; the standard edition and even the Wii usually do their job just fine. Happily, Retro Treasures stalwart Boris has discovered a fantastic MGS Gamecube auction that comes in a most excellent, boxed condition. Seller ships worldwide.

The Legend of Zelda (Collector's Edition)

I am aware of the fact that Nintendo's Gamecube is neither the oldest nor the most successful console around, but it also happens to be a two generations old machine. How time flies, eh? Anyway. One of the more interesting offerings on the GC -and one that's bound to eventually become a true collector's item- is the excellent The Legend of Zelda - Collector's Edition Nintendo published in 2003 and never sold the traditional way.

The disc includes perfectly emulated versions of The Legend of Zelda and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, and graphically updated versions of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. It also features a demo of the Wind Waker and a couple of retrospective video clips. Oh, and you can grab a complete, boxed (with manual) NTSC version of the thing via this lovely The Legend of Zelda (Collectro's Edition) auction. Seller ships worldwide.

Nintendo Dolphin Dev & Debug Box

AMC DDH Nintendo Dolphin Dev & Debug BoxAMC DDH Inline Skating dev kit design doc manual gamecudeDolphin was the -slightly weird- codename Nintendo chose for the Gamecube during its development, meaning that what you see above is nothing less than a very early Gamecube development and debugging kit. And yes, you can bid on it via this AMC DDH Nintendo Dolphin Dev and Debug Box eBay auction. Seller ships -of course- worldwide.

Oh, and you might want to know that the thing comes complete with its hard drive, a controller, all necessary leads and a manual. And it's a properly working unit too. What's more, it also comes with the files of a full professionally developed game (Inline Skating) on its hard drive and the full printed version of its design doc! Here's a pretty relevant video.
