My excitement and motherly pride are high at the moment. Isaac successfully used his potty on his second AND third attempts! And I was not even even really going to seriously start potty training yet! He has taken more interest in the toilet the last few days wanting to sit on it, so I thought I'd get him his own potty to play with and touch to satisfy his curiosity a bit. You know, an initial step to help get ready for training. This morning he investigated it and sat on it before getting dressed. Then we went about our day as usual. After dinner we went upstairs to put our jammies on and I thought I'd let him sit on it again, since I was going to change his diaper anyway. He sat, stood, sat, stood, sat, stood...about 95 times looking into that potty. (He really can't hold still for more than 4 seconds.) And then I saw his face light up; he stood up (again) and I could see a little trickle coming down! I had absolutely no expectation that he would actually go, so my shock and excitement were overflowing!
Then about an hour later while we were reading books before going to bed, he told me he wanted to go to the potty. OK, why not? So we relocated the bedtime stories to the bathroom and sat and read as Isaac sat, stood, sat, stood...about 95 more times. Story time done, I walked away for a quick second to get a new diaper and when I returned, the potty was singing the "Congratulations" song and Isaac had an accomplished look on his face! Way to go Little Man!

Rachel,
Your family is adorable!!! I know the feeling of potty training, my youngest is 3 1/2 and finally decided that fighting me on the potty training issue was no longer needed. She has given me one month free of diapers before our newest Pearcy will arrive on
Jan 25th!!! Better than no time!

Hey Rachel! Contrats on the potty training. Sounda like he is doing great!
I saw your post on my blog, Thanks!
Both me and Dave take the pictures.... but I'm the fanatic. Dave bought me my camera about three years ago. Its a Canon Powershot S3IS 6.0 megapixels and 12x optial zoom. The Zoom feature is what makes my pictures look more professional I think.Hopefully one day I can do it for a living... I love taking pictures!=)David looks alot online at pictures of cars taken by professional photographers. They take alot of floor shots which make them look really cool. So when I tell him to take pictures... that pretty much what he does...if it's in the right settings or places. My camera is a bit bulky...not compact, but I'm still ok with that. So any adventures i go on... i would need something smaller. Like snowboarding... I had to use Alicia's camera for that.Anyway.... hope your doing good. oh... and my address is 2153 Tuscany way, Pleasant Grove 84062
YEAH for Isaac!!!
Oh, I hope he stays interested in it!! It is so nice not having to change diapers for 2. I've been trying to get Anna to go Potty without me lately, telling her she's a big girl and knows what to do. That was until I saw her panties last night. All I'll say is, I'm definitley still needed for pooping!
