and soo the year ends here.
i'll be over at church's watch night service for countdown
end the year with God, start the year with God=)

2008 passed at an amazing speed
i dont know if its just me or perhaps of the many deadlines to meet=P
but looking back at this year, it has truly been an emotional roller coaster ride, overcoming things i never faced before, challenges met one after another, this year has truly been one of the most eventful years of my 18-year life
2008 has been both good and bad
but the best of it all, is that I truly experienced the goodness of God this year=)

YUPS=) on monday i had a mini unity redcrossyouth bbq gathering with my juniors
thanks to king ngee for his efficient co-ordination for the cadets side=)
yups. It was nice to be among these juniors-now-friends, looking back, there's lots to look back and smile upon=)

its truly amazing how this girl, two years younger than me, the cadet that i once had to train footdrill one-to-one, sleeps during my firstaid class, skip trainings etcetc, grew with love for redcross, grew to become a leader, and has become one of the greatest friend i'm blessed with=)

they were the batch right after me, and they were the three that i was veryy close with. gossiped on the phone with, conference on the phone with, talked about anything and everything=)I was really lucky to have them=) missing was hweeyi, who couldnt join us that day. another of the lovely ladies in URCY!


didnt get to take photos of the entire group that came, but managed to take photo of the people who came and were from my batch's unit=)

hahas=) as you can see, my URCY was then overpowered with girls=)
and the unit was very small back then compared to other RCY units. But the thing that was instilled in us since the first batch of seniors - we may be small, but we are strong - and when i went back to the unit that day, i was really really glad, to see that this motto still stands=)
United, we stand. Divided, we fall.

and of course giving thanks!

finally managed to get the time to get my Christmas cards that day, and to go for some simple Christmas shopping=)
and i went to hazelnutty's place for Christmas cookie baking for our church friends=)
thanks hazel for lending her place!
hahas i soooo want to get an oven so i can really do baking at home.

this is mocca=) hazel's dog and he farted on my feet while i was standing in the kitchan. HAHAHAHAA. soooo grossss LOL=P i seriously didnt know that dogs fart too=X

but back to my point=)
i got around to phoon huat to get the moulds
and i managed to find my gingerbreadman ones! soooo cute i couldnt resist buying both the big and the small moulds

haha=) andand sweet hazel bought me gingerbreadman cookie too (before she knew that i was intending to make gingerbreadman too) hhahas. great minds think alike

have not eaten it but it shall be my Christmas breakfast =P
yups. and i got around to pack the cookies before going to Units chalet =)

hahas=) and after Christmas cookies, of course theres lots of cards to write
LOTS. that day had a mini gathering with PRCL ppl to sign the cards.
sooo many..
like some illegal gathering sitting at parkmall signing cards after cards after cards



hahas. then wrote cards for Units=)
was telling nana that writing cards for Units is like going back to graduation time, because memories come back one after another after another. Writing the cards for each one of them, I rmb those times spent with each and everyone. lol. I know i've really been distanced from them due to school stuffs and all, writing the Christmas cards really made me wish, that we're all still back in unity=)
days of great love. really=)
have another stack of cards waiting to be written to friends, shall start writing them soon=)

writing Christmas cards really always makes me feel sooo blessed
because then i remembered how each of them has been a clessing to me=)
and reading Christmas cards always makes me smile
because the thoughts really count=)

and Units chalet was a blast too=) even though i went for only a day kinda of thing
like huix said, Units chalet always make the year seem like a very good year.. kinda like wrapping up the year beautifully.
andandand, its like watching the guys grow=)
HAHA, im saying this again after a few years =P its like 小弟弟长大了！
=)but its really "awwww" how the guys take care of us and stuff.
not taken for granted alright guys=) we girls really really appreciate them=)

yups and sooo talking about chalet (this is going to be a longg entry)

its just a snail me mich nana saw outside the chalet. so small and cute.

it was funny how all of us sat in front of the TV watching "xiao niang re", including all the guys. whole group of us sitting in front of the TV and eyes glued to it. attempted to take group photos=) waiting for the photos to be passed arnd.
played games, funny ones. laughed like crazyyy
and i think the highlight was of course, the Night Cycling!

butbutbut it was raining throughout the night
so we ended up just cycling in the rain anyway
hahas. but we attempted to wait for the rain to stop=)
where in the meantime, photosphotos!
we were all getting excited with the light sticks and all, look at the lightsticks on the bikes! =)






went to the shelter and all of us were kinda bored, so i started taking photos again=)

haha=)so then by the time we came back we were all drenched and cold and unglam

but satified=)a sense of achievement
now we can really say that units have been through the winds and rains, literally!
i love night cycling, i wanna do it again!

so yups! Christmas's in a few hours time
i've gotta go write my cards, sooo
