sat's Care and Share day was a success=)
all the elderly seemed to have enjoyed themselves and everything managed to go on well. yay! hahas =)
spent monday and tuesday helping out at HQ for the China Earthquake and Myanmar Cyclone thingy.
i really enjoyed the time there collecting donations, answering calls at the call centre, and sorting out stuffs in the finance.
really touched by the kind thoughts of singaporeans who came forward with large donations=)
hahas. alot of funny and entertaining things happened too=)
and i had such a hard time trying to communicate in chinese XP
andandand, what was reaaalllyy sweet was this

two cards made by some primary 6 students from compassvale primary=)
so sweet right=D
im sure it was a great encouragement to all those volunteers who have been down at hq since the myanmar cyclone happened.

yups. and today, i implemented my first lesson for my attachment.
for now, my centre is quite badly affected by the hand foot mouth disease =X
and im really keeping my fingers crossed that the centre doesnt close down
or else, my projects all die liao XP
yups.. first lesson was rather scary.. but it was successful=)
it was really funny to see the amazed look on the children's faces when they do their art pieces
2 more art, 3 more music and movement and 1 maths lessons to clear

she did this video by herself.. im actually impressed by her patience in drawing out all the pictures using paint..

i couldnt help it, but closed my eyes
(cus my contact lenses was really dry XP)
as i closed my eyes and walked on..
i felt an emptiness within all of a sudden..

i miss walking back, with you beside me.
with my eyes closed and believing.

how long can you keep your eyes closed?
how much do you trust that the someone will protect you and to catch you if you fall?

the thought of you.
made me remember how much i miss you.
i still and i hate it.

i'm feeling sick.
despite sleeping early almost everyday, i still feel so tired and i have no idea why.

this week has been a rush..
rushing to do my lesson plans and school work
SO MANY LESSONS PLANS TO DO=(
and the fact that we have to carry out these lesson
it's like woah~ lol

and RedCross event is tmr,
Care & Share Day
i spent everyday practically stressing over the programme, logistics and liaising stuffs.
in fact, it was only today when we finally managed to confirm everything.
and tmr's the event.
for 80 elderly=)
im really keeping my fingers crossed that everything will turn out to be fine
and the event would be a success=)

that day while i was dying from school and redcross load,
julie asked me what is it that makes me want to do all these things..
and it really got me thinking.
i mean, i havent really thought of this before, i just enjoy doing what i am doing now with those fellow redcross volunteers..
people who share the same passion as me,
the passion of serving and caring
and the fact that these volunteers has been serving for many many years wthout fail, it really touches me.
so i guess, if i could do something to brighten up the day for many many less fortunate people,
i really don't mind the sometimes really stressful process
because their smiles always make it all worth it=)

andandand,i got to help out for the myanmar and china relief efforts=)
although it's only helping out at headquarters for a day
but i was hoping that i could do something
so lucky for me, patricia asked me to help out in HQ on monday, which happens to be holiday=) so yah=) im glad i can go down to do a little something. yay!

okay. enough of redcross stuffs.
yah.. this week, i managed to amaze a few other childcare children when i spoke in chinese=)
"WAH. teacher melisa can speak chinese"
T.T it's cute in a way, but super irritating in a way too

and today when i went down for OT for 4 hours,
this nursery girl who refuses to take her nap started talking to me in malay while i sat beside her.
tried explaining to her that im a chinese and i have absolutely no idea what she was talking about (except the occasional "satu" "bukak" "tutup"), but i gave up in the end and let her continue to talk to me in malay.
and i have this china teacher who tried veeryyy hard to talk to me in English.. LOL and finally decided to tell her "老师，我是华人" =)

on monday went down with aaron after sch to support baoxiang, kenn and han at their rugby finals
they were awesome! really=)
hahas. then the ex-unity ppl gathered to take this photo=)
and it made me realised that we've graduated for almost two years!
time really flies.

anw, next week's e-learning week=)
i'll finally be able to take a little break.
i really need to start concentrating XP

i so love weekends because then i can wake up late on saturdays=)
the week has been a rush

in the blink of an eye, it's May.

lol. on a random note,
my darling lappy which has been really nice to me for the passed one year seems to be giving me quite a bit of probliem recently

BLUE SCREEN *screams*
i so hate the appearance of the blue screen..
cause it means that my lappy is at the danger of crashing and i need to get it reformatted.
BUT, i really don't like reformatting T.T
the process is so irritating.. and being an IT noob, i sucks at what C drive D drive transfer documents which nice macy julie and jessica have been trying to explain to me.LOL
but i just *sobsobs* no time and no intellectual skills to understand what i must do
XP
and i dun want to sit at the helpdesk for 4 hours according to quek, to wait for the softwares to load back in =(

on a happier note, i met up with meiwan that day=D

another childhood friend of mine=)
it's always nice catching up with her and reviving our primary sch days a little
HAHA. all those random memories that we rmb..
i think i walked around primary sch with two stamps sticking to my eyes. LOL =)
rmb how ppl used to mistake us as twins in primary school days. LOL.. how we used to be able to read each other and complete each other's sentences. and talking that day made me realised that we still kept saying the same things too. LOL

child1: wow.. do you know how to read the words?
me: yup i can
child1: WAH.. then you can understand what the laoshi was teaching just now?
me: yup. can (me getting blur)
child1: can you talk chinese?
me: of course i can (????)
child1 to child2: WAHHH teacher melisa know so many language leh!!
me: huh?
child1: teacher melisa know chinese english and then she malay you know
me: T.T *sobsob* teacher melisa is a chinese not a malay
child1: wahh.. u look like malay but is a chinese....

lol. ever since primary school, i have this problem of getting mistaken of being a malay, resulting in many funny incidents.. lol.. and i kinda got immune to it already. bt it's irritating sometimes. LOL. though it's funny to see ppl's confused faces when i start talking in chinese=D
HMM maybe i should start teaching chinese tuition and amaze more ppl=D
somemore shouldnt let my higher chinese go into waste.. lol.. ok.. i shall consider=)

i realised.

how i've always wondered..
why must you try so hard and hurt yourself so badly just because of one ball.
i could never understand.

today i watched.
from where i was, just watching you play.
and i watched as tears rolled down your face...
i felt tears in my eyes...
i finally realised.
i now understand.

i wanted to be there for you.
i wanted to tell you how proud i was for you.
because in my eyes, i saw your victory.
