The Dog Days of Summer

Hello, Friends!  The Dog Days of Summer are upon us, and my mind is turning toward the beach!  Let's grab our beach umbrellas and suntan lotion and dip our toes in the surf today!  What do you say?  This 6x6 easel style folio reminds me of taking our kids to the beach when they were small.  We had such fun family times there!

Coral and Aqua are a classic summer color palette.  And Coral Rose Checkerboard Satin Ribbon ties the most beautiful bows!  Double bow clusters in both corners of the card mean double the fun! Decorate the little tags with a bit of Moonstone Swiss Dots Grosgrain Ribbon

The interior of the folio has lots and lots of room for photos, journaling and writing down important dates.  There's even a hidden pocket with a pull out folio for larger photos.

If you'd like to learn how to make this sweet little folio, please enjoy this video tutorial.

I hope you get to wiggle your toes in the sand soon!

Cheerio,
kathy

Pretty Kanzashi Hair Clip

Hello there ribbon lovers.  Bonnie here again today and I'm sharing another fun Kanzashi creation using ribbon and accessories from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

This would be great as a hair accessory for an adult by adding a French Clip or other clip of your choice.  It would also make a nice pin for a jacket or bag by adding a Pin Back.

I added a pretty gingham Covered Button from Really Reasonable Ribbon to the center of the flower to finish it off.

This Kanzashi Creation was made with all 1-1/2" Solid Grosgrain Ribbons and 1-1/2" Gingham Ribbon using the petal variations in the videos below.  While it looks very large in the photo, it only measures a little more than 3" at the widest point.  It's the perfect size for an understated hair clip.

A Moment in Time Birthday Greeting Card with Video

For our RRR February Blog, please scroll down or click HERE.

Hey there and happy Wednesday! Ginny here to share a Birthday card with gorgeous ribbon from  Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Mixing plaids and gingham? Don't mind if I do.
Adding spiral stamens really bulks up a flower arrangement and a loopy string bow fills it in.
More flowers is always the right answer.
I've added a die cut banner with metal clip for the front of this card and finished the inside with coordinating paper patterns.

Please enjoy this video tutorial on how I created this card.....

Chevron Woven Ribbon Headband Tutorial

Hi everyone. Today I'm doing Throwback Thursday and sharing a video I did several years ago.  I still love these Woven Ribbon Headbands and I wanted to re-share.

The headbands below were made with 1/2" or 3/4" White Plastic Headbands and 3/8" Grosgrain Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  You could easily substitute 3/8" Satin Ribbon or any other opaque 3/8" ribbon.

This is the headband color combination I will demonstrate in the video below.

This is done on a 3/4" White Plastic Headband.

Fun pattern, right?

In case you missed the ribbon measurements, you will need two ribbons in contrasting colors.  For a 1/2" headband, cut two 30" pieces of each color.  For a 3/4" headband, make the lengths about 38" long.

I hope you'll try this new weaving pattern.  You'll find it's very easy to do.

DIY Kanzashi Ribbon Flower Tutorial - Layered Petal Variation

Hi friends.  Bonnie here today with another pretty Kanzashi hair clip that would be perfect for autumn.  I used a new folding technique for the layered petals and I have shared a new video below.  You can easily create similar hair clips using supplies from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
This type of Kanzashi hair clip is perfect for adults, so why not make one for yourself!

No need for lots of supplies to make this pretty hair accessory.  These clips were created with 1-1/2" Grosgrain Ribbon, one 80 mm French Clip, a 12mm Mixed Chevron Glass Cabachon for the autumn themed clip and a 12mm Silver Glitter Stardust Rhinestone for the pink clip.  I also used scissors, a hot glue gun, tweezers, and a lighter which you likely already have on hand.   I have included a video tutorial below showing me creating this Kanzashi hair clip.

Zutter Bow-it-All V3.0 Video Tutorial - Basic Double-Loop Bow

Hi friends.  Today I am sharing a new Basic Double-Loop bow video tutorial made on the Zutter Bow-it-All V3.0.  This is a bow that can be used for just about any project and it's a great one to learn.  The beautiful ribbon and the Bow-it-All V3.0 can be found at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I love this bow and use it quite a often because it's a bit subdued, but it still looks great while not overpowering the other details on the card.  The wonderful sentiment came from Inspired by Stamping and the dies are all from Cheery Lynn designs.

My bow was made with 5/8" Royal Blue Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon which is not only one of my favorite ribbon styles, but inexpensive as well.  This ribbon is available in over 30 colors!
Here is a close-up of this wonderful bow.  See how great the center pleats on this bow look?

Burlap like you have never seen it before! By Jenn Cochran

Hi everyone!  Hope you all are ready for a super crafty week.  Today I have a fun card using Really Reasonable Ribbon's Burlap String to accent my bubble background card.
I have used the Burlap String in orange.  I wrapped it several times around the middle of the card.  Then I used the Bow It All 2.0 to create a multi-loop bow.  I love how the orange popped off the turquoise background.

Here is my Tell All Video on how to create a bubble background with alcohol markers.

Thank you so much for looking and visiting the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog.  Don't forget to join in on our current challenge: black and white plus one additional color or you can also use and image.

Birthday Shaker by Jenn Cochran

Hi Really Reasonable Ribbon friends and fans.  Today I have a fun tutorial on how to make a shaker card using your intricate dies.  Most shakers have a "wall" of foam tape that creates a space between the clear layer and the back cardstock.  This tutorial shows how to create a shaker without any foam tape or foam layer.  I have used Really Reasonable Ribbons Delicate Stitched Satin in Royal.

Here is my Tell All Video.  Hope you like it.

Don't you just love the look of the Delicate Stitched Satin.  I have tied a double looped bow using the Bow It All V2.0.  You can buy it at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  It makes tying  a variety sized bows a cinch.

Thank you for joining me today!  Hope you will try this fun shaker card.  Remember you can you any die cut that has a bunch of openings so you can see the glitter!
