It's Almost Halloween ....

It's only 3 days until Halloween and everything is set for trick-or-treaters around the house.  Today I am sharing a frame that I picked up at my local craft store and painted and stamped.  Of course the best part is the pretty ribbons that I used from the Really Reasonable Ribbon store.
I wanted to do this really simple and easy so I just sanded and painted the unfinished frame in orange and then used black ink to stamp the cobwebs all over it.  I am hoping to get a good photo this Halloween to put into it, but meanwhile I made this cute little photo collage with some papers and tags that I had from Crafty Secrets.  It went super cute with the ribbons that I used.
Most of the ribbons are from the September Ribbon club assortment but you can still get them online in the Halloween section of the ribbons here.  It's always good to have lots of pretty ribbons on hand for things and since Thanksgiving is coming up too the oranges and other gorgeous colors will work great for that one.  So many fun craft projects to make and so little time, right?

Thank you for stopping over and sadly today is my last post for a little while.  I am taking a short break but hopefully will be back after Easter.... Thank you so much for all the kind words you post for our hops and everything else that we all do to inspire you with these amazing ribbons.  The Really Reasonable Ribbon family is one amazing group of ladies and I have been blessed to be a part of it for so long :)  Happy Crafting everyone... Fall is Time to be Thankful...

With fall finally getting here it's always time to be Thankful for everything in our lives.  Today I am doing a quick share with a card and little goodie box I did with some gorgeous fall ribbons and Graphic 45 papers.
For my projects I chose some of the "Seam Binding Ribbon" in burnt rust and "Tuftan Brown Satin", "Brown Plaid" and my new favorite 3/8" inch lace called "Gabrielle" in ivory. The papers are a mixture of Graphic 45 papers I had in my stash but most of it starts with the cut outs for the Calendar pages.
I really love how this one came out.  The colors are so rich and pretty and the ribbon reminds me of the color of pumpkin pies so it was perfect to use.
For my box I used a Scor-pal and created a pizza box that the top post card tag would fit onto.  It's fun to make custom boxes and you can fill them with lots of fun surprises for the person you are giving it to.  For this I also used the seam binding ribbon and that pretty little lace I was telling you about.
Lastly I made up some quick tags to go on some kraft bags I have to fill with goodies to give.  The prints are so pretty and the ribbons go perfect with Graphic 45 papers.

Thanks so much for stopping over and have a really great day!!

Spooky Halloween card

It's Sunday and almost the end of the month and that means it's getting closer to Halloween time around the globe.  This month our amazing "Halloween Ribbon Club Assortment" has been so much fun to use and is perfect for all those fun little projects that you are going to do to dress up the house.  Today I have a few today to share with you.
My first project is a card I did using a spider web embossing folder, Penny Black Stamp, We R Black Widow 6x6 papers and my favorite check ribbon ever from the Ribbon Club Assortment.  I also used just a bit of this neat "black webbing ribbon" that looks like Spider webs and is great for little things.
And of course I had to come up with a new air freshener wrap and this time I used some spider web paper from K & Company and then decorated it with the black webbing and some purple nite seam binding ribbon and a cute bow with the "satin swiss mini dot apple green ribbon".  I so love all these colors together.

I also thought it would be fun to make some post it wraps to give.  For these I just cut paper strips and layered them and then used a Spellbinders die to cut a fun edge on them.  To finish it I added a velcro tab to close it and a pretty sheer orange satin ribbon bow on the top.  They are fun and festive and it's always fun to give a little something to friends and co workers.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend... Teresa

Fall Swag for your Mantle

Hi Everyone and welcome to the RRR blog today.  I am getting in the mood to decorate for fall so I decided to gather up some fall foliage branches and make up a new swag for my mantle this year.

This was super easy to make and all I needed was the pieces to go on both ends, a sunflower for the center, some wire and wire cutters.  One of my favorite ribbons in the store is under the "Natural Fibers" called "Faux Burlap with a wire edge".  It comes in 5 yummy colors and works so good for all those projects that you need a really gorgeous bow on to make it pop.

The color I chose for mine is "Wired Faux Burlap in Olive".  I made 2 double bows for both sides of the sunflower to frame it and then bent the ribbons just a little bit.  The bows I attached with wire into the base and that was all.  It's ready to hang up on the mantle and maybe I will have to do a couple of candle holders to match...that would be so pretty.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day,

Today I am sharing a quick note board that I made with ribbons from the "Monthly Ribbon Club" and some cute snoopy stickers that I had in my stash.  The board is a heavy weight chalkboard that I found on sale at my local craft store and I added the black clothespin on the side to hold the chalk.  For the bottom I glued on 2 pieces of ribbon and the made a cute bow to decorate the top so that it all matched.  Love these ribbons---they just look so pretty together.

So that's it for today..... something quick and easy to give your house that fun holiday feel and add to what ever else you have to put up.  Be sure and check back again for lots more ideas this month.

Fall Gift Bag and Card Set

Hi Crafty RRR fans, it's Teresa here today to share an idea for a quick gift bag and card to give filled with maybe some yummy homemade jam and cookies for this fall.  I was thinking if you wanted to share some of those homemade goodies with the neighbors, this would be a fun bag to send them over in and of course it has gorgeous ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon to make it that much more extra special too.
For my project I used papers from Basic Grey's Vivienne, Herbs and Honey papers and Picadilly stickers. I loved the rich fall country colors of these and they all worked really well together.  And for my ribbons I used some "Sheer Ombre Ribbon" and a little bit of "Crochet Lace" for the top.  On the mini card I used "cream seam binding ribbon".
Here is a quick closeup of the sheer ombre ribbon.  It's really gorgeous and comes in so many colors and would be really pretty on so many projects.  I hope you like it too.  Thanks so much for stopping over today and have a really great Thursday making something fun :)

Red, White and Blue Card to Share

Hi everyone and happy Wednesday to all of you.  It's almost the end of the month and time for that big Memorial Day Celebration that starts the beginning of summer for all of us.  So today I stayed in the Patriotic theme and created a card to send to a friend of mine.  I layered lots of dies under the sentiment and used lots of pretty ribbons.

For my card I used the royal blue gingham check ribbon and the red jute string and tied a cute bow on the side.  It's bright and cheerful and I love how easy it is to create bows with.

The dies I used are all from Spellbinders.  It's fun to mix and match
what you have to create something new and fun to make.

Thanks for stopping over and have a really wonderful day.

Home and Family are Best

Hi Really Reasonable Ribbon fans and happy Monday to all of you.  Today i have a fun project that I pulled from my stash of goodies to use and decorate my new craft room.  It's a pretty clear paint can that I can fill with flowers or buttons or anything else I need to get organized.  How fun is that to do!

For my project I purchased the clear paint can and covered it with the paper and added a strip of lace on the top to finish the edge.

For the top of the can I cut a small circle of the matching paper to fit inside the lid and then I used this doily that I found and inked around the edges just a little bit and added a kraft flower in the center.  The ribbon I created with scarlet shimmer satin and tied on some blue/gold plaid ribbon and just a bit of ivory burlap string to make a really pretty bow.

And I had lots of bits of paper so I also created this little mini cards that measure 3x3 inches and used a few of my favorite Spellbinders dies to fill the centers up with.  Super easy and super fun to make.
The stamp is from Penny Black and the jute string you can find here in lots of other fun colors.

So that is all for today from me and thanks so much for stopping over.  Don't forget to check out
our new challenge for this month and a chance to win some gorgeous ribbons for you too!

Have a wonderful and crafty day,
Teresa

Life is a Journey Wall Hanging

Hi everyone, it's Teresa here today to share a simple and fun project to decorate your house with.
Like all fun projects that we do, I started out shopping a couple of weeks ago at my local hobby store and spied this cute wooden birdhouse wall hanging to paint and loved it at first sight.  My theme this month for my projects is houses, so this cute little house to decorate mine with was perfect to paint up and add some pretty ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon store.

To get started on any wood project be sure you sand it good and seal it with a clear coat first to seal it.  Then you can paint each of the colored areas and sand the edges if you want it to be a little more rustic like I did.  (The paints I used are Americana from Deco Arts) The edges I just inked with Gingerbread chalk ink just a tiny bit to soften them and then I glued on this cute wooden sentiment from Heidi Swapp.

To make all those cute bubbles, I used a circle stencil from Prima and sprayed clear Goosebumps from Imagine/Tsukineko over all of it quickly and this is how it came out.  I love it--- and it was super easy to do.  Then I sprayed it with a clear mat varnish to seal it.

To finish my birdhouse I tied up some Wired Edged Burlap in Natural and a small bow of
Seam Binding Ribbon.  I also used some Jute String in both red and white and glued it all on the corner of the birdhouse.

So....Thanks for stopping over today and I hope you get a chance to get some paint out and have fun doing some cute things to decorate your house too.  Have a wonderful week!!

Your my cup of Tea Gift Box Set

Welcome everyone to the RRR Blog today.  It's Teresa here and i am sharing a little tea gift card set that i did with some of the Satin with Gross grain ribbon in coral and Burlap string. My base and inspiration for this was a new stamp from Penny Black called April in Paris with lots of roses and an eiffel tower so i thought of tea and a fun card set to give away.

To make this i started with a clear acetate box that i had in my stash and i created a belly band to wrap around it with Spellbinders Belly Bands Two.  Then i cut and embossed a red patterned piece of paper with Spellbinders Curved matting basics for both the back and then another in ivory to stamp on.  I stamped the image in black Tsukineko Versafine ink and embossed it so that it would pop more with clear embossing powder from Stampendous.  The Your my sweet cup of tea stamp is from Taylored Expressions and i stamped that in Tsukineko Versafine ink in Crimson red to match.

To color my image i used Copic markers and tried to shade the roses so that they too would stand out.  The beautiful satin gross grain ribbon bow was the perfect touch for the side to finish it.

And inside of my card i made a cute pocket with another of my favorite SB dies.  It has a really pretty cut out design that makes a perfect pocket to tuck in a few tea packets and maybe a gift card to go to the local tea shop for treats one day.

Thanks so much for stopping by and i hope that you like it and get inspired to make one.  Mother's Day is right around the corner and this might be great to do for the special Moms or Mums in your life. Have a very, very nice day!

The Perfect Friend

Hi everyone and welcome to the RRR Blog today.  It's Teresa here and I am sharing a friend card today that I did with one of my favorite Spellbinder dies, paper and ribbons.

I really had to think about this one because there was so much design in the paper, but I think it worked out pretty good and I am really happy with it.  I used Graphic 45 papers on it for the base and the beige patterned paper I cut out with the Spellbinder die.  Layering it over the print gave it a really interesting pattern and yet the pattern of the die still stands out.  Then I layered on a black Spellbinder Labels One decorative die and the matching smaller piece to stamp my sentiment in.  The stamp is from Penny Black's chalkboard set and to make it stand out even more, I embossed it with clear powder to darken up the black in the words.  Sometimes just that one little trick can really make your card pop.

And...Here is a quick close up of the card so you can see all the pretty patterns and the seam binding ribbon in log brown that I used for the bows.  Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by today :)

Repurpose a Fun Frame with Ribbons

Hi everyone, it's Teresa here for with a quick post for this month to repurpose a cute frame that I got at Michaels recently.  I found this beautiful Wired Woven Check Ribbon  on the website and new I needed to try it and I had to do something fun with it. So I gathered up some things I had in my stash and had fun playing.

The frame was already painted and distressed so I thought it would be fun to add some buttons all around the edges of the frame and then finish it with a really pretty bow made with the wired ribbon
and some seam binding ribbon that I misted and scrunched in the center of it.

It's simple and easy and now I can find a cute picture of my family to put inside.

Thanks so much for stopping by today :)

Ribbons and Roses

Hi everyone.  Teresa here again on this amazing Wednesday.  I have a quick and easy card to share with all of you today that I did with some  6x6 papers by Teresa Collins (Save the Date) and my favorite Seam Binding Ribbon.  Since spring is just around the corner I picked lots of soft pastels and a simple super tiny black dot to set it off with.

For my card I cut a 5x5 inch piece of white cardstock to make the base and then layered smaller pieces of the printed cardstock and put 3D Foam dots between them.  For the top layer I used a new Spellbinders die from the Laced with Love collection called Blooming Collection.  I used the outer piece for the frame in white and the inner circle.  For the sentiment I used an adhesive sticker from SRM that says You're Special to me, and it fit perfectly.  To finish my card I added a pretty seam binding bow in Rose Petal and added a few roses and tulle too.  It went together really quick and now it's all ready to give to someone.

Thanks for stopping over to see what's new on the blog.

Robots and Ribbons

Today I have a really fun post to share for all of you that have little boys and would love to throw them a special birthday party with a Robot theme.  There is a new stamp set out from Stampendous and it's called Screwloose.  The set is absolutely adorable and I kind of went crazy with it and the ribbon and twine that I used for it :) I made a card or invite... two treat holders and a name tag but  you can do lots more with it.  Maybe a banner, party hats and napkin rings or even games like pin the bolts to the robot.  It would be so fun I think with the stamps and ribbons and things.

Here is my card and pillow box treat holder.  For all my projects, I used the burlap red string and the chevron striped twill ribbon in aqua.  Both of these really set off the matching Copic markers that I used to color the robots and the puppy with.  I also used one of my favorite dies for this from Spellbinders called Sprightly Sprockets and Modern Stationery.  They worked perfect with the stamp set.

Here is a quick closeup of the card by itself.

I also made a name tag for each of the guests and a fun thank you treat card for each of them too.  It has the same theme and colors and I used the same ribbon for it.  Isn't it just so cute?

And lastly here is the name tag.  You can see here that I used a chicken wire stencil with some silver ink from Tsukineko and embossing powder from Stampendous.  This gave it a fun metal feel to it.
You can also order some of the silver metallic ribbons and twines and that would be fun to add in to this for other parts of your party decorations.

Here is a list of all the things that I used for my projects:
Burlap String Ribbon
Chevron Striped Twill Ribbon
Stampendous Screwloose & Sparky Stamp set, silver embossing powder
Crafters Wrokshop Mini chicken wire stencil
Copic pens C0, N2, R35, B02
Tsukineko: Versamark, Versafine in black and Brillance Platinum Planet
Scissors, Black, Aqua, and silver paper

So that's all for today and thank you for stopping over.... if you have any questions be sure and leave a message and I would be happy to answer :)

Take note....

Hello everyone and thank you for stopping over today... i just have a quick and easy project to share today using some of my new favorite satin ribbons.  I have started collecting lots and lots of colors in this style and it is perfect to use for both cards and off the page projects, I really like it alot.

I wanted to make something fun to write notes on so i came up with this quick idea to use a metal chalkboard sign that i got at my local craft store.  I added some white chipboard pieces i had in my stash to both the top and bottom with adhesive first. Then i wanted to glitz it up so i also added just a bit of bling with clear rhinestones to go with the pink satin ribbons. The ribbon i used is called Satin w/Grosgrain Edge Ribbon.  It's super elegant and has a tiny bit of stitching running down each of the sides.  And the best part is it comes in so many gorgeous colors to use.

For my project i used the Pearl Pink and then added a few WOC Flowers to finish it.
It's simple and a fun project you could do with a family member to make for her room
for important reminders.  So that's it for today and thanks again for stopping over!

Chipboard Calendar to Share

Hi everyone, it's Teresa here to share a calendar with you that I made with some chipboard, paper, an embossing folder and ink and some of my favorite ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I made one of these a long time ago and have it sitting on my desk and thought that it would be fun to mix the purples and greens from our theme this month to create another one.

To make one for your self you will need some heavier chipboard to cover, embossing folder, calendar, ribbons and flowers, chain and a charm or two to decorate it.  The inks are from Deco Art's new Media line from Andy Skinner.  I am having a lot of fun with this line and you should check it out.  There is so much that you can do with it.

Directions:

1. To start you will cut the chipboard to 4 1/2 x 7 inches.  Then cut 4 pieces of paper for the inside
and outside the same size.  Run the outside front in the embossing folder and using different inks and glazes to get a fun finish.
2. Then use a good adhesive to adhere it to the chipboard.  Let it dry and then punch 2 holes on both pieces at the top with a crop-a-dile.
3. Cut 2 pieces of the Seam Binding ribbon in purples and thread through the holes that you made to tie them together and then tie a cute bow.  Spritz with water and scrunch them if desired.
4. To make the chain simple use pliers and wire cutters to attach the 2 charms on both ends.  Attach it at the top with a jump ring where the ribbons are tied to hide it.  Add 2 flowers to the center of bow.
5. Find a cute download or buy a set of calendars and print in ivory cardstock.  Ink them with brown and just a bit of purple to match.  I used a cute Bee brad to attach mine but you can also use a tiny nail and punch small holes in the calendars.

Hope you like it and have fun creating your own when you get a crafty moment.  Have a wonderful day....

Be Mine Valentine Card...

Hello everyone, it's Teresa here today to share a flowery and heartfelt card that I did to send out for Valentine's Day this year.  We are using lots of greens and purples this month so I decided to use some of the papers from Heartfelt Creations with the greens and the pinks combined together.  And use some of my favorite Seam Binding ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon to tie the pretty bow with.

The paper had the most beautiful design going down one side of it and I wanted to use the entire length of the paper and not lose any of it.   So I created my card to really show this part of it off.  I stamped and inked lots of flowers from the Heartfelt stamps and then glued them all together.  The heart die is from Spellbinders and so are the tiny leaves that I filled in the spaces with.  I also inked the edges just a bit to make them stand out and look a little more finished.  Then I added just a few pearls to the insides of the flowers.

Here is a closeup of the ribbons and the flowers.  Thanks for stopping by for a visit and be sure and check out all the amazing colors that the bias seam binding comes in... they are just gorgeous!

Have a really wonderful day :)

Valentine Coffee Anyone?

It's Teresa here on this amazing Tuesday morning to share with you something fun that I did with a customizable hot beverage mug.  I found this at a local store and thought how fun this would be to customize the inside for Valentines.  I did them at the store once with neat coffee and hot chocolate designs but today I used fun Valentine papers with lace and ribbons to decorate it.

The papers I used are from a Valentine paper pad by K & Co and the ribbons are from the
Monthly Kit Club Assortment this month called Love is in the air.  And just a bit of pink gingham ribbon that I had in my RRR stash for this month.  I adore all these pinks and reds.... they are just gorgeous!

To make this project you will need to get one of these hot beverage mugs that you can change the liners with.  Inside of the mug there is a pattern that you can use to cut your paper with.  Then all you have to do is decorate the piece and slide it back inside the mug.  I cut one piece with the red heart paper and then I cut another for the band in the center and glued it down.  Then I measured out 2 pieces of lace to fit and glued those on both ends.  To finish it, I tied cute bows with both the pink satin ribbon and the pink check ribbon and attached them onto the handle.  Inside I am going to put some pink tissue with candy and a gift card for Starbucks.  How is that for a fun gift for Valentines?

Here is a close up of the inside of the mug.  I love these because they are quick and easy to make.
Thanks so much for stopping over and if you have any questions be sure and leave one for me and I would be happy to answer back to help any way I can.  Have a really nice day.....

A Valentine Headpiece

Hi Everyone...it's Teresa here today. I have to admit- I love Valentines not only for the candy but also for all the neat things that you can make to give to all those special people in your life.  I think it just makes life more fun to spoil people and give them a reason to smile... so with that in mind today, I am sharing a Valentine headpiece that I made to give to a special daughter, granddaughter or friends little girl and you could even make a cute dress to go with it for her.  Wouldn't that be just the nicest thing to surprise her with.

To make this project you will need a thin wire base to attach the flowers and ribbons to.  I found a piece of wire with clear crystals on it, so I cut a piece and twisted about 3 layers of the wire together and first attached the roses evenly across it.  Then I tied small bits of ribbons, tulle and stamens to fill in all the spaces between the roses.  And to finish it I cut long pieces of the ribbon to hang down the back and this way you can make it bigger if you needed to just in case.

Here is a list of products that I used to make it:
Cottage Roses, metallic edged satin in red, white swirl organza, red tulle, stamens, white organza ribbon, glue gun and crystal wire in silver. Another neat product is the wild orchid bead craft berry sprays... they would really be cute between the roses too maybe in pink with pink roses?

I hope I have you inspired to make something fun with roses this time and be sure and check the blog all this month for more amazing projects from the rest of the design team.... Have a great day!!

Love is in the air....

Hi everyone, it's Teresa here today getting started on my Valentine's projects so that I will be ready for one of my favorite holidays of the year.  Really Reasonable Ribbon has lots of beautiful ribbons for you this month and I am sharing two quick and easy cards that you can do.

My first card is using one of my favorite ribbons called Chevron Striped Twill in black.  It comes in lots of other gorgeous colors and looks great tied at the bottom of a quick stamped card that you do.  I used Doodlebug paper and a stamp set from Avery Elle and layered the rectangles with the Spellbinders Matting basics die set.  It only took about 10 mins and I love that... quick and easy :)

My second card was done using another of my favorite ribbons.  This one is called metallic edged satin and you can see all the colors that it comes in here.  I really love this because the satin is really soft and makes the prettiest bows, don't you think?  To create the top of the card, I layered a few Spellbinders dies and embossed them into the paper and then cut a few for the center to layer it up just a little more.  The rhinestone heart is from Want2Scrap and it goes perfect with the silver edging on the ribbon.

Thanks for stopping over and be sure and check back for lots of lovable ideas all this month from the rest of our team... Have a really great day!!
