Be Happy

Hooray! It's the weekend!

So does that mean more crafty time for you? Do you have a big picnic planned for the holiday? Whatever you do, I hope the sun shines bright on you and your loved ones! :)

When I first saw this image, the little girl's joy was so contagious! I couldn't help but pair her with the 'be happy' sentiment die! :)

And nothing says 'happy' like the color yellow, so I grabbed some of the cheery 5/8" maize taffeta ribbon to tie a big bow. a bit of light pink mini ric rac adds the perfect accent to the bow. One of my fellow DT members gives me a hard time for saving all of my little teeny tiny bits of ribbon, but doesn't the little pop of bright green swiss dot grosgrain look perfect here?! I thought so, too. tee hee!

A wonderful bouquet of assorted Wild Orchid Crafts mulberry flowers make a lush topper of sunshine!

For more info about this card, pop over to my blog at 'Just Coffee Please...'

And don't forget to play along in our current challenge!

Wooden Ribbon Stand

Hello everyone, and Happy Tuesday! Cheryl here with a Super FUN Wooden Ribbon Stand( HOLDER) decorated for Really Reasonable Ribbon! I had my husband make me 2 of these stands, and thought how fun to decorate using Really Reasonable Ribbon items. I love having the ribbon on these as I no longer have a big mess on my work station. You can add what you need to them for a project, and it's all in one place, not scattered about your work space...hehehehe
So we started with picking the bases out, and a dowel. Next I painted them white, and added some beautiful Grosgrain Polka Dot Ribbon, and Red Mini Ric Rac around the base. Next I took the Moss Green Seam binding and ruched it up for greenery, and then added some Sweetheart Blossoms, and 2 Lipstick Red Seam Binding flowers I created.
These stands are perfect for holding the spools from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and I am so glad to have these now, as I always have tons of spools all over my work station, and this way I can have them all on this. Makes crafting much easier, and these are very cheap to make!

I hope you enjoyed my post for today, thank you for looking and PLEASE let me know what you think!!
hugs to all,
Cheryl

Here Comes the Easter Bunny...1,2,3

Happy weekend ribbon peeps!  Got some colorful Easter goodies for you today.  Delightful Easter egg colors...remember dipping them into the food dye and watching the colors settling on the eggs?  These were made for my post here at RRR.    As usual, I used a mix of paper patterns, flowers, etc.  I used Paradise Aqua seam binding, totally twill yellow, swiss dots grosgrain bright yellow, and chevron striped twill turqoise ribbon.   Lots of mixing and matching and having fun along the way!  Happy weekend ya'll!  cherry

Because....I love you

Happy Monday...hope it is going well for you!  I am starting mine off sharing some projects made for RRR.   My first is a whimsical card that I used ribbon scraps on and then topped with pink feathers.  A bit over the top...and I love it.   I used plaid ribbon in black, circus dots grosgrain red, double faced satin in pink, and baby pink seam binding.   I also used jumbo leaves in parrot green and sweetheart blossoms in pink to top my lady silhouette with.
My second project all started when I found this sad and lonely chipboard piece left over from an old Tattered Angels set.   I used all kinds of old bits and bobs on this....I thought it made a cute oversize tag.  I topped it off with Plaid ribbon houndstooth in black and white along with lipstick red seam binding.   It was missing a few flowers  as well so I added some pretty open face white roses.  I don't think you can have too many for Valentines day.  Do you?  Well, enjoy my fellow creators!  Have a great week!  Hugs, cherry

Season's Greetings

Hi there crafty peeps!  I am back today to share with you a quick old world Christmas inspired card I whipped up from my Retro Christmas Creativity Kit from Polly's Paper on Etsy and ribbons from the Really Reasonable Ribbon store.
I used several layers of printed paper and images from the kit to create a beautiful layered card.  I added a belly band with Ivory Double Faced Satin and Bright Green Swiss Dots Grosgrain Ribbons.  I made a double loop bow from the same Ivory Satin Ribbon with my Bow-It-All tool and added that to the middle left side of the card. Finally, I added some Journey glaze to the letters, Candy Cane, and Holly.  I sprinkled some sparkling Journey Sparkle Dust onto the candy cane and sentiment tag to create a more "Holiday" feel.  I hope you enjoy my card and it inspires you to dig out your Holiday supplies and get a start on the season.  Have a wonderful day!
