Co-creating Home - in Vilcabamba, Ecuador ;O

Well, well, WELL...if you didn't hear yet from Mr. M's massive newsletter blast, our 'big announcement' is out in the world now, flickering about and seemingly catalysing even more exciting magic into being... ;)
Yes, we are very excited to share that we have become caretakers of some beautiful land in Ecuador, in an amazing-looking community of 'eco-preneurs' and we SO look forward to getting there, getting our hands in the mineral-rich soil, creating our 'kin's domain' and starting to groooooowwwwww all kinds of yumminess - yeeeeeeeeee-HAH :)))
Aaaaaaaaah, my deepest desires seem to be slowly manifesting into the physical :) For years now, the main thing I have always seen in my visions for my ideal life have been: land, yurt, growing food, community, raising children 'naturally', living with my beloved in a warm, sunny place...weeelllllllllll, ask (clearly) and the Universe certainly seems to deliver... ;) It may take its time - that's all part of the game though...which is of course still ever-unfolding...
For those of you who haven't seen anything about this adventure yet, HERE is a beautiful photo tour of the area, which you can see on Mike Adams' site NaturalNews.com. This photo tour was actually the first thing we ever knew of Vilcabamba and...it was love at first sight ;) We're so excited to get to this veritable 'paradise' of nearly year-round springtime weather (no need for heating OR air conditioning in housing), longevity, mineral-rich soil, clean air, pristine water, eco-communities, like-minded lovelies, abundant organic produce, sunshine and so much more... FUN :) I'm sure we'll be holding retreats and so on there at some point in the future, for y'all to come and play if you'd love to... :)
Incidentally, if all this is jingling some major jangles for you as you read and you'd like to come and play more permanently in the gardens toooooo, then you may be interested to know that we just heard this week of one prime plot on the property that has come up for private sale. It is a gorgeous river-side plot, about 4 acres in size, ideal for growing nutrient-rich food - if you're genuinely interested to know more, you can email me on angela@rawreform.com and I'll send you more details ;)

On the subject of 'Placing Your Order with the Universe', I listened recently to a really sweet little 9 minute podcast by Erin Pavlina (wife of Steve Pavlina), where she shares an easy way to understand the 'Law of Attraction'. She explains so well how to let the Universe understand you clear intentions, through a little story she tells - short, sweet, succinct, useful - you can listen to it HERE if you'd like to flow with that...
Steve and Erin actually have a whole collection of wonderful podcasts like this - and WOW - these people have sooooo much to share - love it - you can tap into all of their free offerings HERE. Erin also recently finished a 30-Day raw food trial - you can read all about that on her blog HERE.

I shall leave you today with a yummy musical interlude that you may indeed perhaps have seen already, as it seems to be doing the email rounds at the moment ;) It's a version of the popular song 'Stand by Me', with a difference... It is sung by street musicians/buskers from all around the world, all synched together into one rendition - and it's beautiful :) It's from the amazing project 'PlayingForChange.com', which is doing outreach work based around music to connect communities all over the world. The footage for this one song alone was collected over many years, in many countries...check it out at the link below if you haven't seen it yet - it's had over 4 million hits on YouTube already, in just 2 months ;O

ENJOY :)
All love and blissings,

There’s ANOTHER Permaculture Design Course coming up soon at another raw-friendly place: Punta Mona Community in Costa Rica. Their course runs from Jan 28th – Feb 10th at their eco-community on the east coast. I didn’t actually tread on Punta Mona ground when I was in Costa Rica this time last year – came VERY close though and I’ve been in contact with some of the lovely people there, who grow muchos amazing greens and rare plants…it’s an incredible community by all accounts – check it out at www.puntamona.org for more info :)

Tomorrow – January the 1st 2008 – the RawReform website is 4 years old. WOW :) Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to yoooooouuuuuuuu…what an extraordinary four years it has been…if you’ve ever wondered how the site started, here’s a little insight from a piece I wrote recently:

“British health magazine Zest wanted to run a piece on my story for their January 2004 ‘new year, new you’ edition. I was thrilled. My partner at that time was an extremely talented web designer and began to suggest we put up a website about my transformation too, to share this message. I laughed at first. At that point, the internet did not play much of a role in my life, other than reading about raw foods and emailing friends. I had certainly never considered having my own website. The more we talked about it though, the more I came to like the idea. It was in Greece in the summer of 2003 that the name ‘RawReform’ was given to me, as I wandered the sandy beaches, pondering which name would suit this venture. I began writing out the content for the website that autumn, which was a hugely cathartic experience for me. It helped me so much to see clearly the patterns I had lived out with food. I was also terrified. I had never spoken honestly with many of the people in my life and now I was about to bare my soul to the world. How would my family and old school friends react when they read my truth?
It took my partner just a few days to put the first website together. Then on January the 1st, 2004, the day my article was published in Zest magazine, RawReform.com went live…I was thrilled…and terrified ;) In the end, the reactions of my family and friends were mainly filled with love, appreciation and kindness. Mostly, people said they felt sad to read how miserable I had really been all that time, underneath the façade. Some seemed surprised that I was sharing so much personal information with the world. Others were silent. The whole experience left me with a huge sense of relief and fulfillment. I had shared my truth with the world and it did not seem to have back-lashed on me ;) I felt encouraged and supported to go on sharing my truth. People seemed to respond with great enthusiasm to my before/after pictures. After all, as the saying goes ‘a picture speaks a thousand words’ and many people seemed to draw inspiration from my photographs.
The journey of RawReform has continued to expand exponentially since those simple beginnings…and I had no idea at that point of what would unfold over the coming years via this website, my little portal to the world… ;)”

…and who knows what 2008 will hold for all of our ext-RAW-dinary adventures…I wish you yummy goal setting and even more delicious fulfillment of your deepest desires in the coming months… :)
Thanks for all your messages, comments and support this year – it is all greatly appreciated…

One love,
Angela (and Mr Monarch ;). xxx
