four in one place!

Mary likes to do scrunchy faces and funny breathing at the moment.
did you watch little dorrit? Steve is calling Mary Panks, much to daisy' and Matty's disgust!

home educating ... just being like mummy!

this was fun, and thrilling, and by thrilling i mean for me - twins girls less than three years, real needles and real sewing ... just like mummy

i offered this activity because as i was giving mary a feed daisy started pretending to cut and sew my trousers. now they have met needles and pins before, even the sewing machine, but not too close when its switched on - the danger there is they stand on the treddle when im sewing, and sew through my finger!

i gave them squares of fabric, bright emboidery floss, and large-ish needles, fairly sharp - blunt ones would just be frustrating! i knotted the threads so that the needles would stay on. daisy went through 2 squares of fabric and about 4 lengths of thread, her work is the largest and the smallest of the three forms. she concentrated for over an hour.

people often ask me how i get anything done, the answer is just to do it, and to do it with your children.

more fun feet ...

after the fursuit feet i decided that i would run up some slippers for the girls
as i dont seem to be able to get into town so easily with all three little ones ...
and theirs were wearing out fast ...

these have come out a bit big, but they do love them
the soles are PVC material left over from some costume capes i once made, i made 3 caped avengers for a local council campaign a few years ago now, would you like to see them?

yesterday we went to value house and i bought a monster sized dog collar to make into a belt, to carry the big fursuit mouse's tail ....

at one end of the sofa ....

i sew, read, drink tea, eat pretend food, eat real cake, put my feet up, sketch designs, fail at soduku, make phone calls, stuff sewing projects, take photographs and smile at the children!

and at the other .....

message on polypropalene ....

an image produced by playing with a celephane bag with a message on it, from a friend up north ...
can you work out what it says?
this is what my garden looks like typically, lots of laundry ...
as i type, my bedding is out there now, hope its not a toilet for our resident robin and black bird ...

took the girls to the beach this morning, must do some again sewing soon! *
they were very happy until it was time to leave, i managed to persuade them by getting them to carry their own drinks cups back to the car! i did not take the camera, as i was already wearing mary in the carrier and helping toddlers up steps and so on, daisy had to be helped a couple of times when she fell over running ...

i do love them. they are all asleep right now !

*erk, german scentence construction?
