Bees at large!

Remember my bees? Now it's time for their first outing and you can see them here from tomrrow ...

I had a look at all the art being set up today and it all looks really good. If you come to the opening tomrrow you can meet lots of the artists too and me as Queen Cat helping to open the exhibition at 11am. Drinks and nibbles and a voucher below if you bring it with you :-)

And here are the sock bees that turned out so well! Everyone wants to stroke them! Naughty!

Artwey at The Engine Room

Two members of Artwey are currently showing their work at The Engine Room, Poundbury...

One of them is me! And you can see our Topsy cat smiling down as you eat your lunch!

My mixed media pieces look really cool on the natural brick walls...

Roar! Behold the Lion of Judah!

Let me know if you pop in to visit!

I love mirrors and have included quite a few ...

And one frame, Guard your heart!

And I'm hoping to spread a little joy too!

Here's a fresh and figurative piece, a red squirrel, executed with paint and oil pastels and a little pencil.

And here's a scene from The Sea Life Centre also created using paint and pastel.

Artwey at Dorchester Library ...

It ends on Saturday but here is my work in the lovely cabinet which I hired as part of Artwey's two-week exhibition ....

I have included work in a variety of media this time!

As I like to make and draw owls a special visitor came to visit the work. Here is Angel owl with our own Oliva Nurrish!

And you can see the picture I did for Angels owner in the cabinet behind Dorset's favourite snowy owl ...

How challenging it is to draw white creatures! Have you ever tried it?

Here is seven-year-old Daisy's portrait of Angel xxx

Exhibiting ....and 'show me the rejects!'

As well as showing Donkeys and seagulls at St Mary's, I am also exhibiting in the workshops at the back of the brewers Quay.

You can also see part of the giant wall here, it is still growing, with portraits of those who inspire us - oh look, there's Jesus!

Delightful Donkeys!

Sandy, Smokey and Rocky are all finished ...

Rocky can now me found in the Plus Team Etsy Shop.

Smokey and Sandy can be visited at St Mary's, Weymouth, from next week. Many of the churches are open as HUBS - cafes and galleries, during the olympics. A little oasis, and much of the work is sea themed!

Yesterday we went to the Library ...

and you can go too if you like ...

An Artwey community project for 2012 is getting a bit of a preview, with workshops and inspiration ... So here is a portrait by Matty to inspire others!

The giant wall will be made up of textile pictures of inspiring people such as these, Daisy made this image, of her inspiring Home-Educated friend!

And even Mary too tried her hand at free-machining and hand stitching, along with the fabric pastels we used too.

You can see our work on the washing line, and find out more about The Giant Wall ...

And we also contributed to the visitors book, and chatted with clare, stewarding!
