Would This Be Considered Diet Food?

Would "Special K Bars" be considered diet food? After all, they have Special K cereal in them!

Ok, maybe they'd be part of the "Things-That-Taste-Great-And-I-Don't-Care-How-Many-Calories-Are-In-Them Diet"!

Try this recipe sometime:
Bring 1 cup sugar, with 1 cup light corn syrup to a boil...
Then turn off the flame and add 1 1/2 cups of peanut butter...I use chunky! Stir until well-blended.
The Purse Dog thinks something smells good. Will she get any? She hopes so. But I think it's best to make her stick to a diet of Iams and dog biscuits!

Next pour the mixture over 6 cups of Special K cereal...
Stir until the mixture coats all of the cereal. Then spread into an ungreased pan...
Let it cool down. And while it's cooling down, make the topping. Heat 1 cup butterscotch chips with 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips. Use a double boiler or just watch it very carefully in a regular saucepan. Just don't let it burn...or you'll be sorry!
Spread the topping over the Special K bars...
Cut into squares and Enjoy! I know they look a little messy, but trust me, they are yummy! If you eat a lot of these bars, you may end up being as big as an...
Yes, that's right...an elephant.
Check out this cute baby quilt I just finished. The backing is a beautful brown and light blue polka-dot Minkie fabric. So cute. I kept the quilting light, as per instructions of the grandma. She wanted it lightly quilted to stay nice and soft and cuddly.
Hope you're having a nice weekend!

A Quilt Comes Alive!

Last week I finished the "Be Attitudes" quilt by Nancy Halvorsen of "Art to Heart" quilts. And look at what happens when it comes alive block by block! ...starring Daughter #2, Her Sweetheart, BabyBoy, and PurseDog.

Simple Equations

Sunflowers in my garden at night + my little Canon Elph = my new favorite photos:

I use my Nikon D40X most of the time, but my Canon Elph is easy to grab and take a shot or two, when I'm in the mood.
I love the colors of these sunflowers. They really show up nicely at night!
This one will be food for the birds soon. Mmmm sunflower seeds!
I love the contrast and variety of our sunflowers in the garden.

Another simple equation for you:

1 1/2 yds of pretty juvenile fabric + 1 1/2 yds of coordinating chenille = some cute baby quilts finished with my longarm today:

Have a great day blogging friends!
