Card-Decorative Painting

I love roses, this is my take on one- stroke painted rose and flowers.Pink is my favorite color , along with blue , hence the full blown pink rose . Sometimes I become really creative and make blue roses :)
Scribd has Donna Dewberrys book on-line , its full of instructions, patterns , designs. A visual treat !!
One stroke painting is very easy and is also called decorative painting, rosemaling or tole painting.One need not be a great artist to learn this art. I have spent quite a few hours learning one stroke painting and love it.

Card-decorative painting

Decorative painting or folk art is very beautiful and most important, very easy , no previous experience is needed ! Its also called Tole Painting , its quite an old form of painting now in its new avatar its called Stroke painting. It can be used for painting on handmade cards with fabulous results.
I have painted daisies on handmade sheet colored with coffee powder solution and acrylic paints. Sure smells good and gives a nice background color too.There are coffee powder paintings, more of that later !!!!
I think handmade paper is great for making cards as its folds nicely and has a lovely texture.
