The man exposed himself to a 10-year-old girl who was sitting in a parked car on Grand Avenue and 79th Street around 3 p.m. on May 28, police said.

Around 7 a.m. last Wednesday, police said the same man exposed himself to a 12-year-old girl sitting in a parked car near Calamus and Grand avenues.

Presenting...the April Fool

"A woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, caught a man on film engaging in lewd and lascivious acts towards her on the F train in New York City. Sitting directly across from him, he began to sexually harass her by staring her down like a predator fixated on its prey and doing some sort of primal crotch display while wearing pantyhose. Lewd conduct should never be tolerated. If you see something, say something."

Residents upset with Astoria S&M club

From the NY Post:

An S&M dungeon that shares a building with a dance academy for young girls in Queens has some parents begging the kinky group to find a new place to get their freak on.

Isabella, a parent who asked that her last name not be used, came across Iron Bell when she started looking for a dance school for her 10-year-old daughter.

A friend recommended Astoria Fine Arts, which, coincidentally, was not far from Isabella’s home. But when she looked up other tenants in the building, the results shocked her.

Since 1998, a city ordinance has barred X-rated businesses from being within 500 feet of schools and residential areas.

So Isabella on Thursday submitted a formal complaint with the city, asking officials to investigate the Iron Bell’s operations, records show.

A spokeswoman for the Buildings Department confirmed the building on 23rd Avenue sits in a residential zone and is registered as a facility for offices and storage. The agency will investigate the X-rated claims.

Well, I'm not going to comment on the proclivities of the Astoria crowd. But just check out this piece of crap across the street!

It took a lot of effort to create something this fugly.

UPDATE: The dungeon was evicted.

NYC subway justice

From the NY Post:

It was the last stop for this subway creep.

An alleged subway groper was cuffed yesterday after fellow straphangers dragged him off an L train in Brooklyn and held him for cops, police said.

Victor Sigler, 30, of The Bronx, was arrested on a charge of forcible touching for allegedly grabbing a 35-year-old victim around the waist and feeling her buttocks as she got off a Queens-bound G train at the Lorimer Street subway stop at around 9:30 p.m., police said.

Sigler then allegedly ran and tried to board a Manhattan-bound L train — with his victim in hot pursuit — but was dragged out of the car and held on the platform by a pair of good Samaritans, in an act of street justice captured on video and posted to YouTube today.

As one of the straphanger heroes held Sigler on the platform, bystanders applauded as transit cops arrived and made the arrest.

The woman was not harmed.

Law probably won't stop library pervs

From AM-NY:

Less than a week after police arrested a "high risk" sex offender for allegedly sexually abusing two young girls in a Queens Library, local politicians are urging state legislators to keep sex offenders away from children at city libraries.

Though sex offenders are banned from entering playgrounds, Public Advocate Bill de Blasio and Councilman Peter Vallone said the law does not keep them out of kids' reading rooms at libraries.

In a joint letter to Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver and Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos, the city pols urged the leaders of both houses to pass a law keeping offenders out of those specific areas, which they said "protects our children from the criminals who prey on them."

Spokesmen for Skelos and Silver said they would review the letters.

They're already breaking the law by molesting children, do these 2 really think they are going to stay away from the kids' library room because of another law?

Elmhurst perv on the loose

From the NY Post:

A man molested two 12-year-old girls in Queens after driving up and asking directions, cops said last night.

The first attack occurred on Nov. 7 when the perv, in a white sedan with a flag sticker on the driver’s door, approached a girl at around 8 a.m. on 54th Avenue in Elmhurst, cops said.

The creep showed the girl a piece of paper with numbers on it and asked if she knew the address. He lured her into his car and then groped her, cops said.

The second attack, with the same m.o., occurred at around 4 p.m. Friday on 55th Avenue. Neither girl was injured.

Park name change requested

From Bayside Patch:

Reverend Phillip Kim of Korean Presbyterian in Bayside recently filed a petition with the city asking to have the name of Marie Curie Park to "Marie Curie Playground," a move he says will make the area safer for the children who play there.

The park is used by children from the church, because they are located on opposing sides of the same street.

"It's my understanding that under the current situation, because it is a park, the area is open to the general public," Kim said.

But Kim would like to see the city officially name this public space a playground, which he said would make it subject to a stricter set of regulations, prohibiting any adults unaccompanied by children from entering.

"It's a problem because we've notice adults engaging in questionable behaviors in front of the children," Kim said.

One Queens perv caught, another on the loose

From CBS New York:

A suspect is being sought in connection with yet another sex crime in Queens.

Police said that last Thursday a suspect approached 22-year-old woman at the Seneca Avenue M Line subway station and grabbed her breast and private area. The suspect then fled the station for the street, authorities said.

The suspect is said to be a Hispanic man, between 25-30 years old and approximately 5-foot-5. He was last seen wearing a hooded ECKO sweatshirt and blue jeans.

From the NY Times:

A 15-year-old Queens youth has been arrested on charges that he tried to rape two women this month, part of what the authorities say is a pattern of five attacks in the borough’s southeastern section that began in late September.

The youth, whose name was not released, is said by prosecutors to have attacked a 40-year-old woman on Oct. 9 and a 24-year-old woman on Oct. 16, both in Laurelton. In the two cases, prosecutors said, the youth punched the women and tore at their clothes, leaving them bruised and bleeding. He is charged with assault, two counts of attempted rape, one count of attempted sex abuse and one count of sex abuse.

The police said the suspect was arrested Sunday and charged Monday after being identified by victims in two lineups.

Because he is a juvenile, the suspect would face up to eight years in prison if convicted, according to the Queens district attorney’s office. A police spokesman declined Monday evening to say how the youth was caught.

Perv attacking school girls at bus stops

From WPIX:

Pix 11 has learned about a string of sex assaults in Queens, mostly against High School aged girls near and area known as the "school corridor". In all five cases, the victims were waiting for or were on an MTA bus in the morning when the perverts struck, says retired NYPD Detective Sergeant, Wally Zeins.

Zeins says that the first report, in this string of attacks, happened on September 27th at seven in the morning at the intersection of Jamacia Boulevard and Parsons Boulevard. A high school aged female reported that a male came up behind her touched her. And by noon that day, police got two more reports of assaults. One near Chapin Parkway and the other at Archer Avenue and Union Hall street. In that case, a male came up behind the girl, who was heading to school and pulled down her pants and grabbed her private area.

In all three of those cases, Wally says the suspects matches one description.

Then, a week later police got reports of a male, with a fat lower lip, walking up to a girl waiting for the Q 88 bus, near Main Street, asking "do you know it's raining?" then proceeded to grab her neck and breast.

Two days later, on October 5th, Zeins said that another groper revealed his private parts to a high school aged girl on the Q 88 bus near Kissena Boulevard and Horace Harding Boulevard.

Wally said the Special Victims Unit was swift to make an arrest in that case and believe the suspect might be connected to another case, on October 4th.

Library foot fetishist on the loose

From CBS 2:

Some things about this story are kinda weird...

Why would you leave your 7-year old alone in a library?

What 7-year old says, “I want him to suffer, that’s all. I want him to suffer until he dies.”???

The library does not have surveillance cameras. In response to the attack, Councilman Vallone has secured funding to have cameras installed.

How did he manage that when requests for funding were due before the budget passed back in June? Slush fund?

Groper response delayed

From the Queens Gazette:

An Astoria mom is lashing out at the NYPD after police at the 114th Precinct took more than three hours to respond to 911 calls she made after a man followed her daughter and a friend into an elevator at her Astoria apartment building.

Julia Hess told reporters she called 911 three times after her daughter and a friend, each 10-years-old, ran screaming into her 29th Street apartment at about 4:30 p.m. on August 5. The terrified girls told Hess, 42, that a man who entered the elevator with them asked for their names and grabbed his crotch, asking “Do you want to see it?”

A surveillance video shows the man touching the girls as they hurried out of the elevator, police sources said.

Hess walked to the 114th Precinct at about 7:15 p.m. on August 5 to report the incident. While at the Astoria Boulevard stationhouse, Hess received a call on her cell phone stating that the police were waiting for her at her apartment.

Police officials confirmed that they are investigating the incident to determine what delayed cops, preventing them from rapidly responding to Hess’ 911 calls.

Is Jackson Heights an epicenter of perversion?

From the Queens Chronicle:

“If you have breasts, you get hit on. That’s how this neighborhood is,” said Nicolle Loayza, 26. She was talking about Jackson Heights, where she was born and raised. A man accused of groping three women in the neighborhood on two different occasions is still at large.

On the heels of these reports and a spate of separate groping incidents reported in Astoria and the Upper East Side, council members Julissa Ferreras (D-Corona) and Danny Dromm (D-Jackson Heights) stood on the corner of 90th Street and Roosevelt Avenue today to pass out fliers with the police drawing of the Jackson Heights groper.

Yesterday, a different man, Jose Alfredo Perez Hernandez, was arrested for allegedly fondling several women on the Upper East Side, according to published reports. Hernandez is from Corona.

Ferreras said she decided to canvass Jackson Heights today both because of the incidents that occurred in her district and because of Hernandez. “Is this the place where people come to hide?” she asked of Corona.

While Dromm and Ferreras continued to pass out fliers, Loayza pointed to the spot across Roosevelt Avenue where she said men often wait just to look up women’s skirts when they climb the stairs to the 90th St. 7 train.

She described the time a man grabbed her crotch a few blocks away when she was just 12 years old, and said men often follow her home from the train, catcalling her along the way. However, she has never reported a single incident.

“I’ve learned to deal with it,” she said. “You just walk around the block and try to lose them.”

But Ferreras thinks this is precisely the problem.

“It’s not just about shrugging it off or avoiding a corner,” Ferreras said.

How about the fact that this behavior has for decades been considered acceptable in some of the vibrant, diverse cultures that call Jackson Heights home? I heard stories like this about Jackson Heights back in the 1980s.

Springfield Gardens perv pinched

From WPIX:

A man who was once voted "Little League Coach of the Year" has been arrested and charged for allegedly molesting three teenage boys on his team and videotaping the acts, authorities announced Wednesday.

According to Queens District Attorney Richard Brown, David Hartshorn, 52, was charged with multiple counts of criminal sexual acts, use of a child in a sexual performance and endangering the welfare of a child.

The sexual abuse of the victims -- described as two 14-year-old boys and one 13-year-old boy -- started in July 2009 and lasted until a few weeks ago, Brown said.

Hartshorn, a coach for the Rochdale Village Little League in Springfield Gardens, allegedly molested the teens inside his Queens home where officials say he exposed the minors to child pornography and got them to engage in sex acts which he filmed.

Among several shocking accusations, authorities allege that in August 2010, Hartshorn had as many as six teens over his residence to play a game of poker. The loser of the game was made to perform a sexual act on another boy, which Hartshorn filmed with a camcorder and allowed the other teens to watch live, police said.

A search warrant executed on the Hartshorn's residence allegedly recovered many movies on various formats - including VHS and DVD - showing the young boys engaging in sexual acts and images of small children less than ten years of age engaged in similar activity.

Hartshorn was taken into custody after the victims reported the abuse to police at the NYPD's 113th Precinct station house earlier this week.
