This month we have Carpets for Communities, a fair trade charity that supports women in Cambodia. The carpets are wonderful, they've been at our market previously.
And recently, we've welcomed Diana Ackerman and her fair trade business, Koguis. Her beautiful and bright handmade products are fair traded from Colombia and involve interesting techniques and materials.
Hope to see you at the market on Saturday, (16th June) from 10am till 4pm.

Making a mark at Ivanhoe makers market
The Livingstone Community Centre is all set up, ready for our wonderful stallholders who arrived bright eyed and bushy tailed, tomorrow for the March (Saturday the 17th) Ivanhoe Makers Market.
We have two fair traders with us: Douglas Blane and his wonderful beadwork and Diana Akkerman who is a fair trade business. I didn't get to see her last month, but they tell me there was lots of wonderful handwork for sale.
Last month we also had Shameena Sheriff whose Henna art work obviously made quite a splash!
We also have Stephen Rosana joining us who makes speakers. I haven't seen his application, so I'm looking forward to viewing handmade speakers!
Anyway, come and see for yourself,
Cheers, Teresa

Beautiful jewellery!
I always say you can't have too many books or jewellery and here at Ivanhoe we have some gorgeous jewellers, all who have been with us for awhile. So, in no particular order, we have:
As you can see we have a wonderful array of jewellers. I love them all! Come along this Saturday and see if you can find some special presents for that someone special. Hope to see you there!
Shirley Barker with her semi-precious stones. Her colours are always strong and vibrant. Just right for that statement piece.
James Estergard has some amazing sterling silver, and other metal jewellery, really strong design. I have a gorgeous titanium ring with a tiny bolt that I wear almost constantly, it fits with my casual lifestyle, most of his are fantastic statement pieces.
Kanella Tsirbis is our other metal jeweller and her delicate jewellery is wonderful. There are a couple of pieces that I would love to own and her earings are gorgeous.
Margaret Edwards has beautiful crytal and other beads in beautiful combinations. Just right to add a bit of sparkle to an outfit.
AND
Just for something different, Susie Tschirsch has wonderful fabric japanese jewellery. Amazing to see and a great present for that sister of mine!

A great day at the Livingstone Community Centre
As we start to prepare ourselves for the next market on the 17th, I thought we could reflect on the lovely day we had for our first market in the Livingstone Community Centre.
It's quite a different space with various rooms to explore and lovely light through the large windows. We're now able to have stalls outside, adding to how the market looks and feels.
It was a busy day, and we welcomed many new faces and many of our friends.
