EPP project

My scrappy cushion cover came out to play for a little while this afternoon and I added 4 more to it.
The biggest problem I have is that I don't have as many different fabric as I thought I did so it's much harder to avoid similar colours together.

Sadly as yet no hexie flowers have been made this month but I still have plenty of time to get some done

Hexies

It's been a while since I last managed to get any hexies done but today I sat and made a couple of flowers up

Hopefully I should have more time for them now

Another snowflake

It's been a long tiring day today, my annual trip to Harrogate Knitting and Stitching show to help Kate out on her stand so a quick post this evening of the latest snowflake to arrive before I have an early night

More snowflakes

The other 3 I have received so far.
They do interlock but one of the others has outlined her's in white before sewing them together and I quite like that idea so I'm undecided as yet what I'll do

Hexie snowflakes

Another swap I signed up for on Facebook.
This time it's for snowflakes in blue & white fabric, they are also 1" sides but this one is a UK only swap and there are only about 20 of us

The first 3

Hexie quilt

I've started putting together my hexie quilt from the swap I'm doing on facebook, not quite sure if it's going to be a single quilt size or a lap quilt.

So far I've received 96 flowers from all over the globe, mostly from the US but a few have come from Australia and the butterfly one in the pic is from about 15 miles away :)

Hexies

I'm taking part in a 1" hexie flower swap that's happening in the EPP (English Paper Piecing) group I'm in on facebook.  One member posted about it and it snowballed from there, all we have to do is message people to swap with make your flower, sign the centre and post it off, simples :)

My first 4 ready to go, these went to Tasmania, Canada and USA and yes I did sign them before I sent them

A couple of days ago the first one arrived

This morning another 2 arrived

Pincushion finish

I've been thinking for a few weeks that I need a pincushion for my quilt travel case so I have somewhere to stick my needle when out and about today I finally got round to it.

I've used scraps for it some of which are in my quilt (or will be) and I did using English Paper Piecing which is the same technique I'm using for my quilt.
It's also where I started my crafting journey at the age of 11
