Hi dolls, today i have my second edition of Brown spotlight , in which am going to let you guys meet the lovely owner of the Jazhara accessoires jewelry shop.

I’m a very friendly person, funny, always have a smile on my face. I love to support my people, love going out. I also love eating out.

Describe your personal style: 

I love colors a lot. But sometimes you can find me wearing black allot. I love black too. I love skinny pants with a cute shirt. If the shirt is colorful is better . I love earrings and rings. Sometimes I like to have some unique things (everyone right?), like a huge lip necklace.

 I don’t like wearing heels, I like flats and wedges. (OMG I love wedges) I am not into make-up, like foundations and things like that, just my pink lipsticks and under eyeliner.

The name Jahzara is an African name and it means Blessed princess.

When was this company established:

The company was established the 15^th of August 2011. It’s growing so fast and I am proud of that 

What do you sell?:

Let me first say that my goal is to sell like everything a Diva girl can think about. One of my goals is to sell clothes and that will become reality soon

. Now we are selling make-up, necklaces, earrings, rings, bags, wallets. 

How did you start your company :

I bought all the things I wanted to start with.  especially necklaces, earrings, rings. I started in the same place as our other business. It was very easy because I already had a small amount of money , so I just had to buy some things and just store them. And with the month I was growing I bought other items, like bags, wallets etc. I am still in the process of growing, because I am not selling all the items I want yet.

Why did you start out your company :

At the age of 12 and up I started to think that I want to open my own business. I love jewelries so I thought why not? I want to have my own business beside my future work as a lawyer. All of us want to have enough money to live like we want right?  So this would be a good way to earn more and do what I most like: Search for more cute items to sell! I love fashion jewelries so I love searching for more to see what’s in fashion etc.

I enjoy studying, especially when it’s a subject I’m really interested in.

Summer Styling: how to style shorts

Hi dolls , am back summer has officially started for me as of yesterday THANK YOU GOD. i seriously thought i wouldn't see the day , but eventually it came. so this means beach sun and SHORTS all the way. styling shorts is super fun and you can have a really good time putting outs fits together for that perfect summer day. i just thought id share with you guys how ill be styling my favorite shorts for this summer. 

ive created 3 looks that i think ill definitively be rocking allot during this summer and that i absolutely love. i hope you all love it too.

Look 1 : The berry playful look 

dress down a flowy button up , with these Capri denim shorts for a fun flirty summer look. 

keep your accesoiries simple so you don't feel overwhelmed in the sun.dress it down with cute flats or dress it up but stay casual with playfull wedges.

look 2 : berry sweet 

coral has bee really in this spring and summer, and of course i love everything that has e shade of pink in it. pair it up with a sheer leopard print blouse for a chic sweet, yet edgy look. and off course dress it up or down with flats or even leopard print heels.

look 3 : berry boho 

pair your dark denim short with an Aztecan printed blouse to inspire that eccentric bohemian look. turn ure satchel into a day time clutch to make it fun , and show that ure versatile ad creative .

7 days of summer : Wedges

Hi dolls, how have you all been ?
i hope everything is swell. am sorry for deserting you guys for so long , but i had some school duties to finish. am not done yet but am almost there. summer and freedom is so close i can feel it.
so the next must have item for my  7 days of summer is. 

WEDGES. 

we all know that besides diamonds , shoes are a girls best friend, and in the summer time wedges are a must have item.  i absolutely love wedges for the summer time because their flirty, and comfortable you can look sweet and chic without over doing it and still look casual and laid back.

Picking Wedges 

there are so many wedge styles, to choose from it could be really difficult at times to find the perfect pair of summer wedges, but that's why am here to help you guys along the way . 

now summer time is all about being relaxed laid back ad comfortable. 

because of the hot weather you want to make sure not to over do it with accesoires. summer time is a happy time where everybody is glowing and vibrant , so i suggest you pick out a bright colored type of wedge with a girly or flirty detailing or design. 

so you can look sexy and playfull at the same time , here are some wedge inspirations.

you can ever go wrong with a good old pair of brown wedges, its a very neutral color it looks chic and goes with anything. 

if you are more on the daring side , you can also style your outfits with neon wedges, but remember to keep it low key on top so you dont over do it . you dont want to be looking like a light bulb

and if your the more , casual type a pair of wedge sneaker can look really edgy and cool too.

Review | Inglot freedom system pallete

Hi dolls am back again with another review.

this time around ill be reviewing , the Inglot cosmetics pallete i bought about 2 months ago.

General information

so i bought this eyeshadow pallete about 2 months ago, at inglot curacao. because i dance in a dance group and we all need to have the same make up look for when we perform. so inglot is a make up cosmetic store , it recently established itself on Curacao wich is my lovely island. and i think they are slightly more affordable then MAC. inglot has e very unique systeem wich is called the freedom systeem, this is where you can choose wich ever eyeshadow that u want , insterted in different palletes, there are single palletes 2's 4's '6's'10'20 and so on palletes. this isnt only for eyeshadows but also for blush concealer and pressed powders.

packaging

i purchased a four eye shadow pallete, from their freedom system you get it in a packaging just like this. with the name on it , its verry sleek and simple i like that. 

when you open it up you get a magnetic pallete , this eliminates the trouble of having to worry about the cover falling back on when ure doing your make up you can just slide it off and work from there. 

whats also interesting is the fact that they are magnetic which means if you buy more palletes they stick together because of that , which also eliminates having loose palletes everywhere since their all stacked up together and become one.

verdict : A

these eyeshadows are absolutely amazing i fell in love with them the moment i put them on for the first time. they dont crease , dont need any base and stay put for up to 4 hours. they are highly pigmented and true to the color.

1 small con 

eyeshadows have numbers not names 

when put in pallete you cant see them so

i absolutely loved this product and i will definitely be paying another visit to the inglot curacao store.

7 days of summer : Denim shorts

Hi dolls, how have you all been ?
i hope everything is swell. so this is going to be the first part of my 7 days of summer blogpost. 

we all know summer is right around the corner everybody is bussy with gettin school work done , so that they can enjoy the summer. ill be posting 7 summer must have items on my summer 2012 list. 

Denim shorts 

so the number one thing on my summer 2012 must have  list is the oh so beloved denim short. i live int he caribean for those of you who dont know. and its gettin freaking hot day by day . this item is the perfect item for me to rock this summer in this hot and humid weather.

i havent bought a pair of shorts yet , am searching for the one that fits perfectly , since i have a verry shaply body, i have to be sure to get one that fits just the way i like. am dying to studdefy then when i buy them.

 

i would love to have some denims shorts , with tribal patterns or some other kind of tye-die vibe to it . or i could just do it myself aswell depends on my mood .

Hi dolls, Ive been loving all the spring trends lately and i decided to make a Lookbook of my 4 favourite looks for spring.

Look 1 Abstract Patterns

now this look is really in right now wich is the Shirt dresses , asimetrical , cropped or whatever you wanna call it. what i love about this dress is not only the fact that i got it in sale for 25 guilders ( orginial 89). but i love the intresting pattern on it , verry sophisticated yet soft and modern.the belt fits perfectly to sinche in my waist area and acsentuate my hour glass shape. so that i dont look shapeless.

Look 2 Sheer and Pastel

now look number two is all about a softer femininity , sheer is one of springs must haves this year

and i am totaly in luv with this trend. this blouse is very flowy and casuall

and the pants and bag giv it that litlle boost of sweetness it needed, to complete this look.

Look 3 Colorblocking

now this look is a mix of colorblocking plus sheer, i liked the way i put this outfit together because

its colorblocking but in a verry subtle way, the red polka dots match with the skirt and the pop of blue just make it look sophisticated but , yet laid back.

Look 4 Neon

Now the last look , is all about adding bits of neon to ure outfit , in a way that it doesnt look too dramatic. like me shoes my watch and my skirt are all neon colored inspired.and i decided to make this outfit more fun by pairing it with a cropped top.

Ode to my Country pt.1

Some call it an Island, many don’t even know about it, but I call it home. I am from afro-Caribbean descent, and Curaçao is what I call home, it’s a small island in the Caribbean, a small dot on the globe. My island is very beautiful very green and very brown, the people that live here are open hearted and we call them Yui’Korsou. My home is a melting pot, different cultures wherever you turn, we are hot headed, feisty and creative, we wear our hearts on our sleeves and like every other Caribbean country we love to eat. We are small in kilometers but big at heart, we express our creativity in many different ways. We are art lovers, fashion addicts and masters chefs in our own cuisine. We have Rugged desert coastlines and beautiful bleu colored waters, everywhere you turn you can find Children learning, and laughing

Teens pursuing their passion in dance acting singing or poetry. The days here are breezy and sunny, we are blessed with artist poets and comedians, and for us there’s no such thing as language barrier, and we speak all of them.  But not everything is always turned sunny side up, my country has had its ups and downs, political battles are part of our culture, and crimes are committed here as well. It’s the land of the rich, and the land of the poor.  We love to love and we love to hate, criticism comes hand in hand with the aspects of our culture. But that’s my Curaçao a bit of paradise not far away a poet I am not, but for Curaçao I will give it a shot. It’s not perfect and all is not swell, but no matter how far I travel, no matter the people I meet. Am proud to say that I will forever be a southern carribean belle.

My Curaçao is palette of vibrant colors, and just 2 show you it’s true, here are all my island treasures.
