I have been very thrifty lately. Had to for many reasons but it is still good to know I can do it and get so much!
These were half price this week and I can handle them at $2! Yummy!
These are great and very handy for many uses! I have been wanting one to hold small goodies while crafting. My local Good Will had one that is white (I was thinking I’d love it pink anyway) and it was a whopping $.69! ☺
I received a book of Proctor & Gamble coupons. Really good ones most are $1. I was getting low on toothpaste
and deodorant
and lets face it I cannot go with out these, and I was lucky that the coupons were $.75 and $.50. At the local grocery they double coupons every day! So my toothpaste was $.99 and the double pack of deodorant was $3.49! Now I am good for a while and can keep my friends ;)
This sweet little girl was at a local Hallmark sidewalk sale! She was $3! She doesn’t have wings but is still cute, and not broken in any other way! I have wanted one for a while.
Maybe being on a really strict budget isn’t all that bad. I got things I was looking for in a really easy way that were better in price anyway.
It is kind of fun to think of it as a game instead of something you have no choice but to do.
Hope you are all having a great week!
Hugs, Lisa
Hey Lisa--what great finds! I love the angels, even without wings!!! I have one of those wingless angels and I love her just the same..maybe more than others..

Lisa, I love all of your finds. I was reading a coupon blog tonight, and if you go to my blog and read the post I did on Tablescape Thursday, one of the last comments on the post is from her. She has GREAT savings on all sorts of coupons. I was looking at some earlier. I need to put her blog on my sidebar.
ReplyDeleteYour angel is so cute. And while I didn't think of a muffin tin to store things in, that's a very good idea. I have thrifted for the fun of it (and also because I was on a budget) for most of my adult life, and it's a joyous experience. There are all sorts of treasures out there for very, very good prices.
XO,
Sheila :-)
Hi Lisa -
ReplyDeleteThe muffin pans are great organizers and your angel is so sweet. I have always had to be thrifty being a single mom of 3, and for me it has always been the thrill of the hunt to get the bargain price :)

Hello Lisa
ReplyDeleteGreat finds! Love you little angel and the rest is good to have :)

Great finds and just when you needed them. That's the best!
ReplyDeleteSweetie, you did good and I love your attitude of seeing it as a fun game finding bargains to help with your budgeting...you rock!!

It's amazing what you can save when you have to. I managed to cut £50 off our shooping bill when things were quite bad for us, it's unbelievable to amount of stuff we buy that we don't really need, good for you! K xx
ReplyDeleteI bet being on a strict budget is forcing you to be more creative in alot of different ways! Maybe you could do a post every week on the great things that you find, and your new uses for them, like using the muffin pan for organization. I love stuff like that!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday!

Good job, Lisa! Thrift has become a bit of an obsession with me in the past four Vermont years. You are doing VERY well!

Hi Lisa,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for faithfully stopping by my blog and leaving me well wishes while I was sick.
I am so much better now and back to creating again. I've got about 5 different projects started! Definitely back to my old self.

What a terrific way to think of shopping thrifty as a game, Lisa!! I do that, too! I'd rather buy cheap and brag about it! LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and entering my Cottage Charm giveway and so sweetly adding my button to your sidebar! Good luck to you!
Hope you had a fantastic weekend!
Big TX Hugs,

Good morning Lisa :)
ReplyDeleteYou found some great deals! Don't you love when that happens? I enjoy Thrifting too, the thrill of the hunt. I have found some wonderful deals too. I bet you could make some wings for your angel. I just read that you are a Veterinary Assistant. What a hard but rewarding job that must be. I love animals too and have often thought about pursuing that career, but the Lord had other plans for me. In the meantime I just love on my English Flat-Hair Lab :)
Have a great day!

Hi Lisa~ Have a great day. Thanks for all your sweet comments youve left over the last year. Wow I cant believe how my first year of blogging flew by!
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa,
ReplyDeleteLove the sweet little Angel and yes, the other provisions one can't do without.
Isn't it great when you can buy things on special.
Have a happy week,
Hugs
Carolyn
It's so much more fun to find things cheaper. Anybody can walk into a store and pay regular price. But it's like a treasure hunt to find the real deals!

Hi Lisa!
ReplyDeleteGirl, I can totally relate to throwing down the spending gaunlet and getting back to some serious thriftiness! We are tightening our belts here at the Thrifty Groove! LOL The fun things I will be showing in the next few month are going to be purchases that I have made in the past for the most part.
I hope you are having a great day!
