Hello Pulp Friends,

With the newest LONE RANGER movie playing in the theaters this weekend (at the moment I type this I haven't seen it yet), I thought it would be good time to share the latest 2 covers for the great series Dynamite is publishing, written by Ande Parks and drawn by Esteve Polls.

Have a wonderful PULP SUNDAY, everyone!

Cheers,
FF

Hello Pulp Friends,

Time for another Double Feature here on Pulp Sunday.
Here's my covers for THE LONE RANGER #12 an THE SPIDER #7, both in stores in December.

THE LONE RANGER #12 is written by Ande Parks with Art by Esteve Polls
Here's what you need to know about this story:
The epic conclusion of the Native Ground arc. The Lone Ranger has traveled through Indian lands in search of a healer for his friend Tonto. Now, the healer has been found, and she is not at all what the Ranger expected. Has the Ranger come all this way just to watch his friend die? The battle for Tonto's life and soul will be resolved. Your understanding of this iconic character will be forever changed.

THE SPIDER #7 is written by David Liss with Art by Ivan Rodriguez
Here's what you need to know about this story:
NEW STORY ARC! Police Commissioner Kirkpatrick lies dead. His wife grieves, and a twisted killer stalks the city. The Spider has inadvertently set into motion the chain of events that leads to his friend’s death, and now he’s out for bloody vengeance – Spider style! But will Richard Wentworth be able to resist the grieving window when she’s the woman he loves? It’s a game-changing issue of the neo-pulp sensation.

Have a wonderful Pulp Sunday, everyone :)

Cheers,
Francesco

NATIVE GROUND - A Lone Ranger tale

THE LONE RANGER #11 Cover
~~ Click on the image for biggie ~~

Hello Pulp Friends,

While I work today on the final cover of the NATIVE GROUND arc of the new LONE RANGER series, here's the latest cover (issue 11) which I hope you will all enjoy.

Once again, I can't recommend enough this amazing book by Ande Parks and Esteve Polls: the trade collecting the first 6 issue just came out and it's a must have if you missed the first issues.

A quick update: I have been under some tight deadlines so my focus was 100% on drawing pages, but now that I am taking a little breather, I 've been working on setting up a web based store for my books and prints in the hope to facilitate the process of ordering/purchasing for everyone.
That will be the place where you will be able to get the limited prints like my MONDO's CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON or other archival giclee art prints.
Stay tuned for link coming soon :).

Meanwhile, wish you all a wonderful Pulp Sunday :)

Cheers,
Francesco

LONE RANGER #6 Cover

Hello Pulp Friends :)

I can finally share this, my cover for LONE RANGER #6 and def one of my favorite covers I have done yet :)
Issue 6 will be the conclusion of ANde Parks and Esteve Polls first arc, titled HARD COUNTRY. This is a really good book which I hope you guys are pocking up.

Here's the solicts for #6:
The Hard Country arc comes to an end, as Lone Ranger is left to pick up the pieces of the town called Utopia. The Ranger faces a horrific truth at Marshal Dorsey’s ranch. Then, the villainous Marshal may be dead, but his gang still lives, and they want blood. As Tonto lies near death, Lone Ranger walks down Utopia’s main street alone, on his way to a final gunfight showdown.

Francesco

"Hi Ho Silver!" (aka Lone Ranger #3 Cover)

Lone Ranger #3 Cover

Hello Pulp Friends,

The new LONE RANGER series hits the stores today, so I thought to celbrate the event by sharing my cover for issue 3 :)
Of Course the "Silver" int he title of the post refers more to the color approach on this cover rather than LR's horse. Hope you guys dig it.

And ples go grab issue 1 in stores today: it's written by my friend Ande Parks and drawn by the excellent Esteve Polls, the same creative team that brought you the LR/Zorro mini few months ago, so you this is good :)

Cheers,
Francesco

Green Hornet Year One #12 & Lone Ranger/Zorro #1 Covers

Green Hornet Year One #12 Cover
~~ Click on the image for biggie ~~

Hello Pulp Friends,

Let's start a new year of pulp goodness with a double cover post that we can safely title: "Family Business" :)
Above is the cover for issue 12 of Matt Wagner's Green hornet Year One, which concludes the second arc of this critically acclaimed tale of the first year of operation of the GH and Kato.
And to keep it in the "family" the second cover (below) is for Green Hornet's gran gran pa: The Lone Ranger, here in the first crossover with another favorite of mine (and yours): Zorro.
Kato Origins #10 Cover
~~ Click on the image for biggie ~~
The crossover is a 4 issue mini written by Ande Parks and titled, sadly, "Death of Zorro". Don Diego is here in his late 60s and will ask for Lone Ranger help when things go bad.
Since Dynamite solicited the book, I read a lot of people thinking this mini means no more ZORRO YEAR ONE.
No worries, this is a completely different story, and last time I talked with Matt, he is still planning to pick up from were we left in issue 14. Zorro Year One is on hiatus but is not over :)

Have a wonderful Pulp Sunday everyone :)

Cheers,
Francesco
