Eevee -- Sun and Moon Pokemon Card Review

Eevee Sun and Moon Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Eevee from the Sun and Moon Pokemon Card Set.  Eevee is a Basic, Colorless type Pokemon card with a HP of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to Fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two Colorless Energy card retreat cost.  Eevee's Ability is called Energy Evolution and says that when you attach a Basic Energy card from your hand to Eevee, you may search your deck for a Pokemon that evolves from Eevee that is the same type as the Energy card you just attached and evolve Eevee into that Pokemon.  Besides the Ability, Eevee has just one move called Quick Draw, for one Colorless Energy card this move allows you to draw a card if you get a heads when flipping a coin.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Eevee is a Basic Pokemon card with multiple Stage 1 evolution forms, you'll definitely want to use this card with those Pokemon, both Espeon and Umbreon GX are in the Sun and Moon set and I've reviewed them in the past.  On its own, there is not much of a reason to use this card, since its Ability benefits a player using one of Eevee's evolution forms, and its only move is based off of a coin flip a can't do damage when attacking.  But, if your plan is to use this card with an evolution of Eevee, this card is very solid, since it makes it very easy to evolve Eevee into that Pokemon, all you have to do is attach an Energy card.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, on its own, without considering any of the Eeveelutions, this card is below average, but considering a Stage 1 evolution, this card is solid overall, and certainly a card you'd want to use in a deck.  So like I mentioned above, this card has no use on its own, but is good otherwise.

Eevee -- Ancient Origins Pokemon Card Review

Eevee Ancient Origins Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Eevee from the Ancient Origins Pokemon Card Set.  Eevee is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. Eevee does not have an Ability or an Ancient Trait but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Tackle and for one colorless energy card this move does 10 damage.  Eevee's second move is called Lunge, this move requires two colorless energy cards to use and does 30 damage, however you must flip a coin when using this move and if you get a tails the move does nothing.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Eevee is a basic Pokemon card with three Stage 1 evolution forms in this set, Vaporeon, Flareon, and Jolteon, you'll definitely want to use this card in a deck to get to those cards, all of the Eevee evolution cards in this deck I gave above average ratings and all three have amazing abilities on them, and should be a staple in decks in the metagame.  So knowing how good the evolution forms of Eevee are, I will now specifically look at Eevee.  So, after looking at Eevee in the overview section of this post, it is a solid start to this Pokemon family, you can put it into the active Pokemon spot to start the game since it can attack for one energy card and even do up to 30 damage a turn if you can't evolve it after your first turn.  But, if you have Eevee in your deck, it is probably because you want to evolve it to use one of its evolution forms' Ability, thus keeping it on the bench the whole time.  So overall, this card is good if it has to be put into the active Pokemon spot, but you'll probably never have to do that.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, on its own, without considering Jolteon, Vaporeon, or Flareon, this is an average Basic Pokemon card that is a solid first Pokemon in a very popular Pokemon line.  This card is just solid overall and won't make you immediately lose the game if you're forced to play it in the active Pokemon spot.

Eevee -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Eevee Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Eevee from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Eevee is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 50.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. Eevee's Ability is called Energy Evolution and says that when you place an energy card on Eevee, you may search your deck for the evolution that is the same type as the energy card you just attached, and evolve Eevee into that Pokemon.  Besides the Ability, Eevee just has one move called Gnaw, this move requires two colorless energy cards and does 10 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Eevee is a basic Pokemon card with many different stage 1 evolution cards in this set, you'll more than likely want to use this card with its evolutions.  Because I have reviewed all of the evolution cards already, you should just go back to my reviews of those cards to figure out if this Eevee card should be used with those cards, or if you should look to another set for an Eevee card.  With that being said, it is really a mute point on having to use this Eevee or another Eevee card, all you have to do is get Eevee into play, put an energy card on it, and use its Ability to evolve Eevee, because of this, you never really have to use Eevee at all, since you can always evolve it right away.  On its own however, I would not use this card in a deck because it has too slow of move that does below average damage and it also has a lower HP.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  If this card were to be used on its own I would give it a 1 rating, but if you plan on using this card with an evolution of Eevee, this card is much better because you can utilize its Ability and evolve it immediately.  So overall, if you are building a deck that includes at least 1 Eevee evolution, this card will work just perfectly for you.

Eevee #90/116 -- Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card Review

Eevee Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Eevee from the Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card Set.  This is the second Eevee card I have reviewed from this set.  This Eevee card is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Just like the other Eevee card in this set, it does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Signs of Evolution, this move requires one colorless energy card and allows you to search your deck for up to three different type evolutions of Eevee and put them into your hand.  Eevee's second move is called Bite, this move does 30 damage for three colorless energy cards.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Eevee has several stage 1 evolutions, many in this set, you'll more than likely want to pair this Eevee card up with one of those evolutions.  I have reviewed all the Eevee evolutions from this set and most of them are above average.  Because they are above average you'll have to use Eevee to get to those Pokemon in your deck, so if you are looking at one of the two Eevee cards from the Plasma Freeze set, I can honestly say that both are pretty bad.  However, if you have an Eevee evolution heavy deck, you'll want to use four Eevee in it, I would use 2 each of the two Eevees from this set.  I would try and move this card into the active Pokemon spot to start the game and then use Signs of Evolution to get as many Eevee evolution Pokemon into your hand as possible.  On its own, I would not recommend using this card because Signs of Evolution won't do anything and Bite is way below average damage to energy cost wise.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average basic Pokemon card.  Both Eevee cards from this set in my opinion are below average and I would look elsewhere to find an Eevee if you plan on using one of its evolutions.  Both cards from this set are equally as bad, so if you only have Eevee cards from the Plasma Freeze set to use I would use an equal amount of both in an Eevee evolution deck.

Eevee #89/116 -- Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card Review

Eevee Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Eevee from the Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card Set.  This is the first of two consecutive Eevee cards I'll be reviewing from this set.  Eevee is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Eevee does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Growl, this move requires one colorless energy card and reduces any damage done from your opponent's attacks during their next turn is reduced by 20.  Eevee's second move is called Quick Attack, this move requires two colorless energy cards and does 10 damage plus 10 more damage if you get a heads when you flip a coin.

Since I have reviewed all of those cards already, I'm going to lay out the strategy of using this card as though you're solely looking to use Eevee without one of its evolutions.  In tomorrow's review, I will be comparing both Eevee cards from this set and saying which one I would recommend more.  So if you plan on using this Eevee card in your deck, I wouldn't use many of them, I say this because even though Eevee has an average hp and average retreat cost, neither of its moves are that great for a basic Pokemon, so if you are using an Eevee evolution in your deck I would recommend keeping Eevee on your bench until it is evolved.  If you do move this card to the active Pokemon spot, I would use Quick Attack most turns unless Growl would prevent you from getting knocked out that next turn.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average basic Pokemon card.  So if you're looking to use an Eevee evolution in your deck, I would hope there are better Eevee cards out there than this one, and there are two in Dark Explorers and one other one from this set, so hopefully one of those cards are better than this one.  But if you have to, this card isn't the worst card in the world to use in your deck, I just wouldn't recommend this one.
