and sprucing up my fall window displays a little bit for thanksgivingwhile Prairie Guy and the boys "played around" outside (I swear it's just not work for a man when it involves a backhoe, dumptruck, tractor or heavy machinery of any type....) They brought in the hay;
babysat the tractor
does this face spell trouble or what?

THIS!!! We finally got our tenth anniversary present (we chose this in lieu of an anniversary get-a-way). And for those of you who know us, yes we have been married TWELVE years, and man, do I know it, patience is definitely a virtue!! We moved to the farm on our tenth and have had a few priorities (Like a bathtub big enough to lay down in and a shower you can actually stand up in just for starters ) to take care of prior to actually making this baby a reality. I am SO excited.
I spent some time just enjoying the animals they love their snuggles and they didn't get much this week with all my running.
The "lambs" are undistinguishable from the "ewes" right now.
next week they will make very nice lambchops on my ceramic platter.
Bella is keeping them all in line.
She has one of those "Ewe *will* look me in the eye when I'm talking to "ewe".... attitudes. Just some randomness from a saturday in our neck of the woods..... What are you all up to??

I am having a very lazy sunday (after our morning walk) allowing me time on the computer - thus being the first to comment (whew - what a run-on sentence!)
I love seeing your day. It's the next best thing to living on a farm myself - which I would dearly love.
Have a blessed week - all of you!
I'm so excited for you and that glorious hot tub of yours... what a great place for it!! And what a cute haircut on your darling girl. I bet she loves the 50 (or 100?) strokes now! Missing you.
What a wonderful treat to have a hot tub! I know about waiting for things... my husband is a bit of a perfectionist, so his projects always take a while, but they are so worth the wait!
Thanks for sharing your Saturday! By the way, my boys would love to play on that tractor :)
Blessings!
the photos of the peace post are so beautfilly surreal they make me think of the peace we will experience in heaven...one day...one day....and the hot tub...congrats on your wedding anniversary!
What a sweet hair cut your littlest woman has! The animals are rusticly romantic and the boys and their toys are precious! We are snuggling up together this weekend in our house and just trying to relax and enjoy one anothers company. Made lotsa food, made crafts with the kids, went for walks and kicked a ball around the yard:) It was for sure a FAMILY centered weekend for me and so I loved it:)
Prairie Poppet is all flustered about the compliments about her hair, she is quite tickled with the new do though ;D
And for the record, I have too many animals to keep them straight (or too many kids sucking my brain cells), I wrote Bella up there, but that's not Bella, it's Peso. Not that anyone knows or cares... but just for the record n' all =)
