BAT-BOOK!

Love this 1966 BATMAN vs. THE JOKER paperback from Signet!  Very cool that they added the small TV screen above the Batman logo that proclaims, "Now America's No. 1 TV Hero"!  8^)

I'm still enjoying this book tremendously!  "Hal Lifson's 1966!  A Personal View of The Coolest Year in Pop Culture History", by my pal, 1960s aficionado HAL LIFSON.  If you don't already have this book, I highly recommend it!  This ad promoted a book signing with Author HAL LIFSON and TV's Batman, ADAM WEST, at the Bookstar Bookstore in Studio City, CA back in 2003.

SHELDON MOLDOFF 1920-2012

Sorry to see that Golden Age and Silver Age comic book artist SHELDON MOLDOFF has passed away at 91. Moldoff is best known for drawing HAWKMAN and BATMAN for DC Comics. Here's a MOLDOFF piece that hangs in my office/studio. It was inked and colored by MITCH O'CONNELL.

INFANTINO!

Here's a great piece by one of my favorite Silver Age comic book artists, CARMINE INFANTINO! My favorite INFANTINO work is on BATMAN during 1966 and 1967.

ROBIN, THE BOY WONDER!

Busy with commission pieces right now! Here's something from my collection...it's the March 26-April 2 1966 Chicago Daily News TV listing guide. From ABC-TV's BATMAN, it's BURT WARD as ROBIN on the cover! ZOWIE!
