Christmas Tree Gift Tag

Happy Friday!!!! I hope you've had a wonderful week, and have big plans for the weekend! We do - we leave tomorrow to spend a few days in Indiana! Rest, relaxation, harvest time, and being away from the computer for a while. I can't WAIT! :D

This is a bit difficult to see, but this tag is made on our Silver foil paper. We stamped the tree in Always Artichoke, then embossed with clear embossing powder.  Because the Blendabilities are alcohol-based, we can color accessories and it won't rub off! So we colored pearls to use as ornaments. :) We put on a tree skirt with one, too. :D That's the main Cherry Cobbler marker, in case anyone was wondering.

Don't you love that tag punch? That's the Scalloped Punch Tag Topper. It made it SO easy!

OK, y'all, I'm OUTTA here. :D I hope you have a WONDERFUL day, and even better weekend. :D Make sure to take the time to stamp SOMEthing!

Card Remake!

Happy Friday!!!

I do apologize for the amount of time that's passed since I posted; life. Thank you for not totally abandoning me! :)

Today's card is one that I had done a similar card - at least the layout - and wanted to remake it because I really liked it. :)

So, I used the Blooming With Kindness stamp set, accented with the leaves from Lovely As A Tree, and the saying is from Trust God.

The colors are Tangelo Twist, Mossy Meadow, and Whisper White. After stamping the flower, I took my Aquapainter and just drew in the fill-in color from the stamped ink. That's the Curly Label Punch in the corner.

Simple, yet I think it's restful and lovely. :) What do you think?

OK, I'm outta here! Have a wonderful weekend, and be sure to take the time to STAMP something!!!!

Thinking of You Card

Happy New Year's Eve! How are you doing? Have you had a wonderful holiday season? Making resolutions for 2013? I have some goals, but I don't like "making resolutions"; it never seems to stick when I do that. :D

ANYWAY. I'm here with a quick share; this year is going out as crazily as it came in; we were gone 12 hours on Sunday, and I'm not gonna be home much today, either. Kenn and I are opening a show with our Lebanon group, S.P.A.M. (Sunnyside Performing Arts Ministry) on Thursday. Watch for more details! So it's gonna be a GOOD but busy week. :)

Wow. Talk about rabbit trails. LOL Let me see if I can tell you about this card before it happens again!

We did this card for my sister's party in Texas. The card stock colors are Very Vanilla, Cajun Craze, and Crumb Cake. We took a Crumb Cake ink pad and made the background quickly and painlessly; the "thinking of you" from TEENY TINY WISHES is stamped in Cajun Craze, and the tree is stamped with Garden Green. How easy was that?!?!?!

OK, I'm outta here. I need to design thank-you cards, desperately - so that will be happening this week. I've placed my pre-order for the new Occasions Mini, and also for Sale-a-bration!!!! Are you excited about them?!?!!? I so cannot wait to get my new toys, and there's SO much more I want! :D

Have a WONDERFUL day! Be sure and take the time to stamp SOMEthing! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

The Design That Didn't Make It

Good Wednesday! :) Hope you're having a great week! :) This post should be short and sweet compared to Monday's. :D

So. I haven't shown you the original swap design that I had almost done before I realized the stamp set was discontinued. And this isn't it, either. :D This is what I tried, to salvage ALL the card stock I had cut already! But I didn't like it ENOUGH to do a professional demo swap, you know?

Anyway. :D Here's the recipe; if you have ANY questions about how I did anything, please don't hesitate to ask!

Card stock: Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, So Saffron, Very Vanilla

Ink: Chocolate Chip Craft, Cajun Craze, Garden Green, So Saffron, Bashful Blue, Crumb Cake

Stamp sets: Lovely as a Tree, Teeny Tiny Wishes

Accessories: Big Shot, Woodgrain texturz folder, modern label punch, sponges, dimensionals, clear embossing powder, heat tool, SNAIL

That's it! :D Have a WONDERFUL day! Take the time to stamp something!!!!

SUDSOL Sketch Challenge Entry

Good FRIDAY Morning! Have you had a good week? I got notified today that the things I ordered for my prize are on their way here. I'm so excited! LOL!

Today, I'm showing off the card I made to meet the sketch challenge with SUDSOL this week. I really, really like it!

Now, I will tell you this: the red glitter paper scallop isn't securely stuck down. I'm out of Tombow Multi, so until I get it, there's not a lot that will make it stay down. But I really like this card!

Here's the "recipe" - if you have ANY questions about what I used, or what I did, please let me know!

Card stock: Whisper White, Real Red, Early Espresso, Silver Glitter Paper, Red Glitter Paper

Stamp sets: Lovely as a Tree, Come to Bethlehem

Ink: Whisper White craft, Always Artichoke

Accessories: Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker, 3/4" circle punch, white embossing powder, Embossing Buddy, heat tool, Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details, Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details, Snail, Dimensionals

The card's on an easel, and it's at my eye level, so the top of the card is slanting away - that's why it seems a bit fuzzy in focus. :)

OK, I'm OUTTA here! It's going to be a busy, wonderful weekend here - hope it is for you, too!!! And don't forget to make the time to stamp SOMEthing!

New Stamp Set

Good Wednesday Morning! Are you loving the weather?!?!?!?! I am. :D Cool and crisp, and suddenly I'm getting a hankering for soups and cozy PJs. :D

So, I got this brand-spankin'-new stamp set this weekend; you might have seen it in the Holiday Mini. :) It's SEASONAL SAYINGS, from page 34.

And I'm working on another post, and I see my scrap paper, and I think, "I need to make a fall card with these colors."

And here it is. Just for you. :)

Card stock: Whisper White, Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Bravo Burgundy

Ink: Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Bravo Burgundy

Stamp sets: SEASONAL SAYINGS, LOVELY AS A TREE

That's IT. Nothing special, nothing else. :) What do you think?

OK, I'm outta here! Have a WONDERFUL day!!! And be SURE to make the time to STAMP something!

Fall Card with Hostesses!

Good morning! How's the week going? Are you enjoying it? :)

Today's share is one we did at our Hostess Party on Friday night. It was our last night with our friend, Mary; I've mentioned that she's retired and moving to be near her son and his family. I'm thrilled for her, but I'm SO going to miss her!

Anyway. :) It's that lovely woodgrain embossing folder again, done on Soft Suede with Soft Suede ink "highlighting" the texture.

We stamped the leaf from LOVELY AS A TREE in Chocolate Chip craft ink, then embossed with clear powder. I like doing that, because it give me a little ridge when I'm using my Aqua Painters, so the color doesn't go all over the card stock. :)

We used a little bit of Smootch ink on the acorn after we colored it in with Soft Suede; I didn't like that SUPER dark look. The pearlized surface is really reflecting the light back, so you can't even tell it's been colored! :D

Add a little sponging around the outside of the focal piece of card stock, and there you have it! :) I really, really like the woodgrain!!!! (Not that you could tell or anything.... :D)

OK, I'm outta here! Have a WONDERFUL day, and be SURE to take the time to STAMP something!

Isn't it time for there to be HAPPY happenings?

I know you're getting tired of seeing them, but my need for sympathy cards continues. I liked that color combo so much last week, I decided to go there again. And I already had the woodgrain embossed piece. I used More Mustard on the leaves on the tree; some of it's more intense than the rest, which gives it that great varied look. I'm so glad Stampin' Up!®'s not gotten rid of LOVELY AS A TREE; it's a perfect set for sympathy cards.

If you have any questions about this card, please ask me! :)

Have a wonderful day! Be sure to stamp SOMETHING! (And send it to me! I need happy mail! LOL!)

More sympathy!

Good Friday Morning!

Well, I seem to be getting to that point in life where friends and family are either losing loved ones or being lost more often. :( So these types of cards are more necessary for my personal use than ever.

I really, REALLY like this one. It's the woodgrain on a scallop circle diecut card, with the ridges hit with Crumb Cake ink. The tree from LOVELY AS A TREE is embossed with Chocolate Chip craft ink and clear embossing powder, as is the "With Sympathy" from TEENY TINY WISHES. The banner is made with More Mustard; I used my Aqua Painters and Garden Green, Bashful Blue, More Mustard, and Crumb Cake inks to color in the medallion. I think this card is serene without being gloomy.

OK, I'm outta here. Rough week. Thank you for continuing to come to my blog! :) Doing things to share with you helps me stay connected.

So, now YOU take the time to STAMP SOMETHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Monday, June 11, 2012

Hi! Welcome to another Monday! :D I hope you had a great weekend, and got to spend a little time with your new Idea Book. :D It's the Monday before my birthday, so I'm scheming and planning on what I want to get.... :D

Today's card is a quick thank-you card I put together, but I really like it! That chevron pattern on the DSP (from SUMMER SMOOCHES) is big this year; there's also an embossing folder!

Each year, I continue to be amazed that LOVELY AS A TREE makes it another year. It's a completely classic set, and I can't imagine what could take its place. I guess SU! can't, either! :D The colors are Very Vanilla, Gumball Green, and Early Espresso. The other stamp set is Itty Bitty Banners, cut out with the framelit that matches. Easy! :)

Have a WONDERFUL week!!! Be sure and take the time to STAMP something!!!!

It's FRIDAY!!! Only THREE MORE WEEKS!

Are you getting excited about Christmas, or just exhausted? :D I don't know about you, but this first weekend is a killer. ROFL!!! Are you coming to visit me Sunday????

OK. Last project from IT'S A WRAP, as promised!

Again, the DSP is from Frostwood Lodge. The tree stamp's from LOVELY AS A TREE; "Season's Greetings" is from MANY MERRY MESSAGES. We made the scalloped edge with circle punches cut in half. I love Cherry Cobbler - it's SUCH a pretty color! :D

Well, today was also a teaching day plus meetings, so if I have survived, and if I survive the weekend, I'll see you Monday! :D

It's THURSDAY!

Almost time for my crazy weekend to start. :D Am I the only one who feels like my weekends need to settle DOWN? :D

Anyway. Today's card is one I made to show my newsletter recipients a tutorial on Poppin' Pastels. If you'd like to get my newsletter, just email me and let me know! :)

It's Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, and Ruby Red, with Stampin' Pastels and VersaMark. That's all I used!

Sign up if you want to see HOW I did it. :D Or book a party with me - Sale-a-bration's ONLY going on until the end of this month!

OK, I'm off to finish writing my newsletter. I hope.... :D Have a WONDERFUL day - and take the time to STAMP SOMETHING!!!!!!!

Are you having a great week?

This roller coaster called LIFE just never stops, does it! :D It's been an up-and-down week, but stampin' HELPS! :D

Today's card is a sympathy card from last week's Stamp-a-Stack. I really like its simplicity - and everyone really seemed to like it. The inside is stamped with two of the stamps from Close as a Memory; of course, this is Lovely as a Tree, one of my favorite stamp sets. :) Colors are Basic Gray, Sahara Sand, and Very Vanilla.

That's all I wanted to show you today! :D Tomorrow will be the last card from the SAS, and then I've got a really special card for you on Friday from last night's Advanced Techniques class. This weekend is Fancy Folds III, so if you haven't RSVP'd yet, DO IT NOW! :D

So much to show and do, only so many hours in the day.... :D Be SURE to take the time to STAMP something - the ink is flying around here! :D Have a fantastic day!

My, oh my! What a week!

Here we are on Thursday already! Can you believe it??? Things are really humming around here, while preparations for Saturday's Hostess Appreciation Luncheon are in full swing. It's too late to get a party in for THIS year, but I'm booking for the next year at this point!

There are now three branches of Stampin' Up! that we can have a party for completely separately for each branch - or combine them! We have the MY DIGITAL STUDIO, the regular Stampin' Up! line, and the Definitely Decorative line. More and more people are getting interested in what you can do with Definitely Decorative items! Contact me today to get on the calendar for the next year - especially during SALE-A-BRATION period!!!!!

Update on the Top Note Box tutorial I promised you: it's written, but it's going to take me a bit to get it up for you to order. :) I'll work on it over the weekend! If you can't wait, email me and let's talk! :D

OK. On to the card for today. :) This was one of the Christmas cards for last Saturday's Christmas card trio.

Card stock: Night of Navy, Whisper White, Handsome Hunter

Ink: Whisper White craft

Stamp sets: Lovely as a Tree, Many Merry Messages, Itty Bitty Backgrounds

Accessories: White embossing powder, embossing buddy, heat tool, Handsome Hunter and Close to Cocoa Stampin' Write markers, Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint (If you haven't ordered any of the shimmer paint yet, RUN TO ORDER SOME!! It's REALLY versatile, and really inexpensive!!)

Isn't it a restful card???? I really like it!

And tomorrow is week FOUR of the Twelve Weeks of Christmas. WOW, I can hardly believe it!!! Time is FLYING - I've got TO DO lists started for each week from now until mid-December! :D

OK, I'm off to keep working on making Saturday really special for my hostesses - but I'd love to hear from you! Have a WONDERFUL day - and be sure to take the time to STAMP something!

Happy FALL! :D

Christmas is coming SOOOOOOO quickly!!! But it's now FALL, and it's one of our favorite times of year around here. :) Not only is it that time of year, but the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge this week is fall. :D

So, today I'm giving you the two samples from my clubs this month - which also happen to fall into the FALL category. LOL! Tomorrow, I'll HOPEFULLY get out the camera and do another fall card from tonight's Fancy Folds II class. It turned out really beautifully!

Anyway. :D On to the show!

Stamp set: Lovely as a Tree

Accessories: ticket corner punch, sponges, dimensionals, Big Shot (I LOVE MY BIG SHOT!!), Perfect Details Texturz Plate (SU! exclusive, new this year!)

Another Challenge Card!

This one is from Becky P. I LOVE this stamp set, and am SO glad it hasn't retired yet - but that also surprises me. :D It's been around a LONG time. So, I'll enjoy it while it's with us. :)
ANYWAY. This one, I think I sent at least two colors of the card stock. Becky took it from there! :) I love the simplicity of the image, all the texture on it, and the embellishments that don't overpower but truly enhance the card.
Thank you, Becky! :)
So, what are YOU stamping?? I was supposed to be having an advanced techniques class tonight, but I must have picked an awful night - no one's coming! So I get a night off. :D That's a happy thing for me! I'm still stampin', tho, getting ready for all the classes I've got coming up. Trust me, that's a LOT. :D I can't WAIT to start everyone stamping for Christmas - cards, gifts, decorations!!! I've been listening to almost-exclusively Christmas music for about two weeks now. :D My husband's enjoying it, too. LOL!
That's it for today! I'd love to hear from you about ANYTHING. :D Have a wonderful day - and TAKE TIME TO STAMP SOMETHING!!!!
