MDS Monday - Celebrating Kenn

Happy Monday! Did you enjoy your weekend? Kenn and I are off on a little break; we'll be back at the end of the week. :)

ANYWAY. I wanted to share this project with you; Kenn's birthday was last week, and we had a get-together with friends who could join us that night. It was a small-ish crowd, but we had a good time, and Kenn's always blessed by being loved on. :D

I know the bottom bows are a LITTLE girlie, but I liked the texture the burlap gave it. :D

OK, I'm outta here! Have a wonderful day! Go try MY DIGITAL STUDIO, will ya?!?! It's a BLAST!

MDS Monday - March Snow

Happy Monday! Did you have a good weekend? Welcome to Passion Week.

So, do you remember that freak snowstorm we had here in middle TN, the one that started in Texas and swept over to drop even more snow on the East Coast? :D It didn't last too long, but it was absolutely breathtaking in its beauty that day. It would be sunny, and the trying-to-grow grass was kind of green - then BOOM! it would go dark, and the snowflakes would start falling, fat and furious. Kenn's been working like mad this spring, but her happened to be home that morning. We spent about 10-15 minutes shooting snow, the birds, and whatever else happened to pop in front of our lenses. :D

Here, I've used one of my shots, blown up and taken to 50% transparency, as the background paper. It was too fun NOT to use. :)

OK, I'm outta here! :) Have a wonderful day! Be sure to make the time to stamp SOMEthing! :)

MDS Monday - Kenn in 2013

HAPPY MONDAY! :) Did you have a good weekend??

This is gonna be a quick post; I had to find a sketch I liked, and then scrap this to show you. I'm tired of SITTING. :D

We had some special times last year, Kenn and I. It was a CRAZY, whirlwind year, but he still takes my breath away after 17 years. :) So I wanted to scrap a few of my favorite shots from the year.

Just throwing in a little patterned paper jazzed everything up, kept it masculine but fun. What do you think?

OK, I'm outta here! I hope you've tried MDS by now - you can try it for 30 days for free, you know!!! Have a wonderful day! Be sure and take the time to STAMP something! :)

Kenn's birthday card :)

Hi, everyone! Wednesday was Kenn's birthday, but he had to work the WHOLE day, so we celebrated with my parents on Thursday. Because he loves sunsets and cornflowers, I wanted to make him a unique card. :) The original technique comes from Technique Junkies - Pat's wonderful!!! Tell her I sent you. :D

Card stocks: YoYo Yellow, Basic Black, Whisper White

Inks: Garden Green, Bordering Blue, YoYo Yellow, Ruby Red, Basic Black

Stamp set: Inspired by Nature

Accessories: black embossing powder, embossing buddy, brayer, white embossing powder, copy paper

I really am pleased with the way this turned out. :) He loves bright colors, and I think this card was pretty special.

I mean, he's pretty special, too, ya know. :D

Enjoy your time - and don't forget to stop and smell the chrysanthemums - since they're in bloom. :D Oh, and PLEASE. Take the time to STAMP something!

Come on over!

What do you say?? Give me a buzz tonight, and say, "I want some of that beautiful cake!" :D Kenn requested a pineapple upside-down cake, and here it is, fresh from the oven. I didn't get it centered on the plate, and tried to push it over - that's why you can see a huge crack up the left corner. OH, WELL. :D
I'd love to sit down and chat with each one of you, to enjoy the person YOU are, and to develop our friendship. If you get a chance to meet me in person (if you don't know me already!:D), I'd SO love to do that!!! If you're one of my dear friends/customers already, I'd love to spend some one-on-one time with you. Just drop me a line, and let's get it on the calendar! I want to spend 2008 enjoying more of life, instead of wondering where it went! :D
That's a GOAL for me. I don't do resolutions; there's nothing to say it's what I want to accomplish. So, what do you want to accomplish in 2008? Let's hear some ideas; there might be a prize in it for someone.... :)
