Lacy Christmas Flowers

Had a leftover piece of background paper so pulled out some more dies to get one more Christmas card made.

I've used Magnolia DooHickey dies for all but the corners which are Nellie Snellen.

The DooHickey dies are from Magnolia-licious:
#17 SNOWFLAKE AND MISTLETOE DIE-snowflake
#22 VINTAGE FLOWERS AND LEAVES DIE-flowers
#34 WILD STRAWBERRY AND FLOWERS DIE-leaf
#6 BON VOYAGE FOLIAGE DIE-leaf
#8 DOILEY FLOWERS

Sorry the doily flowers are out of stock right now, but the #2 PEONY DOOHICKEY DIES would work as well for this flower.

Also Diana is carrying Marianne Designs dies!  You can order them HERE!

AND the Memory Box dies will be in shortly too!  Find those HERE!  You can preorder these right now.
The words are from an Inkadinkadoo stamp set, and I've added ribbon and some red bling!

This is just a quick post because I'm supposed to be cleaning for Thanksgiving tomorrow, but of course, making cards is much more fun!!!

Wishing everyone a fun, safe and fabulous Thanksgiving!!!
Enjoy every day!

You Make Me Smile

When you make a card, do you have lots of extra pieces that you don't use?  When I was doing the last Magnolia-licious Highlites challenge, I had this idea for a card and when I put it all together, it was waaaaay toooo much stuff!!!  So ripped it apart (something I do often!!!)  and used the pieces to create two cards instead.  The one card I used for the challenge, but thought I would post this one too.

Loved the challenge that Diana came up with to do the Black and White with Pop and first thought was to use red or pink, but wanted to go with something different and used teal.  Of course, I am such a fan of dies, so used a variety of these here.  All things Magnolia are HERE at Magnolia-licious.

#18 ROSE LEAF DOOHICKEY DIE
#20 ROMANTIC LACE BORDER DOOHICKEY DIE
#22 VINTAGE FLOWERS AND LEAVES DOOHICKEY DIE
#4 LEAF AND SWIRL DOOHICKEY DIES
#9 DRAGONFLIES DOOHICKEY DIES
#8 DOILY FLOWERS DOOHICKEY DIES
MINI #3088 LYING TILDA

Some of the dies are on reorder but HERE is a direct link to all the dies.
The lacy doily is a Cheery Lynn die.  The stamps are JustRite, corner punch is Creative Memories, Spellbinders dies, background paper is Stampin' Up! and some cabochon stones for bling.
This new Sweet Rainbow Collection has so many adorable images.  This is the mini version that is just the right size to add for a little cuteness!!!  Lying Tilda is colored with alcohol markers.

Enjoy every day!

Black and White with a color to POP!

Hope you are enjoying the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog hop!  As you've probably already found out by now the challenge is to create a project using Black and White with a color to Pop!  If you've come from the talented Cheryl Rowley's blog, you are going in order!  The entire list of names and details of the hop are HERE at Magnolia-licious Highlites.

I've used  #277 Bon Voyage Tilda and the #7 Old Swedish Lace DooHickey Die both I got from Diana's terrific store Magnolia-licious!  The bow was made with the Bow Easy, another handy dandy tool to make bow making so much easier!

Worked with some old and new things which also made it fun.  Colored Tilda with alcohol markers, used a Marianne die along with an old Posh Impression corner punch, Punch Bunch butterfly and sun punches, EK flower punch and added ribbon and cabochon stones for a little bling.  The printed background paper is Stampin' Up.
Can't wait to see what the other design team gals have created.  Hope you will also take up this fun challenge and enter your creation too!  I'm sure you won't want to miss the next stop....Angie Hunt will no doubt have something fantastic for you to see!

Enjoy every day!  Thanks for stopping by and as always so appreciate your comments!

Graduation Time for the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge

Since June is known for graduations, I figured it is a good time to use the mini graduation stamps.  The talented Janiel is our hostess this month and has challenged us to use only mini Magnolia's on our projects for the Magnolia-licious Highlites DT Challenge.

This is the inside of the graduation hat card and gift holder.  Simple and plain, but does the trick.  Money or a gift card can be tucked into the pocket on the bottom.

I've used Mini #295 Graduation Tilda, Mini #705 Dreams and Goals and Mini #701 Congratulations! which you will find at the outstanding store of Diana....Magnolia-licious.

Have also used Spellbinders dies and some gold star stickers.  Tilda is watercolored with Distress Inks.

This is the front of the card.  I colored a silver brad with a navy blue alcohol marker to get the right color and added a gold tassel.

These two photos show how the card collapses to become flat.  No 3D flowers on this one!!!

I'm sorry, I did not mark down where I originally got the idea.  Probably Splitcoast Stampers, but here is a diagram of how the card is made.
The bottom layer is made by overlapping and adhering the two pieces on either side of the cut line.  The back panel piece is only adhered onto the upper triangle piece.  The Scor-Pal is ideal for making these score lines.

Hope you will join the challenge of using only Mini Magnolia's on your project and link it HERE at the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog.  You can also check out what fabulous prize you could win!

Enjoy every day!

Mini Sweet Tilda

Sweet Tilda is such a cutie image.  As I've said before, love these minis to add to the A2 size cards (4 1/4" x 5 1/2").

You can find Mini Sweet Tilda HERE at Diana's Magnolia-licious.  Best place to get your Magnolia stamps for both the excellent prices and wonderful customer service.

Also used dies from Spellbinders-ovals and Cuttlebug corners and flower and leaf punches from Punch Bunch.  Watercolored Tilda with Distress Inks and added stardust and white gel pens plus Ranger Enamel Accents for the centers of the flowers.
Hope everyone has a wonderful and safe weekend!
Enjoy every day!

Wedding Day Blog Hop

Today is the Magnolia-licious Highlites WEDDING DAY blog hop!  If you have arrived from the Master of Cute Angie Hunt’s blog, you have come down the aisle to the right spot.  If you came on your own, you will want to check out all the wonderful Wedding Day projects from the Design Team starting HERE to start at the beginning and get the details.

The challenge is to create a wedding card and also a wedding project with of course Magnolia stamps and also using the Scor-Pal or Scor-Buddy.  With so many great project directions on the site, it was hard to choose, but I picked both a fun card and a box.

The Magnolia products that I used between both projects are from Diana at Magnolia-licious.  You'll want to shop at her store for the best service and nicest people!!!
#533 LOVING BORDER
First is the card which was designed by Cambria Turnbow and the directions are HERE at the Scor-Pal site.
Used three of the papers from the wedding collection, inked the edges with antique linen distress ink and matted them with gold metallic card stock frames.  Also used the gold metallic card stock for the ovals cut from Spellbinders dies and the Sizzlet scallop heart die.

Colored the bridal couple with distress inks and the words are computer generated.  “Love” is a Sizzlet die.
The flowers and leaves are made with the Magnolia Vintage Flowers and Leaves dies plus a mini sun punch for the center of the flowers.

Accents are amber rhinestones, gold cord, and the tiny hearts are the punch outs from the Magnolia Romantic Lace Border I used on the box.

TIP:  Although I kept the flowers flat, with all the matting, it became quite thick to fold up.  So a tip if you are going to make it this thick, probably do a double scoring about 1/8” in between sections.  It will take some figuring, but then it will close properly!!!
Then there is the Marriage Advice box!  This would make a great little extra to have on the table next to the guest book.  This is for the guests to give their little tidbits of wisdom to the new couple of how to achieve marital bliss!!!

The box pattern directions are HERE at the Scor-Pal site.
Using most of the same things from the card, I did add the Romantic Lace Border in the gold metallic card stock around the bottom of the box plus added a Stampin’ Up! hardware frame and brads.  The note cards inside the box are stamped in gold ink with the Loving Border stamp and the edges sponged with Antique Linen Distress Ink.
Now to continue on down the aisle, you will want to go to the Fabulously Creative Sharon to see what wonderful projects she has created!

Thanks for stopping by!!!
Enjoy every day!!!

Tulle Skirt Tilda Heart Easel Card and More Minis!

Have been wanting to do a heart shaped easel card for some time, so finally got around to doing it.  This is for the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge for February with the recipe being Hearts, Pink, White, Silver and Green if needed for leaves.  Even if we didn't want to make a valentine, this theme would still work for a wedding card too!

I used the adorable #210 Tulle Skirt Tilda.  Please let Diana know at Magnolia-licious if you are interested in getting her.  She is from the 2010 Wedding Collection.  Tilda is colored with ProMarkers and Touch pens and I used a variety of dies from Spellbinder, the scrolls and leaves on the bottom part are Marianne Design dies.  Also a couple of Punch Bunch punches were used for the flowers and leaves.  The embossing folder is a Tim Holz design and of course added white gel pen and pearls.  The Valentine sentiment was from JoAnn's from the $1 bin!  The colors on Tilda actually match better in real life then they show on the photo.  I've also used a metallic mirror silver for the hearts and scallop oval.

My husband's birthday is on Valentine's day, but I don't think I'm going to get by giving him this one!!!  Going to have to work on something in John Deere green I think!!!

Recently have been working on tags with some more of the mini images from Magnolia Mini World for Diana to take to CHA.   They have been so fun to do and really enjoyed doing them!  Loved doing the ones that can be used for Easter.  Check out Little Bunny Tilda and the little accessory images!!!  Sooooo cute!!!!

Shaker Silent Night Tilda

This was another fun project that the very nice Barb Hardeman has challenged the Magnolia-licious Design Team to make for this month's Sketch Project.

The Magnolia things I used are from Diana at her wonderful store Magnolia-licious.

I've watercolored Tilda with Distress Inks, embellished with the white gel pen and stardust pen. Added acetate to a Spellbinder frame then popped up with foam tape to make the shaker part for the crystal snowflakes.

#3018 Silent Night Tilda
#00 Light Pink Chandelier Glass
Something Old, Something New Wedding Collection Paper
Gold Metallic Cardstock
Acetate
Spellbinders-Scalloped Edge Frame
Distress Inks-Tattered Rose, Tea Dye, Vintage Photo, Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Bundled Sage, Pumice Stone, Antique Linen
Jesse James & Co. Dress It Up Crystal Snowflakes
Gold Zig Painty Pen
White Gel Pen
Stardust Pen
Ribbon
Foam Tape and Glue Dots
Just a thought that came after I had put the card together. The #645 Silent Night Background would have been ideal to stamp in the background behind Tilda in a light gold metallic ink.

You can also play along too! Check out all the Design Team projects HERE at Magnolia-licious Highlites and see what you need to do to submit your project. It is not only fun, but you can possibly win some free stamps from Magnolia-licious!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy every day!!!

Wild Honey Tilda

A quick posting here of Circus Tilda and the Carousel Horse, not the traditional colors you would think they might be, but thought these were appropriate for the fall season. Lovin' the Wild Honey color. Colored them with Distress Inks and used some papers out of my stash.

#367 CIRCUS TILDA
# 433 CAROUSEL HORSE
#703 JUST SITTIN' HERE THINKING OF YOU
Distress Inks: Tattered Rose, Wild Honey, Scattered Straw, Rusty Hinge, Pumice Stone, Walnut Stain, Brushed Corduroy
Martha Stewart Hydrangea Punch
Punch Bunch Twig Punch
Cuttlebug Corner Die
Rhinestones

You can find the Magnolia Stamps HERE at Magnolia-licious. Circus Tilda is on reorder right now, so Diana will be getting her back in again soon. She is so sweet and the horse is just adorable! Added the Just Sittin' Here Thinking of You stamp because then the card can be used for many occasions.

Thanks for checking in and enjoy the day!

Pearlized DooHickeys

I based this on a wedding card I recently made, but wanted to use the awesome Magnolia DooHickey dies. Love the lacey flower, snowflake, leaves and the cute little dragonfly. With the pearlized paper and of course being all white, the photo didn't work very well with my lighting, but will have to try in natural light and see if I can make it show up better.

The pearlized paper has a little design to it too. All the dies are available from that nice Diana at Magnolia-licious. Click HERE to go to the store.

#17 Snowflake/Mistletoe
#6 Bon Voyage Foliage
#7 Old Swedish Lace
#8 Doily Flowers
#9 Dragonflies
Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder
Pearl

A tip when using the dies, if you have trouble with the paper sticking in the die, use a piece of wax paper between the die and paper. I've been able to leave the wax paper in the die, but if it comes out, it still helps make the paper come out easier.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the day!!!

William's Bag of Candy

Well darling William needed a bag to hold all the candy he is going to get!  He is so cute with that toothy grin innocently standing there with a flower, but then you can imagine how mischievous he probably is too with that slingshot in his pocket!!!

The Magnolia-licious DT has the October Sketch Project up at Magnolia-licious Highlites.  Thanks to Angie who is hosting and challenging us to create projects that are both Fall themed AND use a brown paper lunch bag!  Hope you will join us and create a project too.  The kind Diana from Magnolia-licious has offered another wonderful prize too, so check out the details here.

Since I used the cutie Martha from the Magnolia Goblin Collection the last time, couldn't leave William out!  Yes, I did determine he has a tail, so colored it to match his hair!  Thanks to those that contributed their ideas!!!

Paper Bag
Sizzix Die House
Misc. Papers and Card Stock

Good Witch Tilda

The Magnolia-licious Highlites Brooms and Bats Blog Hop was so much fun, just had to work on another Halloween card.  Thanks to all for hopping along and also leaving the great comments!  I really appreciate that!  Seems like I managed to fool a few of you by using Goblin Martha!  Yup, she is a Magnolia stamp!   She is a real different looking character isn't she???  Had quite a few interesting takes on William too!    I'm working on a project with him, so you'll be able to see my take soon!  Is it a flower???  Is it a tail???  Or something else????

Had a Sizzix Witches, Hat, Broom and Shoes die and just had to try them on Tilda!  These are a little oversized for Tilda, but that makes it all the more fun!!!  Not much coloring on this one, did paper piecing for the hair, dress and socks.  Used the appropriately named Spellcaster Tilda and you can find her HERE at Diana's Magnolia-licious store!

The papers are some older ones I had from Reminisce.  The cat and zigzag border along with the "Trick or Treat and Happy Halloween" were cut from the papers.  The bats are from a Punch Bunch punch.  Embossed the orange background with the spots and dots Cuttlebug embossing folder and accented things with the Stardust and white gel pens.

Thanks for checking in!
Enjoy every day!!!

Tilda Ready to Travel

Here is my Design Team project for the September Challenge on Magnolia-licious Highlites.  Becca Feeken came up with a fun challenge of using one of the new Bon Voyage Stamps and a suitcase or backpack.  I've taken Suzanne Dean's cute gift card suitcase pattern and enlarged it to fit an A2 card.

Water colored the Tilda's with Distress Inks and used a couple of the DooHickey dies.  The pretty paper is from Magnolia too.  Did use a bit more embellishments on this project than the last!!!   :)  Used ribbon for the handle and attached with silver brads.  Sponged some white acrylic paint along the edges of the paper and the tag die cuts.  Embossed the tags with the Swiss Dots embossing folder and now wished I would have also done the scallop circle corners too.  Maybe next time!

Supplies:
 #215 Farewell Tilda
#738 See You Later
#1407 Dragonfly
#384 Jam Tilda
#1 Vintage Tag DooHickey die
#7 Old Swedish Lace DooHickey die
Bon Voyage Paper Pack
Nestability Scallop Circle Die
Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.
Ribbon
Pearls
Silver Brads-Stampin' Up!
White Glaze Pen
Scor-Pal
White acrylic paint

Please check with the very nice Diana for all the Magnolia products here at the Magnolia-licious store.  Lots of new stamps, papers and dies to add to our Maggie collections!!!

This project couldn't have been easier with the use of the Scor-Pal.   Diana is the creator of this fabulous tool and with Suzanne's easy directions, my first try of this box turned out perfectly!   You can find the Scor-Pals along with the new must have Scor-Buddy here.

My dimensions for the larger suitcase are:  7 3/4" x 12"
Score your card stock on the short side (7 3/4") at 1" and 6 3/4"
Score your card stock on the long side  (12")     at  1", 5 1/2", 6 1/2", and 11"

Hope you will give this challenge a try!  It was lots of fun and just think of the possibilities!!!

Enjoy every day!!!
