Bollywood Holiday Gala

This annual holiday gala at the Seattle Waterfront Marriott takes on a new theme every year. From Disco, to Wonka - this year is was all about Bollywood!

Grand Entry
Transporting guests into a Bollywood world right from the start, a vibrant archway of pink satin with sheer iridescent orange drapery was the first bright thing they saw! Gold tassels and carved wooden screen accented the lush entry.

Cocktail Reception
A triple canopy in sheer iridescent orange drapery flowed through the reception, and was centered with the entry into the ballroom. Two lounges sat underneath featuring rattan seating with embroidered pillows.

The room was draped floor to ceiling in apple green dupioni with pullbacks revealing stripes of pink, plum, yellow, and orange satin drapery.

Cocktail tables were dressed in bright fuchsia crush linens with marigold underlays. Assorted glass and metal lanterns illuminated every surface with loose floral.

Dinning Room
At 7:30 a musical trio began to play and the drapes were pulled back to reveal the dinning room extravaganza!

The ballroom was draped in stripes of pink, plum, yellow, and orange satin drapery. The stage was highlighted with a grand display of green iridescent arches with gold tassels. The green drapery also accented the exits and service entrances of the room.

Tables were adorned in alternating linen combos of orange crush over marigold underlays with gold chair covers and fuchsia embroidered ties, or lime green crush linens over marigold underlays with gold chair covers and teal embroidered ties.

Centerpieces were collections of Indian lanterns on mirror trays with mercury glass votives, or on wrought iron stands for height. Scatterings of rose petals, purple orchids, and orange marigold style carnations embellished the bases.

Custom programs were designed by PJ Hummel & Company with a delightful Indian flair. Long skinny cards were wrapped in shorted orange cards and tied with gold tassels!

Completing the the night, a photo-op with a baby elephant was set in the foyer for guests to remember the evening!

Bollywood Gala!

Every year Annie Wright School comes up with an elaborate theme for their annual Gator Gala, and this past March we were all about Bollywood!

The foyer was an enchanting box-office with festoon and lantern lighting, painted star backdrops and colorful drapery.

The ballroom was covered floor to ceiling in vibrant purple drapery with lush pull backs revealing another color framed in festoon lighting. A custom three tier chandelier was constructed with 30 large cloth Indian lanterns that dazzled as the focal point of the room! Each seat was fitted with a metallic GOLD cover and embellished with embroidered ties. Every other table had a centerpiece of Indian Glass lanterns on a mirror tray with loose floral and tea lights. The other tables had light-boxes showcasing auction glass.

How to turn a concert venue into a Speakeasy!

Here is an opulent art-deco speakeasy theme at Showbox Sodo here in Seattle. Guests entered through a traditional “backdoor-hidden” archway with authentic old whiskey bottles and barrels.

Once inside, the main stage was decked out in Egyptian flair with teal and metallic gold drapery against a vintage backdrop. Large cream columns were set to each side, each topped with teal & gold bands and large gilded palm leaves bursting from the tops!

The intimate Deco Dance Lounge was raised on a platform and detailed in hues of copper and tiffany blue with iridescent sheep drapery, vintage Persian rugs, decorative throw pillows, decadent wainscoting, and touches of orchids.

Enveloped in velvet, VIP guests enjoyed lounging on vintage furniture under a canopy of striped sheer burgundy and black satin drapery. Underfoot, a vintage Persian carpet added elegance along with live palm trees, antique steamer trunks as cocktail tables, and a mahogany sofa table for old world charm.

To complete the speakeasy theme, a jail photo-op was on display to rile-up guests!

Every piece of decor for this event came strait from our warehouse and was expertly assembled by our creative production team.

Willy Wonka Holiday

A Willy Wonka holiday party featuring The Chocolate Lounge, and a magnificent Wonka Ballroom! We went for a sultry dark color pallet when designing this event. Rich velvets and metallic gold around every turn!

~

The chocolate archway into the Chocolate Lounge, the first stop for guests at this Willy Wonka themed holiday gala. With a purple runner and over-sized poppies and mushrooms, guests knew they were in for a treat!

The Chocolate Lounge was draped floor to ceiling in brown satin, and jazzed up with chocolate crush linens, chocolate bars, a stunning backdrop of Willy Wonka's candy garden, and velvet lounges!

The Chocolate Lounge featured two seating areas with a delicious mix of velvet and purple leather shag rugs.

Mercury glass votives were embellished with bright green moss and cinnamon candies in the Chocolate Lounge.

Two mahogany bars serves chocolate specialty cocktails in front of a grand backdrop of Wonka's candy garden.

Over-sized mushrooms added a touch of whimsy to each vignette.

An iridescent burgundy sheer wall teased guests during the cocktail hour before they could enter the main ballroom.

The main ballroom was a show stopper with metallic GOLD chair-covers, candy centerpieces, royal purple walls, and lush accents of crimson.

Gold chair-covers fit for Wonka royalty, and metal tree candelabras with hanging votives and candy garland.

The stage was striped in red, chocolate brown, and purple.

Yarn-ball candy topiarys embellished half the the dinning tables with a lovely accent of green!

Yes there were Golden Tickets too! In-house we custom designed these delightful programs and had them printed on metallic gold paper!

A purple candy garden photo-op sat just outside the event!
