The Hangman's Tree...

...or... the Smashing Pumpkins... **groan** I know, I know... I have been wanting to use that name ever since I got converted to all things Hallowe'eny earlier this month... is it really only a day til Hallowe'en??? I got a "joke" on my moby last night... a lovely kind... *ahem*, friend said that they were having a Hallowe'en party and would I do them a favour and come around and look through the window to scare the... erm... *moderates the text to non nawty words* pants off them.... cheek of it... I will be faaaaaar too busy... flying on my broomstick and cackling ROFL

Anyways... all that waffling again... today's offering is... a double whammy... it is my day for The Artistic Stamper Creative Team and I am going to enter this piece into the Simon Says Stamp & Show challenge.. .which this week is Spookay. So... all the deets about how I maded this piece are HERE - with more pics too... but please, tell me here... what do you think of my pumpkins? *no matter how many times I try to type that, it still sounds vaguely rude!!* I loooooove my pumpkins... and my Fly Agaric too... oooh, yes indeedily, I got very carried away with this clay modelling and made some toadstools... ah, yes, which reminds me... did I ever tell you I used to have a boyfriend who was a toadstool? Yes, he was.. a really... fun~gi!!! (oh dear, shall I go and sit in the corner ROFL)

I have to admit... the pumpkins did have a little teeeeeensy bit of help... my hands aren't what they used to be and that Fimo stuff can be a bit hard to get pliable... so in stepped my hero Grim, to assist in the Fimo neading stage. I stank the house out cooking the pumpkins and toadstools too... I don't that that those whizzy halogen ovens are the right thing to be cooking Fimo in, but it worked... mind you, saying that... reading back what I have just typed... mmm, maybe those fumes got to my head!! I have to say... THANK YOU to Joanne... for sending me the FAB skelingtons... as soon as I saw them I knew that they would be playing with Art Parts *speaking of which - I LURVE these!!!*... and also Lynn Stevens for helping me to release my inner witch :O)) Right, time for bed... late night tonight *gotta make sure the old broomstick is ready and waiting... and... just for Linda... which witch is the witchy which witch?* ;o)) Thanks for looking and have a very goodly weekend... oh and... don't forget.. new Sunday Stamper theme will be here tomorrow... I haven't got a clue what the theme is... but I will make it a nice one LOL TTFN

Sunday Stamper - Week 76 - Monster Mash

Morning Stampers!

Thanks for joining in with the challenge last week...this week the new challenge is Hallowe'en being as it is Hallowe'en next Saturday and I have a Stampotique stamp I have been itching to use LOL

I got a bit carried away with my entries and made three things for this weeks challenge! I started off by colouring some glossy cardstock with Alcohol Inks, using mainly Sunset Orange and Pitch Black, splodgy on with a tool and also dripping on and blasting with a can of spray air.

The frame was prepped with Rock Candy Cracklepaint and then spritzed with Tiger Lily and Mimosa Glimmer Mists. I added some Grungeboard shapes which were jazzed up with Rock Candy Stickles. The main part of the inside of the frame was made with the glossy card and some Nestie shapes which were then embossed thru the Bug. I made a collage with some Inkadinkado stamps for the background and then made a mini frame for Mort with a Pin Curl.

The card was made with some more of the Alcohol Inked card, stamped with a variety of Inkadinkado stamps and then I added little Mort with a Pin Curl..isn't he just the sweetest??? Look at his little fangs!!!

The ATC was made more or less in the same way and I added a little pumpkin charm attached with a brad.

To join in with the challenge, all you need to do is make a piece of art, include the theme and some stamping and then leave a comment for me with a link to the place you are showing your creation :O))

Thanks for looking and have a great week

Bat & Bones

...Another cheaty ATC today...made using mountboard for a base and attached to...the cutest little hanger in the world...which I bought from Homespun Hearts.

I used Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink to colour the background and then a Tim Holtz ATC stamp, stamping with Black Soot. I edged the ATC with Black Soot too and then punched a couple of holes and added eyelets and jumprings for attaching to the hanger.

I added some Grungeboard shapes which I also coloured with Distress Inks and then finally, added Glossy Accents to the Skelington and bats, layered up another couple of bats onto it and added some Rock Candy Stickles to the middle of the incy wincy web....see, I am being so thoughtful, not mentioning spiders again LOL

I am a tad excited today...actually, more than a tad really...I am going to the Artsy Crafts weekend and I cannot wait!! So, I will be scheduling a post for tomorrow and also the Sunday Stamper too..so please check back on Sunday morning for the new theme!

Have fun :O))

Hallowe'en Hanging

...Over on The Darkside Challenge blog they have a brand new theme...and it is to make a Hallowe'en decoration;

I made this a few weeks ago and it has been....s'cuse the pun...just hanging about. I am going to pop it in the porch on Hallowe'en so all the little ones know they are allowed to ring the bell and then get some treats :O)) I loooove Hallowe'en - and wish that it was as big in the UK as it is in the USA...mind you, it is getting that way now...when I am far too old .. and far too fat to fit into a skelington costume ROFL

The base for this is a page from a Grungeboard book, chopped across the top to make it into a hangy thing. The colours of Distress Inks are; Fired Brick, Spiced Marmalade and Walnut Stain. I made this before I got my Rock Candy Cracklepaint...so I had to use Crackle Accents on the raven to make him pop a little...next time I will use the Rock Candy...it is sooo much better! The bits n bobs are Grungeboard shapes and the stamps are mainly Tim Holtz collection and an Inkadinkado spidery one too.

Thanks for a FAB challenge girls..I loooooove it!! *Am I cheating cos this was made ages ago? P'raps I should go and make something else Hallowe'eny to make up for it!!!*
