Pretty in Green

With St. Patrick's Day quickly approaching I thought it was about time to break out some green polishes! I don't tend to gravitate towards green polishes often but every time I do them I question why that is because I LOVE them! And I got to use some Stick It! Nail Vinyls Multi Clover Stencils for the first time and the final product? Brilliant!

I started off with a base of Blackheart Beauty Jealous Type on my index, middle, and pinky nails and Color Club Kismet on my ring and thumb nails. When the polishes were dry I appliled the Multi Clover Stencils over each nail and sponged over them with Color Club Kismet on my index, middle, and pink nails and Blackheart Beauty Jealous Type on my ring and thumb nails. I removed the stencils and sealed everything in with a coat of Seche Vite and that was it!

I have to say I've never been the biggest fan of St. Patrick's Day, I don't not like it but more often then not it passes without me even noticing ;) BUT! These nails are super cool and hey who knows, maybe I'll even celebrate this year!

What do you guys think?

HEART beat

Hi guys!

I'm loving on these Valentine's Day looks! The one is super unique and it was so much fun to create!

I started with a base of Color Club Miss Bliss. Then I stamped over each nail using Mundo De Unas White and Pink and Bundle Monster plate BM-319. Then I stamped over each nail using my Clear Jelly Stamper, Born Pretty Store Black and Bundle Monster plate BM-411. Finally I sealed everything in with Seche Vite and that was it!

I know a lot of people have mixed feelings about Valentines Day but I hope that we can all agree that pink nails and hearts can be worn all year long! ;)

Houndstooth Vinyls

Hey guys!

I'm super excited to share these nails with you because I am SO happy with them!

I've never created a houndstooth design besides stamping it on my nails, the idea of houndstooth vinyls were so intriguing to me I couldn't wait to give them a shot and MAN do I love them!

I want to note that these vinyls are brand new from Stick It! Nail Vinyls and not released yet but keep an eye on her Instagram because I think they will be releasing soon! Let's get this look started :)

I started with a base of Color Club Cosmic Fate and applied the vinyls onto each nail. Then I painted over the vinyls with Mundo De Unas Brown. I peeled off the vinyl and created a triangle shape near my cuticle with China Glaze Mingle With Kringle and outlined it with Wet n Wild Black Creme. I sealed it all in with some Seche Vite and that was it!

I really am so in love with these! Houndstooth is such a fun design and I wish I used it more often. This look makes me feel so Thanksgiving-ish and SO ready for some turkey! ;)

Skulls and Glitter

Hey guys!

I can't believe how close Halloween is! I feel like I had so many more spooky designs I wanted to create, but there's just not enough time in the day T.T But latest I got to do this one, a sparkly and spooky skull design! Want to check it out?

I started with a base of Color Club Beyond on my pointer and middle nails and a base of China Glaze Just Be Claws on my ring and pinky nails. When my pointer and middle nails were dry I applied some Skull Stencils from Stick It! Nail Vinyls and sponged over them with Mundo De Unas White. I peeled off the vinyl and added two red rhinestones on each for some creepy eyes. Then I sponged Milani Red Sparkle on my ring and pinky nails and I sealed them all in with some Seche Vite to finish it off!

I absolutely LOVE how these came out! So sparkly and just perfect for Halloween. BUT, if you want to recreate the glitter part of this look I would highly suggest a peel off base coat... you guys DON'T want to know how long these took me to remove.... -_- LOL!

Totally worth it though right?

Totally Wavy Dude

 Hi guys!

If you haven't noticed yet, I've been using a lot of vinyls from Stick It! Nail Vinyls lately. That's because I am watching the entire collection so there are a lot more to come... they are SO fun though so I hope you don't mind! I think there will be a lot of designs you will love!

So on to the next one ;)

I started this look off with a base of Color Club Beyond. When it was dry I applied some Wave Stencils from Stick It! Nail Vinyls and sponged over them using Mundo De Unas White. I removed the vinyls and added small hearts near my cuticle using turquoise acrylic paint. I sealed it all in with a layer of Seche Vite and that's it!

I always love the way black and white nail designs stand out, so clean! And that little pop of turquoise really make it awesome!

Squiggly

Oh hiiiiiiiii guys! Long time no talk!

Sorry I've been a bit MIA again, if you want to know why follow me on Instagram, I posted about it there ;)

Anyways, my nails all broke, OF COURSE T.T so it's back to nubblies for a little while but hey, that's okay as long as I can still paint them ;)

I wanted to do something simple today and I fell in love with a squiggly (yes, that's totally a word) design on the Expressionism stamping plate from the Winstonia Store... check it out!

I started with a base of Color Club Beyond. When it was dry I stamped over it using the Expressionism plate and Mundo De Unas Light Pink, and then again using Mundo De Unas Light Gold. I sealed it all in with some Seche Vite and that was it!

I'm loving this simple design SO much! It's kind of crazy and that's totally right up my alley ;)

Also, I'm trying a new set up for taking photos, I'm not sure how I feel about it yet but I think I like it LOL! What do you guys think?

Thanks loves :)

Mermaids or Dragons?

Mermaid stencils have been super on trend lately in the nail art community and I decided to finally get in to it and man, am I glad I did.

These vinyls are from Stick It! Nail Vinyls and they are the mermaid stencils, they also carry large mermaid stencils for a larger print.

I started with a bast of Wet n Wild Black Creme on all of my nails. Then I placed the stencil on my nail and sponged over it using Color Club Over The Moon, Color Club Kismet and a cosmetic sponge. I removed the stencils and sealed it all in with a layer of Seche Vite

Okay these are SO FREAKING COOL! I can't believe I waited so love to try these out! My only problem is I can't decide if they look more like mermaid scales or dragon scales ;)

Which on do you think they are?

Thanks loves :)

Anchors Away!

Okay guys, I've gotta admit... I am OBSESSED with nail vinyls lately! I've been using vinyls from Stick It! Nail Vinyls and they are so easy to use!

I decided to use the anchor vinyls today and I'm in love! Anchors are one of my absolute favorite symbols and have been for years now. These ones are just TOO CUTE! Wanna see?

I started with a base of Color Club Over The Moon on my middle ring and pinky and a base of Wet n Wild Black Creme on my index. I applied the anchor stencils on my index middle and ring nails and painted over them with Color Club Over the Moon on my index and Wet n Wild Black Creme on my middle and ring. On my pinky I added dots and a tiny bow with a toothpick and Wet n Wild Black Creme. I added the opening back in the anchors with a toothpick and the same colors. Finally I sealed it all in with some Seche Vite!

I may never take these off.... like seriously! I can't believe how incredibly easy these vinyls were to use! My one tip would be to stick them on you skin first because they are quite sticky but that's never a bad thing!

Reverse Stamping Negative Space

I am in La-La-La-La-LOVE!

So I wanted to try a new way to reverse stamp. I had heard that if you use a silicone mat you can work on multiple designs at once making creating these designs so much quicker! If you've ever reverse stamped before then you definitely know what I'm talking about (P-A-T-I-E-N-C-E) T.T

The verdict? Yeah it's a LOT quicker... but it definitely takes some practice, the technique is a little different. I had to redo these nails about 8 times before I finally got it right. But it was SO worth it! You'll see what I mean ;)

I started off by picking up this honeycomb design from Bundle Monster BM-422 using Mundo De Unas White. Then I stamped it onto my silicone mat which I had already primed with a layer of top coat. Then I filled in the honeycombs, leaving the outlines blank with Color Club Over The Moon, Eternal Beauty, and Miss Bliss. I added another layer of top coat and waited for it to dry, then I used some tweezers and carefully pulled it off of the mat. I applied a base coat on my nails and popped on the design. I pressed it down firmly and removed the excess with an angled brush dipped in acetone. Finally I sealed it all in with one more layer of Seche Vite.

I know it sounds like a lot of work, and it is, but being able to work on more then one design at a time really does make it so much faster. And when you get an end result like this? So worth it.

What do you guys think? Have you tried this method for reverse stamping? Got any tips or tricks for me?

Thanks loves :)

Seaweed-y

Happpppppppy Monday!!

T.T

Why does the weekend never seem long enough?

At least I can look at these pretty nails while I'm at work and imagine myself at the beach instead ;)

I just got a new stamper on Friday, the creative stamper! And let me tell you it's ahhhhh-mazing <3 Along with that the bunches of mini stamping polished I ordered from Mundo De Unas came in too! Time to play, and play is just what I did!

I started off with a base of Color Club Kismet. While my base was drying I reverse stamped using Born Pretty Store plate BP-L017 with Mundo De Unas Green and filled it in with Maybelline Color Show Green With Envy. I top coated it and let it dry and then carefully peeled it off of my stamper and placed it on my nails. I cleaned up the excess and applied a layer of Seche Vite to finish it off.

I ended up liking this design so much more then I thought I would. I don't reverse stamp very often, this is actually my second time doing it so I'll admit that I still need some practice but man, these looked pretty bad ass from far away ;)

What do you guys think?

Enjoy your Monday! ;)

Neon Moroccan

T.T

Why does this keep happening to me?! I keep disappearing! I'm so sorry guys, if you follow me on Instagram (@pinkandpolishednails) I posted a few days earlier about why I haven't posted in a while. Basically my best friend moved to florida, my mom got two puppies, I got a wicked sinus infection, broke almost all of my nails, and to top it off my mom got into a nasty car accident. Everyone's okay, just hurt our pride ;) LOL

But things are calming down finally so I can get back to doing what I love... nails! And I really love this design!

I started off with a base of China Glaze Red-y To Rave. When it was dry I used the Moroccan Nail Stencils from Snailvinyls and Color Club Beyond to create the full design on my ring and middle and I just used a tiny portion to create my index and pinky. I added three dots of China Glaze Mingle With Kringle on my index and pinky and topped everything off with a layer of Seche Vite to finish the design.

I really really enjoyed this design! I love the contrast between the bright neon red and the deep black holo. Super pretty and perfect for summertime!

What do you guys think?

I promise I will be getting back into my normal routine as quick as I can! Thanks for sticking around <3

Thanks loves :)

Stamped Lace Nails

Hi guys!

I hope you're not tired of stamped nails because I just got this plate in from The Born Pretty Store and I am dying! It's a lace plate and every. single. design. is PERFECTION! I've always struggled trying to find the right lace pattern and this plate has 14 full nail designs along with 7 partial designs. Like I said, perfection.

I've used this plate:

To create this design and the image came out so crystal clear. I was very impressed and I'm so excited to try out all of the other designs on this plate.

For this design I started off with a base of Color Club Cosmic Fate. When it was dry I stamped over it using BPS Black Stamping Polish and the design circled above. I sealed everything in with a layer of Seche Vite and that's it!

I love how incredibly easy it is to create intricate, elegant, and beautiful designs with this plate. I really am quite impressed.

You can buy this stamping plate HERE and countless other nail art tools at www.bornprettystore.com

Make sure you stay up to date with all new releases, tips and tricks by following them:

What do you guys think? Will you try out any of their stamping plates? Or have you already tried them? Let me know what you think in the comments!

Monotone Stamping

Hi guys!

It’s Tuesday! That means we’ve made if out of Monday alive! Let me tell you things were getting hairy there for a little ;) But it’s over and there are only good things to come!

I know I’m supposed to have a Twinsie Tuesday post up today, I also know that I haven’t had one in a few weeks and I’m so sorry! My job is really busy right now so it’s hard to find time to paint my nails and somehow Tuesdays always sneak up on me. I was going to do some last night but we lost power when I got home from the gym so I couldn’t see what the prompt was! Booo!!

But enough complaining, I’ve got some really fun monotone stamped nails that I can’t wait for you to see!

I started off with a base of Color Club Beyond. When it was dry I stamped over each nail using Bundle Monster plate BM-320 and the Black stamping polish from The Born Pretty Store (review coming soon). I sealed everything in with some Seche Vite and that was it.

Monotone stamping is one of my favorite nail art techniques, it’s so incredibly simple but I absolutely adore the final product. Especially with it’s holo and creme together, it makes the contrast so much better.

What do you guys think? What’s you favorite nail art technique?

Wave Nails

Hi guys!

Since the weather has been getting warmer my excitement for summer is growing tremendously. Summer is absolutely my favorite season, warm, sunny, and it doesn't take 37584634689 layers of clothing to stay warm! With the summer come THE BEACH. *sigh* The beach. What a wonderful place <3 Too bad I never get to go because everyone around me hates it -_- So i thought I'd bring the beach to my nails instead with these awesome waves!

I started off with a base of Color Club Over The Moon. When it dried I applied the wave vinyls from Snail Vinyls along the edge of my nails. I painted over the vinyls using China Glaze DJ Blew My Mind and quickly peeled off the vinyls. I sealed everything in with a layer of Seche Vite to finish this design off.

These nails really are quite simple but they really pack a punch with the neon / holographic combination. I love ho quickly I was able to create this design with the wave vinyls from Snail Vinyls, they were so incredibly easy to use! Reciprocal Checkerboard Gradient Nails

Reciprocal gradients are so popular right now, I see them all over the place on instagram. And they should be, reciprocal gradients, gradients that oppose each other, are so cool and super intense. There's one lovely lady on Instagram +Simply Nailogical who is absolutely the cray cray-iest reciprocal gradienter I've even seen! She did this stunning checkerboard gradient nail design a little while ago and I just knew I was going to have to try it.

I've gotta say, it didn't take me nearly as loon to create this as I thought it would. But I would have worked on the mani for days, because it is AMAZING! Keep reading to see what I came up with!

I started off with a base of Sinful Colors Snow Me White. Then when that dried I created the first vertical gradient using Color Club Miss Bliss and China Glaze Glow With The Flow. When that dried I applied some straight vinyls to my nails alternating the position down each nail and created the same gradient except with the colors reversed. I peeled off the tape and sealed everything in with some Seche Vite to finish it off.

I can't even get over how fun these were or how many people called me nuts! But hey, life wouldn't be nearly as fun if you weren't at least a little cray ;)

What do you guys think? Would you try this design? If you did send me a link in the comments so I can see them!!

Thanks loves :)

Mini Holo Blobbicure

Oops, I blobbicured again ;)

I had so much fun creating my other blobbicure that I just had to try it out again in mini and holo form. I DIE. I think I love this even more then my original blobbicure, keep reading and you'll see why.

I started out with a base of Color Club Beyond. Then I used Color Club Eternal Beauty and Over the Moon and a dotting tool to create the blobbicure. I sealed it all in with some Seche Vite and that was it!

I absolutely love how Eternal Beauty and Over the Moon pop agains Beyond. I really wish I had the chance to take a sunlight photo because DAMN it was amazing! Maybe I'll just have to recreate this look when it's sunny and I have time to take photos ;) seriously it's THAT amazing!

What do you guys think? What color combination would you guys like to see for my next blobbicure??

Thanks loves :)
