About a month ago (right after the diabetes/dead computer fiasco), a cute reader asked if I'd design some capital letters to compliment my Modern Letter Applique Design.
It took me a few days this week to pull it all together, but here's peek into how I design my letters.

A Gift for my Blog Friends
As a thank you for joining me in my crafting adventures, I've made a new downloadable pattern which teaches you how to make Ruffle Hair Clippies. You can find the pattern HERE. The pattern is a one page PDF file with hand-drawn diagrams and templates for the felt pieces.
I've loved to sew and craft most of my life. Having an audience who encourages me and appreciates what I make has given me additional motivation to make things for my family. My hope is that some of these ideas will spark some creativity for you to make things, too. To create is a God-given desire. Here's to lots more fun in the future!

Another Pattern for You
Well, this week has been tough with sick kids, but during naps, I am really trying to get these Thanksgiving calendars finished. Working on this project, I've been thinking of all my blessings. I am such a blessed woman to have wonderful kids, a supportive husband, and modern medicine. Everyone is feeling better (hooray!), and I can get back into gear finishing the calendars. So, here's the rest of my "Modern" collection...the letters. I hope someone finds them helpful for a project. They are available for download HERE or on my sidebar. Here's to getting everyone healthy!

Modern Block Numbers
Hi there. In an effort to avoid my homework, and to continue working on Christmas associated projects, I have been starting on some Thanksgiving count-down wall quilts based on the design by Melissa Mortensen. See her tutorial HERE. I decided to create my own lettering (or should I say numbering?). Hopefully I will be able to do a tutorial on making your own unique block letters and numbers...anyone can with the method my mom taught me. In the meantime, you can download the pattern and use it to applique to your heart's desire. You can click HERE for the pattern, or download it on my sidebar.
UPDATE: I changed the photo to show how the numbers look on the pockets. I am slowly getting all 36 sewn together.
