I am in Oklahoma City today. It is so great. My hotel is downtown and I walked down to the memorial. It is amazing. If you are ever in the area, you really should go. The pictures were taken on my phone so they aren't that great.
Emily, I wish you still lived here. We could have gotten pedicures and eaten at this great hole-in-the-wall Mexican place I just ate at.

Happiness is having a Denver overnight and Amber comes and picks me up, takes me back to her store and lets me eat anything I want. Sometimes I really really love my job.

You made a big stink recently about an incident concerning my employer (one certain unnamed airline). Valentine's Day

Well, it's 2:30 in the morning. Amber just dropped me off back at my hotel in Denver. I won't spoil it for you, but let me just say. I saw it and I LOVED it!!!

My one coupon deal, and it worked.

I haven't had much time or desire to d much couponning lately, but when I saw Macey post this one on the deal blog (see button at right) I thought I would try. I spent $5.10 and received a $5 gift card. Now I have an easy breakfast for work.

Reason 101 why I love my house.

What a relief

Well, I worked and now I am home. I wore two different shoes and didn't realize it until I got to the airport. My job is different then most in that if you wear two different shoes you can't go home and change or hide them under a desk until you go home that same day. No, when you wear different shoes at my work, you are in front of people constantly and it lasts for 3 days. Oh well, at least I didn't get in trouble (only because I didn't get caught). We also had a little major medical emergency on board one of my flights. I won't go into detail but I would just like to add that I would like to kiss the paramedic, the nurse and the med student who hopped up to help us.

Might I also suggest that you never walk around barefoot on an airplane because you don't know what blood, vomit, urine etc. might have just been wiped up by the flight attendant with nothing more than a rubber glove and a wet paper towel.

I gave my talk in church yesterday. I was so worried that I hadn't prepared enough and it would end after 5 minutes. Nope. I knew I had gone over when I sat down and the guy I was speaking with said, "Thanks." I wouldn't have been really embarrassed except I have a husband who graciously told me exactly how many minutes I had spoken for (22). I didn't even have to ask him (and didn't want to know).

Well, I better get to cleaning. Someone is actually going to drive across town to visit us tomorrow. I feel so special.

I owe, I owe, so it's off to work I go

Because of the complex way that I get paid, I received an advance at the beginning of the month. Well, I ended up not working yet in order to take care of the man and the child that live here with me. This means that I now am in the red to my employer. We are all well (mentally and physically) at my house for the moment so I have to go to work tomorrow. I sat Jordyn down today to explain to her that I am going to work tomorrow. She actually took it quite well, smiled and said "okay". A few minutes later she came to me with her princess suitcase all packed and said "Mommy, I go with you to work."

This might be harder than I thought.

I am really looking forward to some quiet hotel alone time to finish preparing my talk for Sunday. I am speaking on a talk given by Ezra Taft Benson in 1979 titled Five Marks of the Divinity of Jesus Christ. It is actually a wonderful talk and I am loving it. I haven't had to speak in church in a long time so I am just nervous. My ward splits up couples with small children so that they don't have to speak on the same day. It seems like a really smart idea, it is just kind of awkward to speak with someone else's husband. :)

To blog or not to blog

I never blog anymore. I may just start again, just for fun. I have had a very peaceful last couple of hours because my husband and my daughter are sleeping peacefully in my bed. It is so cute. I grabbed my camera to take a picture of them just now and when I took it out of the case I realized that it was open, and therefore on, and therefore dead. Oh well. The battery is charging now. Maybe next time.

I have been home for 3 weeks taking care of a just-slightly-too-sick-for-daycare kid. Now, sure enough, she is better and I am sick. I will be working next week. I am looking forward to the break. (Think sleeping all night long in a big hotel bed and watching something other than Playhouse Disney on the TV.)

In other news, I entered the Fit Challenge at my gym. It is 60 days long. The winner is the person who looses the biggest percentage of body fat. Luckily I have a lot to lose. I was doing so well until today. I have completely deviated away from my meal plan (blame the illness). I will be back on the saddle on Monday. Maybe, when it is finished, if I feel like it, I will post the before and after pictures.
