Papertrey Ink - Glorious Globes: January

Welcome to Day Three of Papertrey Ink's January Release Countdown.

Be sure to check out DAY ONE and DAY TWO over on the PTI blog if you need to catch up on products already introduced.

Today I will be helping to introduce GLORIOUS GLOBES: JANUARY. I've also incorporated two new dies: BOLD BORDERS: ARABESQUE, NESTING BASICS: OVALS and NESTING BASICS: PIERCED OVALS.

You can find all the details about these new products on the Papertrey Ink blog.

The January Release products will be available at 10 pm January 15 in the Papertrey Ink store.

I started today's card with the globe and the oval it sits on. The globe stand is from the previously released GLORIOUS GLOBES: BASICS, and the globe and sentiment are from the GLORIOUS GLOBES: JANUARY addition. I added a tiny wooden heart and some white linen thread to the globe and popped it up onto the oval panel.

The oval panel was cut with an oval from the NESTING BASICS: OVALS set, then the piercing detail was added with the NESTING BASICS: PIERCED OVALS set.

I added a little stamping to the pierced oval: The rays are from CORNER ADORNER: NOVEMBER, and the tiny stamped hearts are from yesterday's WORTH THE WAIT set.

In the back is a BOLD BORDERS: ARABESQUE diecut in white over a Limeade Ice card base. For added pops of color, I inlaid some Raspberry Fizz and Harvest Gold.

Papertrey Ink - Worth the Wait

Welcome to Day Two of Papertrey Ink's January Release Countdown.

Be sure to check out DAY ONE over on the PTI blog if you need to catch up on products already introduced.

Today I will be helping to introduce WORTH THE WAIT, and EVEN MORE: WORTH THE WAIT, both darling baby-themed sets filled with hand lettering and a bunch of tassel images for building garlands.

You can find all the details about these new products on the Papertrey Ink blog.

The January Release products will be available at 10 pm January 15 in the Papertrey Ink store.

My card today combines both sets. The tassel garlands in the background were done with WORTH THE WAIT, and the sentiment was done with EVEN MORE: WORTH THE WAIT.

I stamped the tassels in Limeade Ice, Aqua Mist, Dark Indigo and Weathervane. In between the tassels I stamped some darling little circles to look like felt pompoms.

The splatter in the background was stamped using CORNER ADORNER: JANUARY, which was part of yesterday's product introductions. I die-cut the perimeter with piercing detail using NESTING BASICS: PIERCED RECTANGLES, then added the lightly ink-blended sentiment panel.

Papertrey Ink - Bold Borders: Love + Glorious Globes: December

Hi there, friends, it's DAY FOUR of Papertrey Ink's December release countdown. What do you think of what you've seen so far? There's so much more to see today and tomorrow!

I am sharing a project I made with BOLD BORDERS: LOVE, the latest in the Bold Borders series, and GLORIOUS GLOBES: DECEMBER, also the latest in a year-long series. Both are heart/love themed, just in time for upcoming Valentine's Day crafting.

You can find all the details about these new products HERE.

The December Release products will be available at 10 pm December 15 in the Papertrey Ink store.

I've combined both products on my card today, as well as a few other new December products. To begin, I die-cut and stamped the large globe from GLORIOUS GLOBES: DECEMBER. I love these layered hearts!

I placed my globe onto the largest heart from the FROM THE HEART die set. For a fun bull's eye detail, I added the concentric pierced circle detail to the heart using the new NESTING BASICS: PIERCED CIRCLES die set. I added the "with love" sentiment by combining the stamped word "with" from FROM THE HEART and a metallic gold "love" die-cut from the BOLD BORDERS: LOVE die set.

For my background, I die-cut BOLD BORDERS: LOVE from Smokey Shadow cardstock and placed it on a Smokey Shadow card base, which added some subtle tone-on-tone texture.

Papertrey Ink - From the Heart + Sentiment Staples: I Love You

Hello and welcome to Day Three of Papertrey Ink's December release countdown.

Be sure to check out DAY ONE and DAY TWO over on the PTI blog if you need to catch up on products already introduced! It's another great release!

Today I will be helping to introduce FROM THE HEART, a sweet little Valentine's/Love themed mini set, along with the latest in the Sentiment Staples series, SENTIMENT STAPLES: I LOVE YOU.

You can find all the details about these new products HERE.

The December Release products will be available at 10 pm December 15 in the Papertrey Ink store.

I've combined both sets on my project today. Let's talk about FROM THE HEART first. This set has a large solid heart heart stamp image along with a multitude of words to build your own sentiments. The two fonts are just darling - one is an all-caps brush style and the other a handwritten script style.

Instead of building a sentiment, I used the individual words in a more graphic way to add pattern to my FROM THE HEART diecuts. The companion die set has four nested heart dies, one that fits the heart image in FROM THE HEART, and then three other sizes too.

Here's a closer look at some of those words/fonts. I stamped the words randomly and white embossed for a nice pop. I even white embossed on the white die-cut. Love the subtle texture of the white-on-white embossing.

Last, I added a larger sentiment from SENTIMENT STAPLES: I LOVE YOU heat embossed in white on black card stock. I lightly splattered the Classic Kraft background panel, layered the hearts on top, and accented with clear sequins to finish.

Papertrey Ink - Mix Ups Pocket Tags

It's Day Four of Papertrey Ink's November Release countdown. There are so, so many fantastic products this month!

Today I will be showcasing MIX UPS POCKET TAGS, a pocket tag-building set designed by Dawn McVey.

You can find all the details about these new products HERE.

The November Release products will be available at 10 pm November 15 in the Papertrey Ink store.

I love all of my tag dies, but these new MIX UPS POCKET TAGS are something special! There are three separate tag bases, and then three shaped dies that cut the top edge of the pocket front. You can mix and match to your heart's content, and then just stack and adhere. Voila, you have your pocket!

In the photo above, you can see the two tag parts I combined. The die I chose for the pocket front, with that arch in the middle, is probably technically upside-down, too. I wanted to experiment with both orientations, and I think they look beautiful both ways. So even more options!

I created my tag from Stamper's Select White cardstock, then ink-blended in Saffron Spice for that golden ombre effect. I added splatter in both Saffron Spice and opaque white.

Next I used the new FOREST FLOOR: WINTER stamps and dies to create the label and the beautiful winter foliage. Did you see all the amazing FOREST FlOOR: WINTER projects on Day Two of the countdown? All I can say is WOW!!

I tucked a gift card down into my pocket and almost stopped there, but decided to use my tag on a card instead. I used the NESTING FRAMES: PIERCED RECTANGLES to add the piercing detail to a Weathervane panel, added some Weathervane shading and some white splatter, and adhered to a Weathervane card base.

Papertrey Ink - Glorious Globes: November + Nesting Frames: Pierced Rectangles

Hello and welcome to Day Two of Papertrey Ink's November Release countdown. If you missed Day One, click HERE to get caught up.

Today I will be helping to introduce two new products: GLORIOUS GLOBES: NOVEMBER and NESTED FRAMES: PIERCED RECTANGLES.

You can find all the details about these new products HERE.

The November Release products will be available at 10 pm November 15 in the Papertrey Ink store.

GLORIOUS GLOBES: NOVEMBER is the latest in Lizzie Jones's fabulous year-long globe series. November's globe images and sentiments are snow-themed, which makes them perfect for the whole winter season.

I started out with my base layer of Papertrey's Stamper's Select White, which I ink-blended in Aqua Mist, Blueberry Sky, and Enchanted Evening. I added some water splatter, as well as watered down Enchanted Evening splatter and opaque white splatter.

Next I used the NESTING FRAMES: PIERCED RECTANGLES dies to add the stitching detail. This nested set is designed to coordinate with the NESTING BASICS: RECTANGLES collection introduced in yesterday's countdown. Instead of snipping the NESTING FRAMES: PIERCED RECTANGLES apart and using them individually, I kept everything wired together, which made this look super easy to achieve (almost like a cover plate die).

I do have a confession: I broke my wire snips trying to cut something I shouldn't have, so keeping this set wired together was my only option ;) I love the way it looks, though!

I die-cut two SNOWFALL STYLE 1 snowflakes, coated them with clear glitter and adhered to my background. I stamped two sizes of the globes in Pure Poppy and Weathervane inks. The sentiment is a combination of the "Joy" word die-cut (in Dark Indigo) from last month's BOLD BORDERS: FLURRIES die set and a stamped "to the world" from last month's SENDING JOY set.

Yuletide Deer - Papertrey Ink

Happy Friday! Last weekend, I had a little extra time in my craft room and couldn't resist creating another card with the adorable deer image in Papertrey Ink's FAWN & FLORA set.

Instead of the usual fawn color, I decided to stamp the deer in grays. Love the lighter look! This is SOFT STONE and WEATHERVANE. The sentiment is stamped on vellum in a light red pigment ink, then heat embossed with clear powder.

I ink blended and splattered a BOLD BORDERS: YULETIDE die-cut to use as a frame.

I also ink-blended and splattered around the perimeter of the white card base for a softer, tone-on-tone look with the BOLD BORDERS: YULETIDE frame.

So glad you stopped by! Have a great weekend!

Shiplap + Farmhouse Window - Papertrey Ink

Papertrey Ink's October release is now available in the Papertrey Ink store

I have a few more cards to share, starting with this shiplap WINTER WINDOW scene. The shiplap look is super easy if you have any type of striped cover plate die. I used Papertrey's HORIZONTAL STRIPES COVER PLATE here. Of course you could always use a paper trimmer to cut the strips, but I think the die-cut strips have a more finished look.

I (like many) love the modern farmhouse look, especially houses with white shiplap and black windows, so that's what I've created here.

Behind the window, I put together a winter scene using mostly the images and dies from the WINTER WINDOW collection. The only addition I made was the snowy hills landscape, which I did with the SHAPE SHIFTERS: OVAL 2 die.

I stamped the sentiment along the top, using a MISTI to stamp multiple times for good coverage over the horizontal strips. The tiny holly and pine images are from FAWN & FLORA.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Papertrey Ink October Release - Winter Window

It's Day Four of Papertrey Ink's October Release countdown. Welcome! I'm excited to help introduce WINTER WINDOW stamps and dies today.

You can find all the details about these new products HERE.

The October Release products will be available at 10 pm October 15 in the Papertrey Ink store.

WINTER WINDOW stamps and dies by Lizzie Jones contain all sorts of different dies and images to create winter and Christmas window scenes: falling snow, a tree, deer, holiday swag, candle, etc.

I wanted to create a nighttime scene outside the window, so I ink blended a night sky, stamped some falling snow, and flecked with shimmer spritz. I added the tree to the left and then thought it would be fun to add Santa's sleigh using an image from Betsy Veldman's FAIRY TALE CHRISTMAS collection. (The Santa sleigh in PETITE PLACES: HOLIDAY LANE that should fit, too, if you have that.)

The sentiment diecut is from last month's BOLD BORDERS: YULETIDE, and my snowflake backdrop was done with this month's BOLD BORDERS: FLURRIES. I really wanted to make a shiplap background around the window, but it wasn't turning out quite like I envisioned, so that may come another day.

I thought the card needed a little sparkle, so I added some silver glass glitter to the window perimeter.  It's quite sparkly in real life, and breaks up all the white in the background.
