IN LOVING MEMORY ~ MANDI GARDNER

Okay this isn't recent news but I have been meaning to post this for sometime now.

Mandi Lyn Gardner
Mandi Lyn Gardner, age 30 of Payson, was tragically and unexpectedly taken from us on Saturday, February 2, 2008. Mandi has suffered the pain of multiple surgeries and complications from a broken hip and femur this past year.

Mandi was born August 30, 1977 to Floyd Samuel (Salty) and Leona Clayson Gardner. She graduated from Payson High School in 1995 and from the Utah College of Massage Therapy in 1997. She owned her own business in Park City for a time. Mandi was a fun, creative and very caring person.

She married Travis G. Broadhead in July, 2003 and they lived in Heber. They were recently divorced.

Mandi was a wonderful and creative mother to her son, Waylon T. Broadhead, age 4. We know her heartache in leaving him behind.

She is survived by: her son, Waylon; her mother, Leona Gardner, Payson; her sister, Melanie (Jim)Olsen of Ogden; her brother, Chad (Brittney) Gardner, American Fork; her adoring nieces and nephews; Emily, Jay and Sarah Olsen; Hayden and Dylan Gardner and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; her ex-husband Travis and step-daughter, Mercedes Broadhead of Heber.

She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd, last February. We take comfort in knowing of their joyful reunion along with Grandpa Max Gardner, Grandpa and Grandma Leon H. (Bud) and Grace Clayson and Uncle Mack.

Services will be Thursday, February 7, 2008, 11:00 a.m., in the Page Ward, 711 South 600 East, Payson. Friends may call Wednesday, 6-8:00 pm at the Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, or at the church, Thursday, 9:45-10:40 am. Interment will be in the Payson City Cemetery.

There has been an account set up at any Zion's Bank to assist with expenses and to provide for her son, Waylon.

************
Mandi and I were Best Friends all through High School and I can honestly say that I don't have a memory from High School that doesn't include that Crazy Girl.

Two of my Favorite Pictures of she & I

While on Tour with the Dance Company we hitched a ride on Shamu at Sea World

And were also attacked by Big Foot at Universal Studios
I miss you all of the time Mandi! Every time I drive past your parents house, hear someone laugh, look at old pictures, remember something from High School and also every time I hear a song from our past. You were such a Great Friend and I wish that we would have kept in better contact with each other.

Love, Your Friend Denise

This won't be a normal blog in the traditional sense. It will mostly be a link page to the alumni of PHS Class of 1995. If you wish to be added to this list, just leave a comment with your name (the name of which we knew you in high school) and your blog address. Also, if you know anyone not on this list that should be please let us know!

I will update this blog as I get new addresses and comments. Who knows I may even post a few random posts and old pictures here and there.

Thanks to the SFHS Class of 1995 for the Awesome idea! Their site is full of links, email addresses and information so let's go Payson! Also, if you graduated in a PHS Class other than 1995 and would like to start your own class blog let me know. I will add your link to this blog as well.

Please post the link for this Blog on your Blog Page so that more people can see it in the hopes of getting all of our classmates on here.
