Hi Everyone!

Today I'd like to share with you my Whimsy Inspiration Challenge card!

"Anything Goes"!

My card today features the sweet 'Jenny' from Wee Stamps. I have also used the 'Layered Snowflake Dies' and 'Girl Talk' sentiments, both are also available at Whimsy Stamps.

For this card I decided to make another Snow Globe card on my Silhouette Portrait, but this time wanted to have a different background so that the image pops a bit more. I  used a digital paper from the Sweet Shoppe Designs 'Believe in Magic - Ice Magic' digital kit.

The image is stamped with Momento Tuxedo ink, coloured with Copic markers, then fussy cut, and added to the centre of the card.

I used Fun Flock to give her a fluffy coat, and added Stickles for some sparkly snowflakes, and finished with a few pearls.

Hi Everyone!
Today is the Whimsy Rubber DT's turn to share their challenge creations for the Whimsy Inspiration Challenge blog.

This month's "Party Time" theme was great timing, as I wanted to make a card for my beautiful niece Addison's 1st birthday! She is an absolutely gorgeous little girl, smiley and happy, sweet and cuddly... and this little fairy "Posey" by Wee Stamps was just perfect for her!

I also used the Whimsy Shapeology "Banner Pennants Die Set", "Double Scallop Tag Die", "Just My Type" lettering set, and matching "Tiny Shapes Dies", all available at Whimsy Stamps.

Hi Everyone!!
It's Whimsy Inspiration Challenge time again! Our theme this time is "All Things Sparkly!"
We'd love for you to join us! You don't have to use a Whimsy image, but it would be great if you did;) And it doesn't have to be a card - we welcome all paper projects. Don't forget to check out the challenge details - and your chance to be a Guest Designer with us - over at the Whimsy Inspirations Challenge Blog!

Isn't this snowman adorable? He is the cute "Flakey Friends" by StampArt by Kathryne. I've also used the 'Let it Snow' from "Christmas Sentiments" by Raindrop Echo Designs, and the fabulous "Whimsy Layered Snowflake Dies", all available from Whimsy Stamps.
To give him a bit of background I cut some little houses from some digi paper and cropped them around him, so at least he doesn't look all alone out in the snow! And I just love aqua and red together so they were the colours I chose. I did go a little crazy with the Stickles... but he IS a snowman, and the theme IS 'sparkly', so I had a valid excuse LOL!!

Hope you like my Sparkly Snowman!

I hope everyone has enjoyed the Olympics as much as we have! What a fabulous and exciting couple of weeks it's been. Good old GB sure did put on a fab show, and I know our UK family and friends have had a blast! (Not sure what to do with ourselves now that it's over though LOL!)

So onto my card... This little fellow just might be dreaming of being in the Olympics one day! ;)
He is the cute "Little Bear Canoe Adventure" (and included Sentiment), by StampArt by Kathryne, available from Whimsy Stamps.
I'm a big fan of cards with lots of layers, and have real trouble making CAS or single-layer cards, so this challenge was right up my alley! I often use Sketch Challenges to find new layouts - if you don't use them give them a go - they can give you some great new ideas.

Hope you like my little canoeing bear!

We'd love for you to join us! You don't have to use a Whimsy image, but it would be great if you did! And it doesn't have to be a card - we welcome all paper projects. Don't forget to check out the challenge details - and your chance to be a Guest Designer with us - over at the Whimsy Inspirations Challenge Blog!

Well it's the middle of winter here in Australia, and I've been struck down with the dreaded Flu, so some "Summer Fun" sounds great right about now! I didn't feel much like card-making - but getting on with it and focusing on a bright, summery card was the perfect cheer-me-up!

This cute image is "Little Bear Ducky" by StampArt Design by Kathryne, available from Whimsy Stamps. The adorable image comes with the Bonus Sailors Hat (which I couldn't resist!) and a heap of cute sentiments (yep used one of them too!), so it's a great value for money set!
The Little Bear's rubber ducky is paper-pieced to make it look different from the real duckies, and I used Sweet Stop Sketch - SSS168.

Hope you like it!

And a close-up...

Whimsy Inspiration Challenge #47

Hi Everyone!!
Time for another Whimsy Inspiration Challenge already! Our theme this week is "Monochromatic!" (i.e. Use any shades of one colour only).
Sheesh 'Monochromatic' made me have to think a bit! Not to mention I chose PINK which I hardly ever use! So I went REALLY girly and chose this fun image "Shopping with Rita" by Crissy Armstrong, available from Whimsy Stamps.
I picked out some pink papers from Echo Park "Yours Truly" collection, and then decided Rita would look pretty good in a pink herringbone dress, so paper-pieced one out for her. Then got a little carried away and decided her precious puppy needed to match - with hot-pink diamond studded collar too of course. Yikes! Never let me near pink again!

Hope you like it!

And a close-up of the paper-pieced image...

Whimsy Inspirations Challenge #46

Hi Everyone!!
Welcome to another great Whimsy Inspiration Challenge! Our theme this week is everyone's favourite... "Anything Goes!"
You don't have to use a Whimsy image, but it would be great if you did! And it doesn't have to be a card - we welcome all paper projects. Don't forget to check out the challenge details - and your chance to be a Guest Designer with us - over at the Whimsy Inspirations Challenge Blog!

I decided this week to show you a card that I made for my hubby a while ago. It was in Whimsy Magazine Issue 7 (can be seen on page 93) but I've never shown my lovely Blog Followers!
These are such a wonderful idea. You buy these sweet little bears, and the fabulous Kathy (StampArt Design by Kathryne) then personalizes them with your own loved ones name! How CUTE is that??
(You may remember I also used Kathy's "Personalized Birthday Princess" HERE for my niece Jaylah). There are several of Kathy's 'Personalized Bears' available over at "Whimsy Stamps" so check them out!
This one is "Little Bear Personalized Sweater - I Love You..." and was for my hubby Colin, so I used more 'blokey' colours from the My Mind's Eye 'Stella & Rose' Hattie - but still managed to squeeze on plenty of flowers! ;)

Hope you like it!

And just my Colin Bear... (love you babe!)

For this card I chose from the gorgeous butterfly collection by Moon Cookie Gallery. This one is "Sunflower Butterfly", but there are so many beautiful choices - all available from Whimsy Stamps.
I thought the "White on White" would be so difficult, but had fun playing with textures and depth rather than focusing on colour.

Whimsy Inspiration Challenge #40

Hi Everyone!!
Welcome to another great Whimsy Inspiration Challenge! Our theme this week is "Vintage / Shabby Chic!"
You don't have to use a Whimsy image, but it would be great if you did! And it doesn't have to be a card - we welcome all paper projects. Don't forget to check out the challenge details - and your chance to be a Guest Designer with us - over at the Whimsy Inspirations Challenge Blog!

I love Vintage / Shabby Chic style cards - but have so much trouble making them... I always seem to neaten all the 'shabbiness' up! But it's definitely a style I want to try more of as there are so many fab ways to create with it.
For this card I used the pretty "Blooming Border 2" image by StampArt Design by Kathryne. I used the image twice to make a frame (digis are so much fun to play with like this!), and popped a sweet sentiment in the centre from "Flowers in Bloom" Sentiments by Raindrop Echo Designs.
The gorgeous Digi papers are Michele R Designs "Basic Vintage Papers", also from Whimsy Stamps, and they are the perfect set for this theme! The butterfly is cut from this paper set too, with the wings folded up too look like it's fluttering.
Hope you like it!
And another angle...

Sundays with Crissy Challenge #29--Things with Wings AND Whimsy Inspiration Challenge #38

Hi Everyone!
This weeks card double dips for both my Sunday's with Crissy and Whimsy Inspiration Challenge! I made it for my 'Crissy card'... but then realised it was too perfectly matched for this weeks Whimsy challenge not to use it!

So here we go! Firstly...

Welcome to another great Whimsy Inspiration Challenge! Our theme this week is "Make It Pop!"  (For example add some dimension to your card... or however you interpret it!)
You don't have to use a Whimsy image, but it would be great if you did! And it doesn't have to be a card - we welcome all paper projects. Don't forget to check out the challenge details - and your chance to be a Guest Designer with us - over at the Whimsy Inspirations Challenge Blog!

So join us for this weeks Whimsy Inspiration Challenge #38 - "Make It Pop"!
You could win 5 Free Digital Stamps of your choice, so click on the link above and get creating!

And now....

Welcome to another new challenge at "Sundays with Crissy"!! Our theme for May is... "Things with Wings!"
What a fabulous challenge this month - so many wonderful images to choose from! I was tempted by the beautiful butterflies, but in the end couldn't go past the adorably chubby cheeks and fluttery wings of "Cute Cupid" by Crissy Armstrong (of course!), available from the fabulous Whimsy Stamps.

So now it's your turn... Make your way back over to the Sundays with Crissy blog and play along too - I can't wait to see your "Things with Wings" creations! You can enter at Sarah's Post - Here!

And now for my card....

I decided Crissy's "Cute Cupid" should be among the clouds, so I used the awesome new Shape EZ Cloud Card Template also from Whimsy Stamps - love this template and it was so easy to use! I just distressed the edges to try to make it look a little more fluffy and 'cloud-like', and edged it with Stardust Stickles.
Of course I double mounted Cute Cupid and popped him on a cloud for his comfort!

Hope you like it!

And to show how it opens...

Hope you all have a fabulous and creative week!

Love & Hugs,
