Wanderings: Somewhere Warm and Sunny

Today I was practically desperate to look at some POE photographs that depicted warmth and sunshine (those located in the cold, rainy northeast of the US can probably understand why...). Here is a collection that should bring you back to a summer state of mind (even more can be found here):

Mosaic Monday: Summer Heat!

It's been so hot this summer!  Not that I'm complaining cause I love the sunshine, the dry heat, summery breezes, popsicles, iced tea with lemon & mint, kabobs on the grill, corn on the cob......
What I don't love is the soggy heat, bee stings, ants in my kitchen, wet & smelly bodies & that lazy feeling when I can't get anything done!

I was drawn to these POE Team photographers & their fine examples of summer!

Mosaic Monday: Summer Fun

I'm fortunate to live in a part of the world where I can enjoy all four seasons.  Each one brings different ways to spend my day, a new dress style, yummy foods, and of course....different photo shoots!  Summer is my most favorite time to just relax & chill out!  I don't clean my house much, I hardly wear any clothes, grill everyday and eat lots of fresh fruits & veggies.  Oh, and I chase bugs & critters around the yard trying to capture that special moment.

What do you love about summer?

Enjoy the lazy days of summer from the POE Team.....

Wanderings: POE beach day! Let's step into liquid and play hooky together!

So, I thought with it being summer and all, most of us are probably behind our computer screens daydreaming of nurturing sunshine, sand between our toes, the ever fine smell of sunscreen and stepping into liquid (one of the most gorgeous movies btw!).

Maybe your vacation is only a few days away and you just need that little something to get you through until then. Or maybe you can't make it to the beach this year and need a visual reminder of the warm sweet salty air. Well, I'm here with the devil horns on to lure you to be a bit bad! Run away with me for the day and let's play hooky at the beach!

Grab your sunglasses, beach reads, towels, flops, swimsuits, surfboards, beverages, everything you need for a fun day at the beach! I'll provide the water, sun and sand, compliments of our fine POE photogs!

All of these images are sure to evoke a symphony of seagull chirps and rolling ocean waves. Just sit back, relax and soak up some rays! Oh, but don't forget to bring your camera!

New Works!

I've been thinking about nature this week, I think maybe because the seasons are changing. Even though the fall is gorgeous and winter is so pretty, I'm already missing the warmer months as I put my jacket on before I go outside. I'm noticing that the light is changing. It splashes onto corners of brick buildings and the sidewalk, and when the wind blows I stop to listen for the rustling of leaves. I look to see them blowing down the street and I think to myself I can't believe how quickly the year flew by. If I start to feel a little blue about it, all I need to do is check out the photography on Etsy to perk me up. It really works! I chose these photographs this week because some of them remind me of the warm sun on my skin, cool lake waters and the promise of new seasons. And I chose a few others to remind me of the dazzling photo ops the rest of the year will bring.
