Integrity 2010 Lines Unveiled - Link

Doll collector and photographer Shuga-Shug has photos and posts about the Integrity Toys 2010 line.

Love Staying Power Darius Reid - he has a warm brown complexion, attractive dark suit, and an antique looking leather bag that seems to have been shrunk to 1:6 scale. Fire Within Jordan looks great, too. Real leather dress gloves. Private Goddess Natalia Fatale is another stunner, only I have the 2008 Natalia so - pre-purchase downsizing in place ;-D - I won't try for her.

I.T.B.E. Luscious and Romantic look gorgeous as well. Dynamite Girls Sooki and Reese are on my wish list. Sooki has curly blonde hair while Reese seems to have a new face mold.

Sigh. Possible new Mixis, new Integrity, and as always, new Mattel dolls.

Action Figure Line-up at StinkersStuff

Have you ever wondered how action figures stand against fashion dolls, particularly the taller Fashion Royalty dolls? Well, Johanna of Stinker's Stuff offers this fun visual aide plus review of several current action figures.

She also has an impressive line of fashion dolls here.

Sigh. That's how I want to collect once I have downsized.

Top Ten DAFs of 2009: Bewitching Hour Luchia at 2

Manufacturer: Integrity
Series: Fashion Royalty, W Club 2008
Character Name: Bewitching Hour Luchia
Box Year, if Noted: 2008

Why is Luchia on the Top Ten list?

1. She is gorgeous.

2. She has attitude.

3. She reminds me of a blond Emma Peel.

4. She has better articulation than I am accustomed to (think basic Barbies).

When I showed a relative a photo of Bewitching Hour Luchia, I was told that I would not buy that doll because that doll was the sort that men buy. Cocked my head to the side and looked at the doll again. Bouffant blond hair, [her] flesh-colored mini dress, black slatted knee high boots ... I could almost understand why my relative had that thought. In some circles, Luchia might look like a high priced um call girl. Hmmm .... Well. Okay, she still reminds me of Emma Peel of the Avengers, only Luchia's back story came from an American Anglophile. She should be in action movies where she should know umpteen martial arts AND fencing and spy stuff.

Why is Luchia second on the Top Ten list?

The doll that placed first has two advantages over Luchia.

Hair Check Before the Catfight

Maybe I'm influenced by the last article I read, the parody on America's Next Top Model.

Maybe I'm tired of pining after dolls I cannot get just yet.

Maybe I'm tired of Barbie talk - oops, well, yes, most of my recent posts have been Mattel focused.

Whatever the reason ... I gathered some of my Integrity Fashion Royalty dolls and I started shooting (photographs!). Here's my favorite:

Aren't they super divas?

Home Problem - Where to Hold Deboxed DAFs?

Okay, I've launched the Great Deboxing Project or the DAF Streamlining Project. I will open up the dolls and action figures I want to keep; sell or donate the others. I'm setting aside the plastic components from the paper/cardboard parts of the packaging. (Figure I'll check with a recycling group - should have started there with my offer - to responsibly process unwanted material.) But here's a snag: where to place the newly deboxed dolls and action figures? Where will their homes be?

The boxes protected the figures. At least from dust. How to protect them now?

I've got one IKEA Detolf glass cabinet. Can't afford more of those at this time. Plus the one I put together was tiresome to put together. So the second one I had, I kept in its box only to have it broken by the next to the last movers. (Those charmers hid the broken Detolf cabinet box behind several other cardboard boxes so it was a while before I found out the damage they had done. Grrr.) What else?

Three plastic shelving units - the kind some people use in garages - and one Sterilite four-drawer plastic chest. Some of the doll boxes (Fashion Royalty, Susie, Mixis) can be used to store those dolls on the plastic shelves. A few Mattel boxes can also be retained for that purpose.

I have several plastic bins, too. Problem there is that I can't seal the dolls or action figures in because the plastics might mess up. The different chemicals might cause melting or mold or something BAD in my figures. Can't have that happening. So I am thinking, thinking, thinking about the "home" problem.

Any suggestions or advice welcome. As/when I come across solutions, I'll post them here.

The Photo That Inspired a Custom Sofa

I love the colors in this photo: the dark, peppery red, the tawny-gold pants, the Power Team figure's dark brown hair and his warm, ruddy-tan coloring. Cute as he is, sprawled across the wine tapestry rug, he deserved better.

A black leather sofa, I think. Yes, that's what he needs. So I bought a leather-like remainder piece and set aside two of the Fashion Royalty shipping boxes. Just need to set aside time to put the sofa together.

2009 Integrity Toys Doll Photos

Sigh.

There are so many new dolls in the Integrity Toys 2009 line up that are screaming my name.

Nu.Face coming out in May 2009
"Old is New" Giselle
"Style Mantra" Eden
"In The Mix" Takeo

Dynamite Girls coming out in March 2009
Rufus, Sooki, Dayle -- possibly Aria and Jasper

Maybe the Fashion Royalty Basic Jordan doll ...

Oh and a new series called Integrity Toys Basic Editions -- I want the two Black dolls and the two blonde dolls coming out this June.

Sigh. Time to run through the collection and sell some older dolls.

Fashion Royalty Luchia Z Arrives!

W Club Bewitching Hour Luchia Z has arrived.

She's every bit as lovely as described by other collectors. Jason Wu and the Integrity staff have done a wonderful job. She has a French manicure - where the tips of the nails, both fingernails and toenails, have white tips and "sheer" polish. Her lipstick is the faintest pink bisque, and her eyes have real lashes. Her black trench coat and the black corset belt ... wow. The mini dress is like dusty pink champagne.

FR Moods Collection: Body Double Veronique Query

Does anyone know when the FR Moods Collection 2008 are due out? I ordered a Body Double Veronique. I am looking forward to receiving her. Had to pass on the gorgeous white gown and the incredible black wool coat, but a tanned Veronique? Sigh. Could NOT miss.
