Scouting

I drove to Benjamin today to check out a 14 acre piece of land for sale. It looked something like this:

The across the street neighbors:

Lovely.

Now I just need a butt-load of money.

Vicious Cycles

Now I understand why Emily thinks it's so funny to tease small babies and dogs.

Cousins!

Pen got to meet her cousins Jensie, Asher, and Frankie (and Auntie Erin and Uncle Nate) for the first time today. They must smell like Emily or something because she sure started lovin' on them quick.

We love you guys, and secretly hope you'll move back to Utah and start a farm with us in Benjamin.

Ghetto Girls

Sittin' on their mattress bed, homemade doll faces proudly presented, and Kate is pantless.

But they sure do look happy.

My favorite - the triplets.

Our Amazing Inchworm

Emily's Secret Love

While rummaging through Emily's personal belongings, I found the following saved postcard:

Can you blame Brandon? Look at this little cutie:

One day I hope to write a post card that Emily will keep for 20+ years too.

Last Summer

Last summer Erin and Frankie paid us a visit. The grownups stayed in the kitchen and talked about philosophy and stuff when Erin looked out the window and she saw:

If you can't tell what that is, it's Frankie swaying her little body inbetween the slats of our fifteen-foot-high deck. Well, here's another view to help you understand what she saw:

She ran out and BARELY saved Frankies life. I vowed to Erin I'd make the deck safer before Penny could crawl and die. So:

and

2 Months and 40 degrees later, turned into

and

No more baby death which makes Pen:

Crazy looking? Anway, special thanks to Emily and Trace for painting.
